Title: [FUD] Alert: Bad news, from sources! 嚇人的話 <---Proof
Post by: proudhon on December 18, 2013, 03:57:46 AM
We all know that some really awful news has been fully confirmed here (http://www.epa.gov/chinese/) by the Chinese Ministry of Source Confirmation at the PBOC.   Officially, the facts are as follows (I'll provide with sources where possible, google the rest for proof):

(1) Bitcoin cannot be bought and sold.  This is absolutely true in China as of 48 hours ago.  See the section titled "壞事嚇得互聯網賺錢"
(2) China plans an international committee to prevent all banks, worldwide, from interacting with the word "bitcoin".  This was also confirmed by some twitters.  Unfortunately, they were quickly deleted, but the head of Paypal confirmed this 2 hours ago here (http://here).
(3) Satoshi appears to have been captured (http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1t1o9d/satoshi_found_chinese_gov_has_bitcoin_shutoff/).
(4) China has plans to shut bitcoin off, not just in China, but worldwide.  I can't find the link for this one, but it's a chinese website called "Sinai" or "Sinu" or "Sina" or something like that.  Just google it, you'll find solid proof.

It looks like this is the end of bitcoin.  If you can sell and get your money out, you probably should.  Quarkcoin is probably a safe investment for now.

Also, Fuck China. They will shut down nothing outside of mainland china. I'd like to see them try. Do they want a war?

This is not clutter, this is frightening truth, which is further confirmed here at the official PBOC website! (http://www.pbc.gov.cn/publish/main/3638/1699/16996/16996_.html)  This is amazing!  I can't believe it's all coming to an end.

Just got off the phone with the Ministry of Sources of the PBOC.  They confirmed that the rumors of the past 24 hours are in fact false.  That being said, it's not good for bitcoin.  They will be adopting Quarkcoin as the official currency of China.

In all seriousness, there actually hasn't been ANY bad news from China yet, at all.  "News" so far:

China doesn't consider Bitcoin a currency and doesn't allow financial institutions to treat it as such.  Uhhh....duh?!  Was anybody with any clue whatsoever actually expecting them to?!?!

China isn't allowing payment processors to handle Bitcoin transactions.  Uhhh....duh?!  You know what else they don't allow payment processors to handle?  Gold and Silver.

All news so far from the Chinese government so far have actually been encouraging, not the other way around.

Both these China news stories that "crashed" the market were no more than clever Chinese knowing if they dumped right at that time, people in other countries would panic and start selling as well, then the Chinese could sweep in and double their bitcoins by buying back when it dropped in half.

All you people panicking are being played, 2014 is going to be a huge year for Bitcoin.

Boring. Ignoring.

ps-never noticed that when you ignore an OP the whole thread gets minimized on the thread list.  ;D

Chinese government demands complete forfeiture, penalty for noncompliance is death (http://techdirt.com/youreallyneedtogetinthehabitofhoveringoverlinksbeforeyouclickthem).

Heh, your link description is almost more believable than the OP's FUD.   ;D
I was compelled to click it anyway regardless of the href and all its bogus glory! Delicious intentional 404s, mmmm.

Also - don't forget to remind everyone in this thread that everything on the interwebs is 100% factual and true.

PS. I'm the real Satoshi. I'll be shutting down Bitcoin on 2014-02-29, and soon thereafter the world will self destruct around 2014-04-01 (give or take). Feel free to send all your bitcoins to me now for a ticket off this doomed planet!   ;)

I will generously lube my arm, reach deep inside her through her anus and feel her intestines moving her waste rhythmically, romantically, through her body. I don't think I can be happy until I can crawl inside her digestive system and hide from the world. Milking her from the inside out, while upside down will be a glorious experience, usually reserved for only the most wealthy of men. The faint glow of the candle lights will be twinkling through her uterus, into my warm new home I have built inside of her.

I'm simply amazed at those who can't see the...
... writing on the wall? Bitcoin's dead. China made up ~80% of total purchase done on exchanges just a few days ago (@~$850). Now it'll be 0%. Fundamentally, the price of a bitcoin should be (and soon will be) $170. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375376.msg4019714#msg4019714) Of course, it will sink much lower due to panic-selling.

This is so sensational it's funny.
I am not in the least bit worried about the roadblocks in China's way.  America had them too.  Every country will give push-back when a new challenger comes up to the plate.

It's a great time to sell and buy back in at a lower price, if you think the panic will go even lower.

I don't see what's the problem here, all the Chinese people using Chinese exchanges should just transfer their bitcoins to another exchange (Mt. Gox) or even their own wallets.

That's the beauty of bitcoin, isn't it?   no one country and/or government can stop bitcoin at all, just in case anyone hasn't notice the bitcoin network is the most biggest super computer on the planet and still going.  probably going to double in the next 3 months or less.   Isn't this the reason for bitcoin in the first place... it's decentralized and unregulated.  I don't understand the stupid people who care what governments have to say.

fuck them, bitcoin is untouchable.

problem solved

This is all funny as hell, a horrible attempt of FUD and a bunch of intentional (and sometimes weird) crud following it up, who the hell cares how China does with crypto's, I hate waiting for goods to get here from China, and since I order alot of food mainly I prefer fresh food so local is where i want to buy (still order fish from Japan though, they are bigger than usual lately at same price).

You must not understand how Communist China works.

that's my whole point bitcoin doesn't need china, sure they can block facebook, youtube, twitter, and bitcoin... but who the fuck cares bitcoin could be $20 and still the best payment system the world has ever seen.  you want to follow the chinese like little sheep go ahead.  especially if you're not from china why the fuck would you conform to their government's rules.

seriously it's their loss, and for them to do this they actually have realized that there is something to fear in the power of bitcoin.

For those of you who dont get the joke yet, Proudhon is trolling the shit out of you.

He doesnt think bitcoin is going to end, he is making fun of people who panic.

This, he's making a point about the 'news' so often posted here with dubious sources. I thought the bit at the end about the scamcoin was a dead giveaway, if not his sources he linked to.

lol, good one

It looks like this is the end of bitcoin.  If you can sell and get your money out, you probably should.  Quarkcoin is probably a safe investment for now.

Why is this thread in "Bitcoin -> Bitcoin" instead of in "Speculation" or "Bullshit" sections ?

Chinese police shot and killed 14 people during a riot near the old Silk Road site (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/16/china-riot_n_4451198.html)

They hunt down all bitcoiners as they suspect they are all silk road users!

Having bitcoins is now felony in china :(

Amazing.

agreed the idea of bitcoin and cryptocurrency is way more exciting than monetary rewards, though profit is a bonus lol. all this fear is coming from bankers. know your enemy.

I'd hate to date China. One day she's riding you and gobbling up your load. Then someone tells her lies about you so she kicks you out and sells all your shit to a pawn shop.
