Hello everyone. I opened a thread couple of months back where I talked about organizing a player-vs-player tournament here in this forum (Previous Discussion Thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2329495.0)). The bitcointalk community had mixed reactions about it, mostly positive, and I have decided to go through with the idea.

Initially, I had two types of game in my mind which can be played one-on-one but I could not choose because there are complications in organizing one of the two. So now I have planned it all out how to do it. The game which I chose is Clash Royale. As we all know it is one of the most-played tournaments in the world, with 100 million downloads in Android alone and I am 100% sure that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of Clash Royale fans in this forum. So why not play a little game and have fun and blow off the steam with a chance to win BTC in the process?

Apart from all of this, as this idea is new and also because of the community's acceptance, I have decided to host one or two tournaments with the prize pool given from my own pocket. Another reason for organizing a free tournament is because the players need to understand the rules and regulations and also get accustomed to the way the tournament will take place.

All you have to do is register and play for Bitcoin. But after that, there will be an entry fee to participate in the tournament.

8 Player
Double Elimination Tournament

A double-elimination tournament is a type of elimination tournament competition where you are not knocked out from the competition when you lose in the first round.
You will get a second chance to fight back and win the competition.

To learn more, see the tournament bracket.

https://i.imgur.com/DOivLma.png

There is no requirement to join the tournament.
However, if you have a higher king level account then you will get most of yours cards unlocked and to choose from and play with.

No matter what king level you have, the battle will be almost in the same level

CARDS ARE LEVELED UP TO:
King Level: 9
Common Level: 9
Rare Level: 7
Epic Level: 4
Legendary Level: 1
Overtime length: 3 min

Rest will be instructed in Clan Chat.

https://i.imgur.com/dGKmRKN.png

If you apply to this tournament then you automatically agreed to the following rules.

You must be 18 years and above

Make sure the tournament is legal under applicable local laws and regulations

You must know how Clash Royale works and how to play

Total participants will be 8 and participants need to join a clan in order to participate in 1vs1 battle and progress according to the bracket

Participants will receive CLAN detail by pm after all the participants have been applied through this thread and accepted.

Your opponent selection will be random by the tournament bracket generator and you agree with it.

Participants must honor the host in the clan and follow the instructions

There is a chance of a draw in a 1vs1 battle and draw will not be counted. If a draw occurs, participants need to battle with the same opponent again until the tournament get a winner

If anyone misses to join the battle then his/her opponent will be declared as winner and will progress to the next round

If any of the two players lost internet connection during the battle or by any mean haven't played, or responded then the opponent will be declared as the winner

There will be no refund if any participant misses the battle. It will be considered by his/her own discretion. Make sure you follow the time and join the battle on your own responsibility

Prizes will be sent out within 24 hours (max) after the tournament ends

Participants must make sure that their BTC receiving address is correct before I release the prizes. I will not be reliable if participants provide the wrong address

I have the right to change, modify the rules if and when needed

I'm organizing Clash Royale Tournament #1 completely free for participants to join as marketing purpose, community's acceptance, and also participants need to understand the rules and regulations and also get accustomed to the way the tournament will take place. Read Op carefully you will understand.

Join the Discussion thread to know everything.

After 1 or 2 free tournaments, there will be an entry fee. Such as 0.002 btc.

Wait, are we doing BO3 matches or single games? Sorry if you mentioned it in your post, I must have mentioned it. BO3 does make the tournament take more time, but I think it would be better as sometimes you get hard countered.

Look at the bracket now https://challonge.com/5cxyb0eb

This will be the final bracket after everyone joins.

I'm not sure what BO3 match is, but while creating the bracket I have chosen double elimination.

edit: total 14 matches

Best of 3. Single games work too, especially since it's free, but if you run one with larger stakes, playing best of 3 might be slightly better.

I would be fine with this. There's not really a conflict of interest, as all matches are shared automatically in clan chat. Just clarify on how long someone has to play their match before they are deemed disqualified. The only way I could see yourself gain an advantage (and not even really an advantage) is by giving yourself favorable matchups against the less experienced players, but even then, it wouldn't help much.

Have you checked the bracket link? That was the result after I used the below settings.

The matchmaking system can be completely random. Challonge has a seed shuffling system which will randomly make the matches against one another in the first round.
after first round gameplay, it all depends on players winning and losing results. As we don't know who will win and lose.

I can also manually make the matches.
For example, we got two applicants with 1 and 2 king level... I can make the match between them.
We got two applicants with king level 6 - a match can be made between them.

Every level is allowed because clash royale says CARDS ARE LEVELED UP.
So whatever cards you have, it all be leveled up when you are in a battle with the higher level player.

As far as timing goes, just specific the exact start time and estimated length. If you get all 8 on at once, would be about 45 minutes, tops
