Hi all,

talking with other people and reading forums around i have realized that the majority of the people dream to could travel around the world .
Many people also dream to get paid to travel e.g. as a photographer or something similar.
At the same time most of these people have not experienced  this thing they dream of or they have experienced it for a small time e.g. vacations.

Well, having done a job where i had to travel around the world for several years and i was getting paid (i was a skipper) i do not think that it is so nice after all.

It is very tiresome to be all the time somewhere else , not having people that they love you / know you , around you not having roots in short words.

So i wonder . Why so many people dream about traveling? Is it from ignorance? Is it because they cannot understand how tiresome it can be? or is it because they do not value enough their home and family/relatives/friends ? or something else?

I think this must be one of the major reasons. I do dream of traveling a lot whenever I want, however, I do understand it can be extremely tiresome, and eventually, the joy will decrease regardless of the destination.

Because foreign scenery and many things have never been seen, it is very attractive.

It's to relieve the boredom of everyday life, see what is out there in the real world. The planet is big, not good to just stay in one place.

Everyone wants to prove themselves to others, and that makes them want to go to many places in the world and meet many celebrities.

Everyone has different opinions about this, but I'm sure many people travel for the satisfaction they want to get.

Most of the people would like to go to travel around the world just like me because i want to explore the wonderful places of our world and have a very especial moment with it along with my family.

Everyone loves to try and do new things.  Thats why even going to places that they haven't been there before excited them and relaxes them

People like to travel because they want to experience something new, see some beautiful faraway country and get away from their ordinary everyday routine.
That means that the majority want's to go on holiday, few weeks tops, not on a permanent basis.
Going on frequent business trips is very tiresome and exhausting.

Live life, travel, experience different cultures and meet new people.  I’d love to be able to travel the world one day.  I believe life experiences is the greatest thing you can give to yourselves and your loved ones.

well people always think about the fun side and never think about the tiresomeness side...First of all, imagine yourself traveling around the world and seeing several things, having lots of fun, meeting new people, making new friends and learning new things. I did not travel in any other country yet. I want to travel, becouse I want to change location for several time. It's so difficult for me to go any other country. Probably nobody is saying that they want to be constantly traveling. When people say they want to travel the globe it should be pretty obvious why. Who doesn't want to see multiple different countries or tick places and activities off their bucket list. People like vacations but it wouldn't be a vacation if it was constant. I'd love to travel the world, but maybe over several years or a take a year out or something to do so, but I certainly don't want to spend the entire rest of my life traveling. It sounds like you just had a job where you had to travel, but probably didn't spend significant time in each of the places you visited and I could understand how that would be tedious, but I think you're misunderstanding what people are saying.

Everyone likes to experience new things and explore new places they have never been before. Most of them will get into commitments which ma hold them from travelling but these days lot of them are up to it.

Most people would like to travel to new places as a break from their usual life. It gives them rest from their routine home-work life which can really be exhausting.

Travelling is a breathe of fresh air. People say discovering new cultures and visiting new places help a person grow spiritually. It gives you a broader perspective of life.

I also have to travel a lot as a part of my job. I can say that there is a huge difference between travelling because you have to and because you want to.
When I`m on a business trip it is almost always tiresome and stressful and overall feels like a missed opportunity - usually I don`t even have enough time to go sightseeing, only work.
During vacations it is totally different story, I enjoy every hour of being abroad. It`s a much needed break from everyday routine, one should not underestimate it

Personally i love to travel around the world because i felt very satisfied when i tried other culture of the country

My 2 biggest reason would be :
-To let out the stress, and loosen oneself
-To explore the world, therefore learning more about yourself.

People like to travel around the world because of many reasons, genuine travelers mainly like to experience different weather types, culture, language, lifestyle, sometimes cost of travelling/living is cheaper as compared to home country. There are people who like to travel to just take pics for their FB posts or other social media, they have extra money to waste, mainly to show off to other people lol, they do it because other people are doing it.

Traveling is an experience and an opportunity to see the diversity of the world, to try and experience something new, to get to know the culture of other nations.

If I have the means to travel, I'd like to travel around the world. But that's not my priority since I have to prioritize first my family.

Travelling is a great way to escape everyday routine at least for time being. It doesn`t necessary mean travelling around the world, but meeting other cultures is a great opportunity to obtain new experience.
For this matter, travelling around the world in one trip may not be that good - too much impressions in one go, I`d concentrate on one country each time.

I think that many people are not satisfied with their work and life. Therefore, they just want to go somewhere and never come back.

It is possible that you treat this as a job and therefore do not understand the others, but on the other hand, people may not be able to understand you because they have not traveled!

Nevertheless, there are people who were able to make travel their professional activities. They escaped from the daily routine and do not regret it.

I do love to travel because it allows me to see different cultures, see different places and meet different people. Of course, it's not cheap, which is why I truly enjoy Google Earth VR. It lets me "visit" the places I will never be able to visit unless I have a lot of money. I still hope to visit them in person but, until then, I'll have to settle with VR tourism.

Obviously, because it is the most interesting thing in the world. There is nothing more breath-taking then waking up in a new unknown but so magnificent place.

I think they would like to find inspiration. And to feel the taste of life. It`s cool to have the opportunity to travel. People can see architecture, another lifes and stories, and may be they also can get away from boring life.

I think that people dream of this as a general to know new cultures and places and that they are paid for it, but I do not think it is due to ignorance, on the other hand I imagine that they only want this type of employment only for a certain time, I doubt that a person wants to be traveling all his life, as was your experience that you got to a point where you get tired because you needed your family.

mainly because travelling dont just fill your passports with stamps but because its a great way to be one with the world, to learn new things (not all stuffs are being learned at school) to have new experiences, to learn a lot of lessons, to know different stories of different individuals and places, to open our minds of whats really out there. Some people dont understand the feeling we get when we travel, its the feeling of peace and contentment and the feeling of being free excites us thats making us do it more. Exactly, When people think of "travelling the world" they think summer hats and khaki pants. Maybe because what most people see are the curated pictures of "world travellers" under palm trees or ice skating.


I wont say they "dont value their home". Perhaps you speak from the perspective of someone who's tired of being away from home all the time. that is why you've had enough of  the whole thing.

It is true that most people now are dreaming to travel the world, it's probably because they want to experience something new and to escape from the normal life they have on a daily basis. This reason might be too petty for you, but for them it isn't. Same goes with you, you have travel the world enough 'cause as you mentioned it was part of your job, that's why you were kinda' sick of it already, these people who dream to travel feel the same way you do, they are somehow sick and tired of the life they have so the only sweet escape they can think of is to go out and explore the world.

Most people dream of traveling, because they got stuck within there daily lives and habits. For some it can be a daily grind. Travel will open the ways for new possibilities and experiences. Traveling around the world would be incredible... I like to write reviews on products I have experience with and also talk about places I have been. Someone who hasn't travel around to explore new countries and culture is missing out big time. I understand not being to afford travel, but with a bit of work and sparing everyone can go out for a tour. I made it as a goal to travel every year to a new country/continent.

It will help you grow as a human being. It will open your eyes and give you some perspective.

Agree with most of the replies here – travelling the world really opens your eyes, especially when you speak to the locals and understand their culture through their history, food, and lifestyle. When you discover these new things, it brings joy!

People would like to travel around the world because they would like to enjoy their life and experience new things.

I know a few people who travel around the world.
They quit their ordinary jobs, decided to change their life and start something new.
They wasn't happy with their lives and wanted to be free, without any stress or daily routine.
So, they started to travel.

The reason is simple, no matter how tired it is, a new place, a new culture, it is always something that excites, in fact the place that relaxes you most can stay longer, it is something really spectacular is a huge type of pleasure .

Is it because, even how tiresome it is, it is still worth it when you see the place you visit how beautiful it is and it was a once in a lifetime experience when you go to a good and beautiful place, because not all of us have a power to travel most of the time because of the problem of a budget for sure. I am also one of those who wants to travel with my family but I don't have enough money to do what I want.

Don't you wanna meet new people, new friends, try new delicacies, visit beautiful new places, feel you're one with the nature and learn new things, new languages/culture? Well, that is fun and pretty awesome :)

Being home in the place you're familiar with is nice but you will see different things (food, culture, people, etc) by going abroad, which is exciting. You will for sure have story to tell.
Of course if you have to work then it could be a different story, especially for longer time. You probably feel homesick and want to go home but you can't because of your work. But still, travel around the world is fascinating experience. You'll probably miss that too after you go back and settle.

Yes indeed I personally would want to travel around the world. See different sights, meet  new people and experience other culture. But putting down some roots still in some place you feel home.

Not all travelers are like you in which traveling for work and not for pleasures

I love to travel with my love ones so we can enjoy each place together and spend the whole vacation going special areas..the Ambiance,the other culture and the foods from those we traveled

But in your case ,its not the same feeling as we have because youre there to perform job and not the totality of happiness with special someone

It's one of the best jobs ever if you have the privilege to travel around the world and you are getting paid for that. I know it's tiring but that's the joy of most of the people, to travel in different places that we haven't been with.

Simple, when people want to who experience new things then they have exploring the world best option,even I would like to do when I want a break from my stress life but not much to be honest.

They have person qho are really want to travel in the different places lile evry country.  But once you travel you need money for the transpotation and foods and shelter and other expenses and for sure only people can travel to other country who have good budget. They travel because they want something new like new experienced.

Why most people would like to travel around the world?

We usually feel tired when we don't like what we're doing, based on what you're trying to say. Travelling, if you love doing it, you won't feel tired.

It's very simple, because people feel empty, monotony, every day because of daily routine at work,  home etc.
They want to live "full life " and have many great experiences and memories and travel around the world is good way to achieve it.

I think it is the same case with what people think about remote work.

Most of them think that it's easy and fun since you can work whenever and wherever you want. But the reality, it doesn't.
It's the same as working by traveling.

I believe the problem is because there are no boundaries between the one you like (traveling or flexible time), with working. They got mixed up and so it's not fun anymore.
You have to have dedication and discipline to keep them in the place where they should be. Have fun (and only enjoy your time) while traveling, and focus on your responsibility/task when working.

It is a dream mate to step on another countries land even just for a single time,seeing place that you only find via internet is a dream come true.just like me that I want to come in Venice (Italy)
I know that it’s more better if we support our tourism campaigns but it’s not bad to go to some place that will give you comfort and relaxations.more than 60% of the tourism area in my country has been done by me,and I have lot of time to finish the last 40% so dreaming abroad is normal and reasonable since we are a travel buddy me and my wife

Travelling makes me more communicative and open-minded. I prefer solo travelling, you can schedule your time by yourself and you need to talk to other people, otherwise you're lost.
It is some kind of adventure for me, especially if you go to less tourist crowded areas.

Base on what I always hear to my friends travelling is their way to relieve stress and to explore other places. Seeing the beauty of each places and taking pictures as a remembrance is a moment to treasure.

You used to travel for years that might be the reason why you're tired when travelling, you travel not to enjoy but to work. I think you have to change your mindset whenever you're in other countries. Take time to relax and dont think that you're working, enjoy the beauty of every places you've been.

Because most of the people are stressed in their 9-10 hours job and some people do travelling around the world cause it's their dream, in addition it can also remove all your problems and stressed once you already do at least one of your dreams.

My next travel/goal : Japan 

the scene behind this is that, most love there family and most would like to travel with their family due to the expenses involved they could make for them alone. already from child birth most love travelling while don't like at all.

It is tiresome because it was a work for you. Try to do it for fun with someone you love

we have all dreams of some place,and making it as reality is really fulfilling so exciting,interesting and fulfilling is the right terms to use.

Because they wanted to see the natural beauty of the world. They are crazy about getting information related to different places, events, weather, food, culture traditions and many more. They loved to meet different people of different places, cities, areas and countries.

That's the thing about humans (and other animals). New things excite us, it is rewarding (gives us a rush of dopamine)
