Title: 2013-12-13 MoneyWeek.com - The End of Britian
Post by: No_2 on December 08, 2013, 06:17:14 PM
Not a direct Bitcoin article, but very much related. Few people are reporting openly on the indebtedness of the UK.

MoneyWeek open letter (http://info.moneyweek.com/urgent-bulletins/the-end-of-britain/?infinity=gaw~DISPL%2BSPCFC%2BThe%20End%20Of%20Britain~DISPL%2BSPCFC%2Binterest%2BAvid%20Investors~29654344389~placement:www.cryptocoinsnews.com~c&gclid=CL7BuuyZlbsCFRMRtAod7ggAjA).

And:

Video of the MoneyWeek open letter (http://info.moneyweek.com/urgent-bulletins/the-end-of-britain-video-2?youtube=REMAR+Banned+MoneyWeek.com&gclid=CKD8_o6RobsCFUYTwwodBGcANQ).

The government can take your money, but not your Bitcoins. The later part of the video covers the likely 'nationalisation' i.e. confiscation of people's money by the government as many indebted governments have done before.

Resource allocation, like religion, needs to be divorced from government. Bitcoin, hopefully, is just the beginning.

[Edit: You can read a counter argument to the MoneyWeek open letter here (http://anotherangryvoice.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/moneyweek-and-their-end-of-britain.html).]

alrite misery guts, he did say it wasn't directly related... does the world really have to revolve around the keyword of 'bitcoin' for it to be considered relevant, or is it conceivable that there are some things that might actually be related to the topic without needing some journalist to make the connection for you?

Also, it's almost a year old and according to other sources written by their marketing department.

It matters in the Press Forum. This forum is specifically intended for posting links to articles about bitcoin. Other posts belong in another forum.

Amusing at the very end of the article, they offer to sell you a years subscription of the magazine for a 49% discount if you pay using credit card, the very thing they've been warning about the entire article lol.  Capitalism, gee ain't it swell!
