Title: Quick guide for someone who wants to mine
Post by: if_so_klara_99 on May 08, 2018, 01:45:26 PM
Hello, I wanna start mining and I just downloaded NiceHash, my computer seems to have enough to start mining... But now I don't know what is this worker and the program is asking for a wallet?  ??? Can I insert any address?

This will be the wallet where the coins you mined will be sent to!

It's absolutely important to use an adress that you own by yourself, otherwise someone else will get free coins.

The worker is essentially the computer you are trying to use. They usually give you an ID number, username, or something to delineate the worker. Then when you start the miner and connect to a pool, you can user that ID for the worker to sign in to the pool

I do not recommend using your computer to mine, the profits are going to be quite low (if not negative). Cloud mining might be a better option, although the 1 year contracts will not reach ROI (return of investment). Genesis mining might be the best out there, they are offering lifetime BTC mining contracts (sadly they are out of stock).
