It doesn't really prove anything at all but gives the illusion that it's somehow making it so you can't cheat. I'm not accusing you of cheating but the claim on the website is in my opinion false. Since I haven't got a reply, I'll guess what's happening: -you get random data to say who wins, hash it, release hash, then people play, then you pay, then you release random data The main problem is that in this case, releasing the hash does nothing. It doesn't prevent you from playing your own game to win. In fact, it just proves you know what ticket will win before hand and you just have to buy it at the right time to win and no one will know. Really, the only way to prove you "aren't monkeying around" is to have a method by which the winner is determined by a method that's beyond your control and that others can check for themselves. Really confused me as I must have entered using my development wallet and then trashed the wallet so had to restore from a backup, and so although I still had the private key had lost the labels. I just upgraded to v0.4.0, loaded the wallet and there was the 4BTC! Normally I keep less than 1BTC in that wallet as test stuff so can easily lose it and was really confused where the 4 BTC came from! Had to trace through BlockExplorer/google to find where it came from. Went to this address: 1AJV5E8BYAFqm5opaeg1UbK7pWZZeSzP2F So it is not a scam! Good Luck!
