Title: Cheap bitcoins are great!
Post by: Elwar on December 18, 2013, 08:16:04 AM
Thank you all for the FUD!

I have been buying so many cheap coins.

Almost 100% BTC now.

So relieved to be back to a price where I can get rid of the useless fiat.

Almost 100% BTC now.

Heh.  You're either brave or dumb to be bragging about that right now.

there were 3 early adopter stages, this one would be 4th. A stage where you can buy cheap bitcoins before the general public. First was since inception to start of 2011 at sub $1, second was $2-$5 in 2012, third was $100 this summer, and fourth one would be early 2014 at around $300-400.

That is a time when you can buy lots of bitcoins before the next rally starts and that price becomes an interesting history reference or used in "ah I wish I bought then" sentences.

A prediction I pulled out of my arse concerning the near and medium term: We'll see $700 before $200 and $100 before $1000.

Double digits are almost certain in my opinion, single digits are almost impossible.

ok thanks, but does this imply there will be other early adopter stage parts, or is this by definition finite?

I guess every period of stability after retraction qualifies. But each one is several times higher than the previous, meaning more people participate. I guess it would end once we reach wide adoption and there's no more retractions

I think after the fifth one, the price becomes prohibitively large for small investors to buy whole btc's.
