Title: Best alt-coin?(requirements)
Post by: trexxit on December 05, 2013, 05:04:46 AM
Doing some research / project on alt-coins and currency conversion for profits.Whats the best alt coin? Needs to fit in these requirements:
  • Easy to mine,
  • Have a decent payout that will be noticeable at low hashrates
  • (as in for inf coins 5kh/s quark coins30kh/s
  • Can be converted on cryptsy to LTC or BTC
By decent payout , at the hashrate for IFC i gained 16 cents overnight,(which then doubled by watching and conversion)
For anyone who post some replies, Thanks for the help!

It seems to me that you don't really understand crypto.

Easy to mine
Every coin is easy to mine, when mining directly from the client. Though I think what you mean is that a hashing algorithm should be used that is widely known that has dedicated miners written for it.

The market dictates if your payout will be reasonable, not the algorithm. Of course the algorithm can be written in a way to benefactor certain groups, or people at a set time, or block height.

Why does a coin need a listing on cryptsy, there are some perfectly fine other exchanges with decent volume out there as well.
All in all your topic can be summarized to:
"Profitable Altcoins are good Altcoins"

It does not matter crypto coin ( other than BTC ) is easy to mine or not. The main thing is - if it is popular for users and if there are Web sites, which use it.  ;D

The only thing that matters about mining is that it discourages centralization.
