Any reason you can think of why I shouldn't use the professional version?

The only disadvantage with the professional version is that it needs mono or .NET framework installed. If you don't have the prerequisites, looks at the differences and decide if it's worth installing them.

Another recommendation for Keepass. You can also use Lastpass, for tighter web integration and form fill options.

I recently switched from using a purely hash based method (SuperGenPass) to a full password manager (LastPass). So far, it's been nice, though I do have some issues keeping all of my passwords stored in one location.

I've been looking at it, and I'm thinking about doing the key file, with the keyfile kept in my phone. That way, I need more than just something I know to access my passwords.

maybe the built in attachment viewer/manager and grouped search results
/me uses only the basic version. did not know that there is even a pro version
i was happy with moving my password db between mac and windows
(and phone if needed) and started adding attachments only recently (what i do more often now)

basic is good enough imo (and exists as portable app as well, can have it all the time with me on a usb stick)
not sure if the pro version is portable as well

ptmhd, both are available as portable. That's important to me, as I bounce between 4 main computers throughout the day.

I'm using a combination of LastPass for the Web and KeepassX. KeepassX is easy to distribute with Dropbox, so I have the same keyfile on my desktop, my notebook and my phone (android KeePassDroid application, http://www.appbrain.com/app/keepassdroid/com.android.keepass)
