Asking for advice about a step to take is good especially in sensitive cases but they can only give you an advice, it is left to you to decide what to do with your money but I think you should hold the money on a long time as it has the tendency to yield potential profit in the near future.

Also offers smart contracts via Eths virtual machine, you could instantly port your Eth dApps over to Quarkchain and get higher performance and better scalability. No one has a glass ball on these sites but this one has tons of potential to go up, Holo went up over 10x from ICO and this will blow it out of the water if they get even a small % of their TPS rate, it also benefits from plug and play with Ethereum apps. I'm buying in myself, probably put 0.5 BTC on it or maybe a whole, the team is solid so I've got faith on something which really seems too good to be true. They are aiming for 100,000+, even 20,000 would be over 2x as quick as the current fastest coin, Visa being a centralised system operates at 24,000, Quarkchain will be fully decentralised and faster. Nano being one of my favourite coins due to it's speeds pomotes a max of 7,000 TPS -- If I had to recommend a current coin, I'm bullish on Neblio, currently the price is probably a bit high to buy in though, 0.0013 would be a good point if we see a correction. That being said, my opinion is that Ethereum and Monero are 2 good coins to bet on. Ethereum because, uh, its Ethereum. Then Monero, because it's one of the best privacy based coins out there with a really active devleopment team. You can do your research and invest in some hot ICOs if holding one or two months through an ICO is short enough time period.

Anyway, but in the end, it will still be your choice so if you really want to invest go for XRP, Waves, and Stratis. These are cheap coins that have a future in the next 3-5 years. You could buy into just about any established coin and do fine. But, that would require the market to go up. Which, if that doesn't happen, then more than likely you're not going to do that well anyways.. I think the market is starting to recover though.

It's not a good long term investment in my opinion, but there is legitimate potential for it to increase in price drastically this year because of the fact that the main net is scheduled to be launching this year, and that can cause a lot of hype. Buying some now during the dip could be very profitable, in my opinion. Also IOTA, it's not listed on bittrex or poloniex, and prices have surprisingly stayed relatively quiet during the past few months. I think that could be a good short term investment as well. I often trade on Binance only and I often check to find out cryptocurrency has highest dump rate then I often choose these cryptocurrencies to invest in but sometime I don't do that if these cryptocurrencies are not really good :)). I think you should try this way by looking for cryptocurrencies in top 50 or 20 on Coinmarketcap with highest dump rate to invest in for short time :D
