Post by: Johannson on May 08, 2018, 11:58:31 PM
Prices for monero are so low now due to lawsuits, so this could be a good time for investing and holding for the long term ?

You have a brilliant idea, as what you have said monero price is at low level now, and you want to invest, well it is good for you, because monero is also one of those potential coin, so go and invest now and holding it for a long period of time until their price grows up, and I'm sure you have a bright future of earning multiple income on this business.

Yes, you are right
if you believe in XMR coin in view from last January then the price is currently very low and it has the potential to rise again because it has a lot of community and strong.

monero never become a coin that has a high price, but if now the price of monero is low we do not have to worry about it because now is the right moment to get profit by buying at low price and waiting at high price.

I'm not sure what lawsuit you're talking about. Please do link the article where it says that, because I definitely haven't heard anything of that sort.

If you refer to the charts you'll see that even though the rest of the crypto market went up drastically, XMR actually didn't move much during this short period of bullishness that we have experienced thus far from around 3 weeks ago, unlike other alts like EOS.

To me, this is a good opportunity to buy and shows that XMR is definitely undervalued and under appreciated. XMR is one of my favorite altcoins to hold for the long term, because IMHO it's just way more practical and useful compared to other existing altcoins. Entering at a point right now where XMR isn't hyped up is definitely a good long term investment.

currently the monero price is only $218, that means there is a 20% drop from the price of $270 on the 4th of May yesterday. but I am concerned his price will continue to decline, as other countries will be affected to ban the use of monero in his country.

my thought too! Because when the issues in court is settled it is going to have evey serious pump that may see monero getting close to it December 2018 high. I see this as a great opportunities for one to invest and I am going to buy some units of it.  However investing into cryptocurrencies is a very risky venture and you should no how things work before putting your huge capital.

FSA of Japan spread FUD, because this country is trying to regulate cryptos and wants to forbid those coin which transactions cannot be traced. Monero if one of these coins. Japan threatened Binance but if just moved the office. I think this is how this stuff is going to work, actually. These coins might become illegal in Japan, but I bet major exchanges will not delist them. The price is about 40% down, so it might be a good chance to invest, as nothing is actually wrong with this coin. Dash is only 20% down, but I suppose the same holds for it as well.

There is no Monero ban in Japan, just a recommendation by the FSA and so far no one has followed this recommendation. Also, the recommendation is probably due to the Coincheck hack and the Coincheck delisting of privacy coins.

So, just the usual FUD which isn't based on facts or reality.  ;)

Check the BTC/XMR chart which is more relevant. Monero was 0.025 on May 4th and is 0.024 today, which is a 4% drop. Alts always go down when BTC goes down. The rest of what you wrote is lame FUD, there is no ban anywhere.

I agree, it wan't anything definitive just some recommendation and proposals from the Japanese government. People are acting like sheep when it's about crypto currency and it seems like a lot of them never learn   ::)

Who cares about the lawsuit ? Monero is decentralized and anonymous, I don't understand how can a lawsuit affect the price that much but anyways this could be a great time to stock up on cheap monero

Which lawsuit? Is there a link?

Edit:

Maybe you're mixing Monero up with Nano: https://cryptoslate.com/nano-lawsuit/

I just went on a google search, couldn't find anything about a lawsuit.

I think monero is already overpriced due to their unlimited supply of coins. Better off investing in a low supply coin like xspec or deeponion. As they have low market caps the potential for massive gains is better than monero.

Exactly. One exchange that was hacked. Instead of focusing on security, rather started complaining about non traceable currencies.  That was all.

In general. In some normal democracy I dont see any chance that any private ledger cryptocurrency will get BANed. No court will pass that.  Privacy is basic human right.

I think monero is already overpriced due to their unlimited supply of coins.

There is limited number of coins at any point of time. And realy realy limited. Like 1000 times less than many other currencies.  Monero coins are actually quite scarce, since emision schedule is decreasing rapidly.

Right now is close to 16 millions XMR.  End of 2030 so 12 years from now will be 19,5 millions XMR. So tiny 21% increase in long 12 years.  And tiny 3.5 million XMR.

I went check your coin. Deep Onion have right now Total Supply  20,167,697 ONION. Monero will not have 20 million coins before  year 2032. So for miimum 20 years that coin will have bigger supply then "the unlimited supply Monero".  LOL

In the same situation, the price was too low in Zcash. Projects that are confidential can not be funded as they are moving towards becoming a market center.

I absolutely agree, I think when a promising coin is experiencing difficulties and its price is at low levels - this is a great time to invest

It's not only good to buy this in a dip mode because monero shows secureness. This altcoin has the potential among any other altcoins. It's good to have more of it currently and wait for the price till it increase again. Best line of crypto should be in my own opinion is, BITCOIN,ETHEREUM(even thou sometimes LEDs secure) and then Litecoin, XRP, and monero. So good to have these coins.

you are right, maybe i have misread the graph, please correct it. I am also very worried and panicked to hear about this ban, because I am a holder of monero. hopefully this is not true and monero can go back up.
