Title: 1 BTC = 2 USD
Post by: hippich on February 20, 2011, 03:54:16 AM
I believe 1 BTC should cost 2 USD (well... right now, and in future - much more!).

Since I believe in this, anyone willing to buy anything in my Personalized Gifts Store (http://store.gifti.us) will get this exchange rate no matter of current exchange rate at mtgox.com or similar exchangers.

Well as long as you keep the btc(not even trade it) until it's trading for over $2 you should be fine.

depends on what you order, but usually about 10 bucks +- $5 per order =) And if actual shipping charges are less then estimated - I always will be glad to refund difference.

You can get estimate by adding something into cart and proceed to checkout. Enter you shipping address and it will show you price of ups ground shipping.

1 BTC = 2 USD would make me a rich man ;)

I have a feeling that you are about to become one pretty soon. ;)

EDIT: Too bad hippich doesn't offer food and fuel. I am actually in the process of getting my friend who owns a bakehouse to start accepting BTC, so at least I won't die of starvation if I ever wanted to use Bitcoins for buying food. Still, can't be too healthy eating only bread and cakes. :)

Added manual bitcoin payment option. So now you can create actual order and mark it as bitcoin-payable. Then I will send you address to pay to bitcoins and once they are in - your order will be processed.

still a lot of manual work.. next is custom currency - BTC and if I will start receiving orders with it - creating payment module.

On your page, when I click the "bitcoin accepted here" button, I get a tiny pop-up which is not very adapted for https://www.bitcoin.org . Also, sending to a non-certified https page makes it somewhat dirty for a newbie... (sorry for the kind of feedback I am giving, your idea is great, though!)

thank you for feedback. will fix it. i had exception for https://bitcoin.org and it worked well for me, but yeah - this domain uses some custom certificate, so I will open it in plain http://

Hey, I suggest you point to BitcoinMe.com instead. As of your idea: It is great! You are the first who puts his money where his mouth is. When I mine enough I will buy the Silver Chopsticks, do you ship to Mexico?
