I just noticed some questions about this topic so I listed some seven reasons why people want to have a cryptocurrency transaction rather than fiat.

1. INCOGNITO. this is the main reason why people use it. You cannot trace crypto transaction and its perfect from hiding.

2. CONVINIENCE. people nowadays are so lazy that they want to have transaction while seated comfortably on their home. With just one click , crypto can be transferred as payment to whatever they want. Well, who doesnt want that anyway.

3. TREND. basically, people want to try something new, something not ordinary , something innovative and if it was used by all their friends, they want to use it also.

4. ILLEGAL. yes, i dont want to include this but i saw many topics about this also. If you want to buy on black market or an illegal item, your transaction should not be traced as i said on our first reason so Crypto will help you hide on cops but not forever.

5. MODE OF PAYMENT. this is where some people buy an item usually using the profit they had on investing bitcoin even just holding. Ex. If you have 1btc and after a month it becomes 1.5 btc and you want to buy an item that cost 0.005btc and crypto is accepted as a mode of payment, you will use it ofcourse rather than fiat.

6. TECHY. it seems that techy people using cryptocurrency as a mode of payment see themselves as going with the flow of technology considering that bitcoin is the new technology of currency for the new generation.

7. SHOW OFF. whether we admit it or not, some people use cryptocurrency just to make their status up. Telling their friends about how wealthy they are and keep boasting for their ego.

I think that you're completely missing the most important economic aspect of bitcoin being a store of value.

With fiat currencies currently being widely adopted, it's almost hard to see where the problem lies with it. But there is a problem, and a huge one, as fiat is not a store of value in the long run. In fact, no fiat currency has ever even survived past a few centuries, let alone retain its value.

With BTC it's different. No central entity has control over its supply, and with the hard coded limits in place, it's a good long term store of value just like precious metals.

I guess one more option can be added. Apart from privacy, anonymity, security, ease-of-use, fast, fees (Although Bitcoin fees are fairly low, still not suitable for micro transactions, but with large amounts it beats any traditional mode of payment) and transnational, cryptocurrency transactions are also non-reversible. There is no risk of chargebacks, eliminates chances of fraud.

Since the thread is about medium of exchange, the fifth could be purchasing power.

Yeah, like timerland mentioned apart from medium of exchange, it's store of value/not prone to inflation/be your own bank.

it is very convenient for me, no need to go to the bank, wait when they will appove it, losing several business day and pay taxes for it, time is most precious resource right now, so if u have a pc and internet u should do many things by one click like sending money for example

and for me there is noffing to hide, i am a ordinary man with the ordinary life, i dont steal money and i dont need anything illegal

I think I belong to 1 and 7 topics that are similar. Because I do not have a personal computer at home I'm just in a computer shop and there internet. So I often use incognito for safety. I often boast of my friends who do not know this cryptocurrency. Often I boast of it with my friends and that grows up to them that I earn money without sweating.

I can find myself in points 1, 2 and 5.
Although Bitcoin isn't so anonimous and incognito like it was at the begininig still it's easier not to reveal the identity than with fiat money.
For me Bitcoin is also very convenient, it's available to me always and everywhere and also I like it as a way of payment, especialy if I use Bitcoin debit card.
Showing off was for many users the reason at the very begininig of Bitcoin when only few were familiar with it but now I think this has changed.

I agree to what other members have said earlier, The ability to pay Bitcoin directly from address to address is merely incidental to my main point of keeping Bitcoin. I used Bitcoin mainly to earn money from trading other cryptocurrencies or BTC to USD or Vice Versa and the benefit of sending Bitcoin is like just an option or added benefit of keeping Bitcoin for me. I know it is not the purpose of Bitcoin in the first place but I will be dumb if I didn't take advantage of Bitcoin's price movement. Money can be made just by trading and I don't want my money to lie idle in my wallet.

Number 1, incognito. This is the main reason I join cryptocurrency. I want my wealth to be hidden in government or to anyone. I'm not boastful not the showy type.

 2nd and 5th reason should just be combined as one (both sounded similar or that's just me) since Bitcoin can be used as an alternative payment method it gives convenience for those who want to spend so they won't have to visit exchanges just to convert. Better replace one of the two that I mentioned or just add the reason profit since that's what all of us are aiming for when we invest and make crypto transactions.

I think I belong to no. 1, 2 and 5, just like as you stated I like how perfect it is for hiding. No. 2 because of its convenience to transact anytime. And no. 5 how easy it is as mode of payment.

Yes one of the main reason here is the anonymity of transactions and the volatility of the coins that you are holding, The price or value of it, The user who owned the wallet or the one who make transactions will not be trace because of the security.

This one is a crazy thing, to those who fall on this number 7 line. You gonna end with nothing if you use crypto currency for your ego, add the point that you need to hide your self and account to protect all of your asset. For me, I fall on number 1, 2 and 6 ( for the reason that I see what are the advantage of having this in the near future. )

Number 2 convenience because i like the way we're using Bitcoin as a mode of paying you can save time and effort you just need an internet to transfer money or even pay to your bills even when your at home.

I am not sure why have you not added one very important point here, people earn real money with the fiat currency! I think thats the prime reason as to why people are here and why most of them are entering here. I dont think that anyone really cares about the incognito mode and anonymity of the crypto currency. Actually that has given them a sense of earning more as they could just do everything without anyone's notice and with ease.

I guess I can relate in Number 1 and Number 6.  INCOGNITO because it is really such a convenient to be able to exchange and transact in the crypto world because it can lessen issues regarding your transactions and TECHY because Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin is booming and soaring right now and I was one of those people who became interested in what the future holds in Cryptocurrency.

i think i am the convinience  case i know and i actually support the being convinient of cryptocurrencies nowadays. cause we are all know that people nowadays are too lazy they dont want to go in other banks to transfer money from on to another. i am sure that huge of cryptoholders are in the convinience we are lucky that the existence of cryptocurrencies are in this era. in our era so we have a choice what path we chose right ?

its me...TREND. and i am here TECHY. I am always curious about something new, and it looks complicated. and I am always happy with innovations, not just crypto or bitcoin with blockchain as the technology. but in all aspects.

Out of your points, I'll probably choose convenience. Sending crypto is hassle free. Plus, if you want to spend your crypto, doing it directly is more convenient than converting it in the middle.

I would be number Six in the selection - TECH. I always follow the latest trend in technology because I believe that technology will always be on demand Bitcoin revolutionize the way of paying and invesment.I was hesitant on investing before but its different on bitcoin.I'm ALL IN. It changed the way I think about investment .

These two points are what I like about crypto.

I like the privacy factor, banks and governments cannot easily
know what I have.

I have used Bitcoin as a mode of payment in the past, not just
because I was spending profit but because I had it and I didnt
have FIAT also because the seller accepted it and it was easy.

If all of the above applies to the situation now, the main drawback of the crypto currency, this is that at one point it can end up with a purse with a symbolic pair of dollars in equivalent.  :)
Why do people have an incognito, they hide everything and need anonymity?

To my mind, crypto is a fast (not always, but still) and cheap way to transfer your money abroad. Fiat becomes really expensive to transfer, if you want to send to another country: usually you pay % from your amounts when using fiat, but in case of BTC you pay a fixed fee in most wallets and p2p exchanges.

I belong to number one, two and five though you may lack some categories to choose, the number 1 seems to be a case by case basis, remember blockchain is an open ledger everyone can check the transaction history in and out and if they've found out that you possess that address then get ready to reveal your wealth of lambo's well if you are bold enough to show off your address in a social media or other platforms of information together with your real name, so as long as possible stay low.

All of the above, but the most one I like is showing off my assets to my buddies and have them join me in engaging in bounties etc. I like it when they are jealous of me not having being an early adopter.

Well you know I think there is more reason to People using cryptocurrencies and..they can vary from person to person and you could add a few in them.

* Some even use it for earning through campaigns..
Because most online jobs don't pay as good as signature Campaigns

* Some use it for international transactions where they don't have to pay that much fee , trust me if you do heavy transactions then the fee varies from country to country and when you have to cross borders it's extremely difficult and a long process.

There are other things too that one might consider.

I will go for #1, #2, and #5. I think that being anonymous is really important in crypto, especially if you are investing a huge amount of money. It will secure your safety as an investor. Convenience is also the reason why I like crypto, I can easily cash out or send money to my friends or family without bothering going to the bank or remittance services.

Hi, it seems to me that people who participate in the cryptomir belong to all of your items little by little. Bitcoin is our future and I want my children to thank me for being interested in this topic at an early stage.

can I say, all this is me, lol, and I think all are connected, it is our nature that is unknowingly within us...although it looks like an EGO, this is a pride because we know and make money from something that people still rarely know.

Probably this. Since when I was a kid, I always loved cryptography, riddles, computers, etc... I've fell in love with bitcoin and the whole philosophy behind it. ;D Also, bitcoin's something that I've been preaching all around, cashless society. ;D  Tho, that whole anonymous thing has never been a huuuge part of my interest in bitcoin.

I think I used the incognito and convinience the most, bitcoin is super easy to used when I want to buy something abroad and most of the time I used the incognito for gambling, and I think most of the people using bitcoin as investment because the price can rise so fast

I am more of the person who uses Bitcoin as a mode of payment and as OP said it delightful whenever you use your accrued purchases instead of your own capital to make such purchases.

I think you should look at the 'trend' definition again, the only reason people follow this kind of trend is to make money, not because it's 'new or fashionable'. They see others making money and want in on the action. Personally I like to invest in long term visionary projects, ones that are looking to revolutionize their respective sectors. Some may crash and burn, but I admire their passion and creativity, not ignoring the fact that if one of them happens to hit the big time I'll be minted  ;D

Now Bitcoin is not so attractive for investments as a year ago, a maximum of 20% can be earned for one jump, it can last a month.
I'm not comfortable with anything other than the opportunity to get an income  ;D or loss.  :'(

Aside from it I also love the fact that I can do all those things aside from using it to illegal matters as I don't have plan to do those things as it is better to sleep in the evening thinking that you have not scam someone or that you did something wrong. But what I love most is that I can easily pay bills as well can maximize my money.

I disagree with the 4 ILLEGAL of your post OP because bitcoin transaction are not totally anonymous and I wonder if you ever ask yourself how Ross Ulbricht was proof as the one behind what he was accused of?

Attractive for who, empty headed noobs? Bitcoin's gains might not be as significant in the very short term, but long term speaking it's the most solid investment. Bitcoin is becoming larger and thus more difficult to move, which is something called progress. At some point in the future we'll see Bitcoin's market change so drastically, that 5% gains will be seen as significant. It's important to realize how different Bitcoin has become as a whole throughout the years. Every year more fresh capital needs to flow in this market to experience the same level of growth. In order to book more growth even more capital needs to flow in, and this is an endless cycle. A slow down in fresh capital means the market will likely take a step or two back.

The main reason I look to carry out crypto transactions is that these days I have far more value tied up in it than fiat and I can't be bothered to go through the hassle of converting it back to fiat, plus it's fun to spend free money.

Unfortunately the places you can spend it are contracting. Coinbase's change to merchant accounts seems to have turned a lot of merchants off.

It can be more convenient but not by a huge amount, just a bit less typing.

The reasons why I am adopting cryptocurrency is because of convenience way of financial transaction, the technology behind cryptocurrency is what also attracts me. It is the easiest mode of payment for goods and services.

I can't say I agree with you on most of the reasons you've pointed out.
First, crypto does not offer that amazing degree of anonymity most people talk about. There are private coins like monero and some others, but bitcoin, with it's complete transparent blockchain, is not one of them. Once an address is linked to you, anyone can track your payments. Also, most people use exchanges, and they now need to go trough KYC, so it's not that easy to be anonymous with crypto.

As for convenience, you have home banking and net banking already. You wouldn't need crypto for that.

I do agree with you on "trend" and "show off". Not that they are good reasons, but it's something we can't really deny, specially in some societies.

I completely disagree with the "illegal" motive. Again, this ties with crypto not being so anonymous. Not saying this doesn't happen, but it would never be one of the big reasons for use crypto. Use live cash for that. You don't really get anything more anonymous than "live cash".

Those who prefer crypto over fiat because of those arguments, are completely missing the point here. Crypto main attraction is that it's decentralized and it doesn't need a middleman for you to make and trust a transaction. That ends up in financial freedom, and that is why crypto is so important (in two words at least. because it's more complex that this of course).

If I had to choose one of your points it would be incognito and convenience. Those are the main reasons why I got interested in this.
I'd also ad being in control as a point. It was a very important factor for me as I don't trust my government and are afraid that their stupid policies may lead to bankruptcy and bailouts one day. I want to have something that they can't touch.

I'll go for number two and five, which is the CONVENIENCE and the MODE OF PAYMENT. We all want fast transactions, and you are correct with that since most of us people right now are so lazy that we want everything to be fast without us doing a lot of things. Another one is the mode of payment, imagine if you have bitcoin in your hand and you earned just by holding, you would be happy to use it as a payment whenever to purchase something. These things are one of the reasons why I prefer cryptocurrency rather than fiat (although I admit that we will still be needing fiat considering that not all the people is using crypto).

One thing that is missing in the OP is that, there is no mention of it belonging it to the asset class, no mention of it being volatile, it having a huge market. That is one of the reasons why I still use crypto. I guess the other reasons that you mentioned also play along. You can't just brief out crypto in just 7 points, there is so much stuff to mention about.

I just came here to fully understand the functions of a blockchain technology especially with bitcoin and of course to make a lot of money in the long run. So i’m more on trend in the first place but right now I fully support this kind of technology.

What I love above your list are incognito, mode of payment and convenience. These are the most users loves in bitcoin which brings comfortable. Thankful we have this kind of blockchain technology that until attracts more users.

These are my reasons personlly.
First, as a student, it is hard to find a way to earn while studying and the point that I am a student unqualifies me to have a part time job that does not really require too much requirement. The fact that it is hidden, I think that it is safe and accessible to everyone.
The convenience is associated with the techy part since technology makes it easier for students like me to be a part of something innovative and brings faster living for everyone.
Since it started years from now and still developing, I can tell that it will be trending until it is well accepted.

It's 2 and 5 for me though I want the number 1 but doesn't have tons of assets hiding on my wallets, it may change on the future when I hold a large portion of cryptocurrency for privacy and security anonymity is the best thing to have with cryptocurrency beside with the convenience and payments, you should add mode of earnings cause people tend to profit from trading or just holding some crypto assets.

honestly none of those reasons are my personal reason,  though all of them are valid and true, i have joined bitcoin for the purpose of earning and hoping to be my part time job. those reasons you stated are somewhat not to deep but as i said it is legit.

I'd have to say I'm 1,2 and 5. But it's not because I am lazy that I can't go somewhere to send my payment; its just that it would be more convenient for me to just use it as a mode of payment and send it because I would not have to go through the traffic and managing my time on what time I have to leave the house and be at home at that certain time.

I choose 1 and 5. In the modern world it is becoming increasingly difficult to remain incognito. Everyone wants to poke his nose into my income.

Techy that's what I am. I would pay with crypto in every place which would accept it. Unfortunately in my place there are no such places yet, but if it would appear I could save good enough on cashing out fees and other kinds of fees which I use to pay every time when I need to cash out some money.

The SHOW OFF reason is quite funny lol. Three of the reasons you stated here are why I’m making use of Bitcoin. The number one reason why I started making use of Bitcoin is because I needed a payment method for my job; well, not really me, my boss wanted to make use of it as a payment method, so I had no other option than to accept it also.

The next are the two reasons which are: TECHY & CONVENIENCE : yes Bitcoin is really a convenient way of making transactions, but that’s only for international transactions, if I’m doing anything locally in my country I make use of my bank app. Bitcoin is also techy and I do show off with it sometimes, lol… most of my friends know nothing about it😂

What I most agree with is its concealment. In every day of the world, many people and many businesses need to be concealed, which is the reason why bitcoin is growing by more people. In addition, I think bitcoin may also play a great role in the collaboration between different industries, and it can promote the efficiency of different industries.

I will choose 2. Like real trade at ease and get your money right in the comforts of your home. But what about those who do it for pure earnings like the bounty hunters?

I found myself at reason 1 and 6 by reason why using Bitcoin for. With Bitcoin as the new technology of currency for the new generation. I am proud to be involved in it, although only limited to users, because to accept the change of a technology of course people must accept first.

I am more of the trend and convenient type according reasons, however I have had pieces of all the others in mind except for illegal which is against my nature. Trend because, I like to try new staffs and convenient because I have always wanted to work with time freedom.

I believe that not many people will choose it for the fact that it can be helpful to conceal illegal actions. It's not that hard to track the payments on blockchain and there are already programs and methods that allow people to track each coin. Mixers are helpful, but it's enough to track a fraction of the total sum to eventually get to the source. That is if you are allowed to arrest and interrogate the person who ends up spending the money and make him spill the beans.
For me the most important factor is its growth potential.

The growth of the crypto currency may provide the intention of the investment bank Goldman Sachs to start trading futures for Bitcoin, as well as the plans of the New York Stock Exchange to create a platform to attract large investors.

I can't really put myself into any of those 7 types.... my objective is profit :)

I do not belong to any of the above mention. Maybe slightly to number three but it really does not fit my intention why I invested crypto currency.  I really wanted a lighter way of life, a decency.

I think you're missing one big one entirely: decentralization. Not having to go thru banks. Not having to be controlled by the whales. Bypassing a prehistoric financial system; and actually having more control over so many things that you haven't had control of in decades. I can't wait for insurance opportunities, for example. Decentralized health care? You mean we won't have to spend $1k a month to insure our families, just to get basic coverage in case of emergency? Personally, I'm looking forward to all of the new opportunities before us.

Is there a poll available or how do you know that most people use it because transfers are anonymous? Practically, especially if you pay services or goods with it, in most cases you are not anonymous, that is why I am wondering. I love to use crypto currencies because I am happy if I can transfer value without the involvement of banks and their fiat robbery system. :D

In my own,i think # 2 convinience. Why i will go outside to transact payments or whatever that i need if i can do it while staying at home,and transactions will be made it easy and quickly completed. I don't need to wait a long time while falling in line or waiting for your designated number to be called.

A little of each. I'm still waiting for it to be the things it should be, replacing electronic transactions without relying on third party.

Although some reasons you listed are quite weird haha but I got to admit the trend is the reason I noticed and started to use cryptocurrency. With no doubt, the trend in technology field tend to be the trend of the whole world, and you definitely don't wanna miss the trend.

I think i am the techy and convenience cause we are all know it is the fast or the cryptocurrencies is the fastest way to send your money from one to another user it is so techy we are following the technology cause technology makes our lives easier. Definitely, you are correct! The 7 reasons you've listed cause bitcoin to become popular. People use it because it is a trend and something techy as what you have said, if there are people who use it, for sure, other people will copy the habits of other. It is just like as bandwagon effect where people follows a trend.

And how exactly is that different or an advantage over fiat? I can pay all my bills with fiat in an instant as well, and that either through internet banking or other payment services.

Or you can have your bills be automatically deducted. It's safe to say that fiat related payment infrastructure has improved significantly in the last years, which might have been the result of crypto competition.

The only thing is that fiat payment infrastructure is still costly, especially when it comes to international payments. I wonder how long it will take for them to lower their fees in order to match crypto.

It might actually take a while since the banking system consumes a lot in power as well, and that bill somehow needs to be paid by the user.  ::)

My reason having cryptocurrency because i just want to earn extra money. I am not techy or having a computer skill or programing, I am just want to investing my money and earn profits. Beside that, I believe that cryptocurrency is the future for payment

There are actually some things that make sense in his list and some just does not sound more like it at all to me.

For illegality though, we all know some people are just bound to always thread that path all their life. I belong to 1&5, very safe for me plus people will not be able to trace what you have because it is done digitally and no need to go to the banks. Also very convenient for online shopping.

I'd like to say that I'm techy that's why i would rather use crypto currency than fiat. But alas i know I'm a show off. I usually scoff at people who doesn't know the existence of crypto currency much less how to transact with it.

Those people does'nt know about cryptocurrency because lack of education about it. Those reason's above could be really helpful to us users who believes. Once people adopts this technology they will loves to be involve in cryptocurrency as we can use anytime and we can earn.

Piece of advice please stop telling others that you are doing crypto works over public computer shop this will lead you to be a victim of hacking.trust me when i said youre too vulnerable from bad entities that might take advantage of this situations 

Spot on, I actually forgot to mention the fact that bitcoin is irreversible.

The buyer's protection that Paypal offer is honestly just extremely inconvenient for the sellers to deal with, as constantly, they are charged back and they are the ones that have to cop the losses. And most times, the people using the chargeback features are scammers that profess in the area for a living.

Bitcoin is irreversible, and in that sense, is closer to a digital form of money than Paypal or even traditional banking as no third parties are able to give a potentially biased or incorrect ruling to a dispute, because there are simply no disputes. And that's a good thing, in my opinion. It's not just about chargebacks either; if third parties hold your funds, and can rule over what is done with these funds, then is it even your money anymore?

I used it because of its convenience, for being trendy and for sometime as a mode of payment.

The number two is my choice , because  its make my life easier . I can send remittances using online and buy a load . And i use this to buy in online store like lazada or many online store that accepting this as a mode of payment. Depending on us where we want to use our bitcoin or crypto currencies.

I'll pick 1 only because I use many times a incognito for my hiding or anonymously transactions I made and no one can trace my identity I think its more secured for me because I'm not more like programmer that knows everything in digital.

I think trend is more about me but I think that others also suit me at a certain extent. In my opinion, it is obvious that most people who are into crypto would agree that all 7 reasons matter when taking a decision to do this

i'm more of a mode of payment guy. i want to do everything to pinch as much money as i could and even save more if possible. i buy more crypto currency then i wait it out and then sell it at a right price. i buy bitcoin and compute if i actually save more if i use fiat more than crypto currency (which ultimately is almost always true). besides that, it's kinda cool to pay for something other than money so yeah i could be more like a show off in that sense.

When it comes to crypto transactions, of course convenience is the common reason why people are adopting this kind of technology although there's still few merchants that is accepting cryptocurrency but I think in the long run, it can have a big factor. Also I want to stay in cryptoworld simply because I can make money without spending any fiat money.

Yes It is much better if we use more than one source of income for earning money, right in market things are getting really high so use bitcoin as an additional source of income, before bitcoin it was not very easy to earn good amount of money now we can earn double income,  same as you said my life has become very relaxed as I am not worry about my coming bad days anymore.

I thought there's something missing on your reasons, you forget those people who used it to earn and to store their money in the means of investing. But if I were to choose from the list I would go for 2 and 3, we cannot deny its convenience that we experienced using these things.

I prefer no. 2. And i think this is the reason of the majority. People are lazy enough that convinience is what they will find on a particular item or doing maybe because the technology made us that. I noticed you have missed one on the list because the reason why I invested or get into Bitcoin aside from that mode of payment is investment or way of having financial freedom. As an unfortunate individual I don't care about those being techy, showing off, illegal, trend and whatsoever that is not really that important in our way of living. It is enough to have convenience, privacy and financial freedom in this industry.

 I belong on this number two. I am no a person loves to go outside and make transaction, for me this is a water of time because you need to show up yourself in order to have a successful transaction. That is why when I discovered crypto currency I was so  overwhelmed because of the kind of service that it has. You don't need to go to bank and withdraw money for payment, you just you'd your crypto by either as payment or exchange it into fiat and then proceed transaction.

I realize that the 7 reasons you give me always see them every day. For the seventh reason I used to be a braggart with my investments, but now I realize my boast can kill me anytime. When you boast of wealth in any media or life, you are turning yourself into the target of kidnappers and extortionists.

Some of those kidnappers and other criminals are just checking the social media site and see if someone has revealed how much he has. Some people cannot just stop themselves showing off to others that may endanger their life. Instead of making others jealous as to how much he has, he will become a target to some hackers and a possibility of being attack physically to get his money. You should always be careful and not reveal how many coins you have even if its value is just small now because one day, when it becomes valuable, you will be trace back with just a search button.

We have seen so many people who have got such big earnings from bitcoins. They are living best of their lives right now. Since then, big number of people are continuously entering in bitcoins world. They all are getting convenience in their lives.

I believe I fall under 1 , 2, 4, 5 and 6, I want all my transactions to be anonymous and not be noticed by anyone except me and the person I am in transaction with, since this is not the case with fiat, since the government always want to tax you as well as the banks, they both want to get your money once you earn something, and then will not give you anyhting in return, since both are businesses, then it is also legal, since there nothing in any constitution that says that crypto currency is illegal, though some will point out that creating money is illegal, but if you take a look at it everything could be used as payment, not only paper notes. Lastly I chose #6, since therr is really a technical side from all of it, unlike fiat, people will take your money, if you want your money to increase in value, but in crypto, you will need to use your technology and understand how everything will work, especially the codes.

7.  SHOW OFF. whether we admit it or not, some people use cryptocurrency just to make their status up. Telling their friends about how wealthy they are and keep boasting for their ego.

Your list is pretty good but I think you missed out some of the very important points. Cryptocurrencies helps in eliminating fraud. Unlike the credit card charge-backs, cryptocurrencies are digital and thus cannot be arbitrarily reversed by the sender or counterfeited. Even unlike paypal it does not offers option of reversing transactions.  In addition to it, cryptocurrencies have faster settlement and lower fees as it eliminates the intermediaries from the transactions.

The reason why i want to have a cryptocurrency because it is convinience and the mode of payment.It very easy to earn and faster transaction.That is why when I discovered crypto currency I was so  overwhelmed because of the kind of service that it has. Well that is bad. Mostly in countries all over the world, bitcoins are banned and no one even knows about it. That is why bitcoins can’t reach that corners of the world. But in countries where there is some know how of bitcoins and you are scolding and scoffing people just because they don’t know about bitcoins, this is shameful. Not a long time ago I needed to buy some stuff in China at 4 am in the morning. The transaction was ready in a couple of minutes despite the timezone and all other borders and soon after I successfully got my order.
What I mean is that if I wanted to use some other payment method (like PayPal or Webmoney or even the credit card) they could easily delay my transaction and leave me in the dark for several days (you know that stuff when banks check your account for money laundering or whatever). So in some cases BTC is even more convenient than all other traditional money.

This is so true, a lot of my friend always show off their earnings from the bounties or trading profits. But I always say to them that, those earning still an estimation. The real value is when the earning have been converted to FIAT currencies.

I guess I am more on 2,5,6 kind a like, using bitcoin or cryptocurrency as mode of payment, to try something new and easy to use or convenient specially when we have so many things to do and we're running out of time...but these are all listing of something you're identified with but the rest it's still up to us.

Ever since I knew what was internet, I never for once opened any site that has to do. With black market or anything that is similar to that. So that one is already off the list for me. Bitcoin is quite a good way to show off indeed😂😂 whenever I mention Bitcoin to people they just look at me like I’m a genius or something lol. And they kinda get interested, though at last it still ends up with the “Bitcoin is scam and fake” lol. Definitely I'm into cognito because this is what I like about crypto currency as it can't be trace and this is what all we need. I am in the number 2 and 3. Bitcoin offers and it is giving convenient experience to its users and because of the trend it helps me to make money by just investing my money in bitcoin and holding it for long term. Bitcoin is a very great tool for the people to use as a mode of payment and also as an investment so i think it is best fit for me for the number 2 and 3.

Sad enough to find that none of these 7 reasons is my reason using cryptocurrency. Well i'm not really sure myself why i use cryptocurrency, not just flat. My reason for cryptocurrency transactions rather than fiat is on point 1 (incognito) for reasons of self-security, and then point 2 (convenience) because as you explain and I'm not a person who likes complicated things. My reasons are numbers 2 and 3. It is obviously true that in bitcoin, transactions are easier and faster, unlike in banks. We just need an internet connection to deal with the processes in bitcoin and other crypto currencies. Using it for trend, can also be seen easily. We try so many different things that are new and can give us satisfaction. Bitcoin is included in the innovations that is successful now and nowadays many people are using it.

I think that here you need to add 1 more point - independence from banks. Many people don't like banks because they climb into the financial activities of their customers, block accounts, cancel transfers. The absence of a controlling centralized authority is the main reason.

CONVENIENENCE, I prefer having transactions through cryptocurrency because of its convenience. I can pay bills even at home, I can buy prepaid load with ease. I will no longer need to wait for a long queue in line just to pay bills like electricity and water bills. I agree with that, and I think I am for convenience and mode of payment. Bitcoin is a very convenient platform for some student like me to earn less effort to be performed and I think this is convenient for me while I am studying and not credible for now to be on the certain field for me to work and mode of payment, in terms that I dont have to dhow everything that J have got in my life,  no doubts simple send and receive just lile that, unlile in the other entity personal information is required.

No doubt due to advancement in technology, transactions via some crypto currency has become much easier than it was in the past. Probably, he must have assumed that in the convenience aspect. I want cryptocurrency for a reason.First is INCOGNITO I want to do not trace my transaction when i encash money or send money.So that, Nobody will be jealous on what money I got.Secondly is CONVINIENCE , Why should i need to go in the bank if i can have transaction (sending money, etc) while im seating and relaxing in home.I think that is kind of wasting my time.Lastly is TECHY I considered crypto as a new technology of currency on the new generation someday.

I don't know which one I fall on, but I like using Bitcoin to buy from stores that accept them because it's one less step of converting it to fiat. And then the fact that coinbase has to track how much I put in and take out.

Having said that I haven't bought much with Bitcoins.

The other reaon why I invest to cryptocurrency because this is the opportunity that I earned enough money everyweek. There's a lot of use and.purpose of bitcoin. But that is most reason why Im here in cryptocurrency and still investing even the market fall. For sure most of us they want to earn more money so that's why they invested to bitcoin or to cryptocurrency.

Keep up the good work and don't forget to save money from your earnings here in cryptocurrency because it is best for you to have a savings or at least a wallet for your cryptocurrency savings so you can get some quick money when you need it and you will not selling your cryptocurrency unwillingly. That is the habit that i tried and it is very great.

I do not even understand the last point he made with respect to the show off. What is there to show off anyway since when you get bucked up, anyone around you will definitely know your status has changed and unless he is missing the point, it is more like you just trying to invest, so you could have invested and ended up making profit in other areas even outside cryptocurrency. Nevertheless, there are so many opportunities lurking in cryptocurrency and who would not want to tap from those opportunities?

That kind circumstances make you in higher risk , that's okay if you aware about all of it. Crypto investment won't be as secure as other legitimate investment due this "papers" requirements. People feel so scary use crypto as payment processor or an investment besides the high volatility, also there no one take a responsibility but yourself. I don't give a f#@k bout that , I use it as a currency... Because I know what I'm doing.

The rise of cryptocurrency is evident nowadays. Given those seven reasons on having cryptocurrency, I might fall on Convenience, trend, and techy. First is the convenience that was offered by cryptocurrency, the way it offers an easier way of having currency contributes to it. Next is the trend, not just to be bandwagon but because I see the capabilities of this innovation. Last is the techy, where I was always obsessed with new technology making me awared of this cryptocurrency and wanting to have it.

Buying using bitcoin is the last thing on my list. The reason why I chose cryptocurrencies transaction is because I can earn through it while even lying in my bed and I will not to spend it just like a fiat. It will be a waste of bitcoin. If I can hold it for long period of time it will surely become much bigger.

Actually, I think my answer is both 1 and 2.  It saves my time and it is very efficient than dealing with other fiat currencies. just my idea .. but you are correct coz people are using crypto due to so many reasons including this 7 , but there are many more 

My answer is 2 and 5. definitely Bitcoin is convenient. not because I'm lazy but you can do it at home. I don't have to spend too much time in Bitcoin. It's also the source to pay my bills. I know that through Bitcoin, I can a lot of money where I can Pay all my debts and Bills.

Well I think that was Convenience,  not because people are getting lazier when time goes buy, because paying outside is a very dangerous thing nowadays, it bring us closer to vulnerability like robbery and even threat to our lives, I guess the existence of this forum is fairly awesome to for those who think expose way of making transactions is a bit dangerous for them and now we see it as an opportunity to excel here.
