Title: Do you wish to have physical notes, coins for bitcoin?
Post by: Greenkarki on May 17, 2018, 06:30:33 PM
How it would be when we have a physical bitcoin currency note? Do they already exist? If created, will it impact the market growth and loose it's value in the market?  Any thoughts?

I don't think that is visible. Bitcoin and its tools or compartments/properties are better efficient as cryptocurrency, made in digital. What you are talking about would not be made real. If it comes like fiat, that means its glory would disappear. For instance, there won't be pair to pair, anonymous transactions, banks would come in, regulations would follow too etc.

Nope not existed mate. You may find the paper wallet and hardware wallet see the physically. Apart from that there is no physically used bitcoin in the market so far. Yesterday in one of news channel I have found that bitcoin does not need internet anymore to send and receive.
Company caleed GoTenna they are developing the wallet which can allow to you make the transaction via Mash node and its network.
Nothing else improvement has been so far on crypto currencies mate.

You can buy a physical form of Bitcoin on eBay, but it is kinda bitcoin and you can't pay with that, it's more just like a souvenir and nothing more. I do not understand why do you even need to have a paper note or a coin of Bitcoin? It is perfect as it is, digital. The society moved to cashless exchanges long time ago and it is not in a trend to move back to physical money.

The closest to this you will find Is the coins that have private keys imprinted on them. They have been around for a while, I don't really k ow anything about them but I see them in the collectibles section.

Other than that you won't see it like cash today, how would the transactions be verified? How could you be sure the person is handing you a "loaded" amount of paper money?

The coin from eBay that you are talking about is definitely a souvenir, but I heard that there are coins or maybe even notes of bitcoin which really worth something serious. You need to search on Google for more detailed information about it ;)

If bitcoin have a Physical currency note I think it will be just a normal note without value because basically you can just print out and the supply may never stop. I'm already contented about this digital curreny and I hope bitcoin will not become worthless in the future.

Making physical notes or coins could be crossing lines of legality. Years ago, a man named Bernard von NotHaus out of hawaii made his own coins out of pure silver and wound up in legal trouble. Its a cool story, NotHaus is similar to Satoshi Nakamoto in many ways. He made his own coins out of silver to create his own money which were backed by the precious metals they were made from(see: intrinsic value).

The government threw baseless accusations at him claiming he was a terrorist.

https://lfb.org/the-domestic-terrorist-you-can-call-a-hero/
https://www.forbes.com/sites/georgeleef/2014/12/09/protecting-us-from-a-terrorist-who-made-pure-silver-coins-the-bernard-von-nothaus-case/

I think NotHaus is still walking free. He wasn't charged. Not 100% certain what the final verdict was and there doesn't appear to be news stories covering it.

Still, even if he wasn't charged, issuing a type of coin or printed money could be cause for legal issues.

It would be quite hassle to make transactions with these notes yet you would always check out if theres a balance on that specified address together on where those privatekeys being listed on the note. Its too much hassle in my part where i cant think off that this will be adopted.I would always prefer to stick into traditional ways yet bitcoin is a digital currency after all and having a physical form isnt really necessary and as being said above these things are just good for collectibles.

What you mean? physical bitcoin which is backed up by the government or just the community alone?

Do they already exist?
The closest thing that I can even think of are the casascius and paper wallets.

Check most of them @ Collectibles. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0)

If created, will it impact the market growth and loose it's value in the market?  Any thoughts?
I doubt it will lose it's value in the market as it's market cap it good so it's impossible.

There is no physical form for bitcoin so it never can have a physical currency notes, but why we even need physical formed currency even now in the fiat money system we hardly need physical money to pay because we can use debit and credit cards which is also in digital form so I don't find any valid reason that bitcoin should be in physical form.
So it is impossible to create then the remaining section will become void to discuss. :)

If this thing happen the supply for bitcion will be high and the value may decreased so basically this will not happen. This is a digital currency, we don't need paper money here and for sure government will not let this thing to happen so let's just deal with a digital currency.

I dont think bitcoin is suited in physical form, it is better anonymous and much more efficient as a crypto currency and much more easy to use than fiat because it's faster, secured and only take minutes to receive. Especially if your goin on a travel you wont be restricted on how much amount you bring cause you can store it in your btc and convert into fiat when you arrive to that country.

I feel like that could make some forms of centralization pop up. If you have all these currency notes, who's making them? Someone's gotta manufacture and make those notes and coins. Also, I think the strong benefits of using bitcoin come from the fact that you have a lot of flexibility and precision in how much money you want to send to someone. If we make some kind of notes for BTC, you lose out on that pretty nice benefit. Genuinely, we as a society are likely going to be moving away from currencies that are physical and move towards the electronics based ones. They're just a lot more fitting when it comes to the future and potential uses for crypto.

Owning such a kind of currency would be interesting, something like "A currency with digital/real value."
The value of this coin is 2 Bitcoin, This coin consists of gold with a value of one Bitcoin, The front face of the currency is a pattern that takes the shape of "2BTC", and the back face is a private key covered by the public key inscription.
This currency will derive its value from gold and bitcoin together

will it impact the market growth and loose it's value in the market?  Any thoughts?
It will not affect but it is a good idea.

You are right. I tell how it is. Actually we are taking bitcoin as a update of traditional form of money. So it need to better in digital form instead of being fiat cash. Fiat are very much limited to use and it has a control on various country corporate giant mate.

To save your fiat cash you need to fear that whether it is stolen by someone but bitcoin will be safer unless you share your private key someone else mate.

Yes, they exist. I have never had one but as I understand it, they can have like a peel off sticker with the BTC private address and maybe a QR code. You see the problem with this approach. It's an added security risk for obvious reasons. I think coins will disappear. Too much resources in metal etc. Instead, we will have advanced web wallets, almost surely on our phones. As we do now with enhanced payment features. It will have to be as fast as a handshake, yet secure.

This will never happen as bitcoin is connected and run by blockchain.
though there are some physical bitcoin (limited) that has some wallet address on it with some bitcoin value but still
you need to have it online.

Physical items that contain bitcoin private keys do exist.
From coins to bills, to even stones, anything that can store a string of letters would be able to hold bitcoins.
The real problem with it that it doesn't provide solution to anything beside being a very nice gimmick, you can't really transfer bitcoins to someone offline with those bills, as you will need to trust the bills/coins issuer that the bills/coins do really contain bitcoins and have never been opened.

Trust is indeed the main issue in that case, but it offers a great alternative in my opinion. I ordered a dozen of non funded Denarium physical coins lately that I might load at some point just in case. Initially my purpose is to hold them as collectible, but it might turn out to become helpful later on as well if someone is willing to trust me enough to accept it as payment.

Technically it's impossible to have a perfect emergency//no internet payment solution, especially when fiat no longer holds value due to the imploding financial system. Gold and some other metals are the only things left, but how will you turn your 100 gram Gold bar into $3 worth to buy a loaf of bread or whatever? I am fairly sure that eventually something will pop up taking care of the trust issue of exchanging private keys in a way that tops everything we have right now.

We can say that the physical form of bitcoin already exists. The Singapore firm Tangem issued banknotes of 0.01 and 0.05 bitcoins. Apparently, this firm issued banknotes in the amount of bitcoins that they had. How to walk such coins, while it is difficult to say. However, this case is quite interesting. It's actually the same bitcoin, only in a banknote. I think this does not affect the cost of the bitcoin. In the future, other combinations of crypto currency and ordinary money, bonds, etc. will appear.

Well I never have heard about it but if it is true I think it is new development for the bitcoin, price of bitcoin hopefully will not get effected, but if you really want to know then for me it is not get to get bitcoin in physical state as today bitcoin is safer than the fiat money only because it is in digital form and no one can steal or snatch it so for me bitcoin is good as it is right now.

I feel like op is talking about a much more widely used and accepted form of tender, like how there are US Dollars that are used by everyone in the United states. In particular, he's talking about how cryptocurrency can be used as the currency that spreads beyond just a single country if everyone across the world accepts it. It seems like a really far goal point as of now, but it could happen. Singapore making those banknotes is a step in the right direction, but I don't think it's easy to spend those notes right now. I highly doubt many places in Singapore would accept that as legal tender.

That's basically the concept and it is indeed possible. Although, what's the point? The reason why we would use cryptocurrency is basically because it is already a digital currency which strays away from the conventional fiat which is a physical representation of value. Cryptocurrencies tries to change the status quo from conventional physical money to a digital money which is much more secure and convenient to use.

There are certain things which are not possible and that having some physical form of any of the crypto currency is one of those things as there is no way that you can represent any of the digital currency in the form of paper money or nay other thing like that. All these coins are only the virtual currencies and that they don’t have any kind of physical existence. You cannot expect any such thing to happen.

Absolutely the only logic I ever wondered why these guys never used. Having collectibles like the Casascius is one thing, but having currency notes bring back down a digital tool to a cumbersome one?

Not to mention bringing us back to yet another forced trusting of yet another centralised entity, and a commercial one at that. And removing the ability to verify validity independently. Now a day bitcoin is at demand and it is rising more and more with the passage of time, today it is very important to have bitcoin because now use of fiat or paper money is almost equal to zero, people prefer to use bitcoin as an payment as it is safe and easy to carry so with increasing demand of crypto payment market started to switch bitcoin now, so same as thousands of people I choose bitcoin only no paper money or fiat currency.

The fiat is already in the physical and notes form so why will we want to have bitcoin also in the physical form while the time now is for the digital use. The future will be a time when every business and every person will do their dealing in digital form the companies will like to have a form of digital for their businesses and for that era there will be a great need of digital form of money and that role will be played by bitcoin. At that time it will be useless to carry a physical form of money. For me it is more convenient to have a digital form of money.

Its fine as it is, theres no need to create such a thing. Bitcoin is a unique currency that operates in a virtual platform.. anonymous transactions and other features are what keeps bitcoin pumping. Its demand continuously rises because of this very reason. If it does end up in a tangible state like fiat then it would end up being controlled by the government.

That is a souvenir like you have said and no one will even collect that as an exchange for payment in the first place. Bitcoin is a digital currency and the last time I checked, the printing of physical cash brought about the idea of monopoly and high level of manipulation which brought about the satoshi idea of having a decentralized currency that is P2P and no middle man which I believe is what the idea of having physical note for bitcoin will bring and what is the point as we are all done with fiat.

I believe you are missing the point here. The existence and printing of physical notes got us to where we are today with the highly controlled and manipulated system, which is the reason the idea of having a decentralized digital currency came into play with a proof of work system to mine the currencies digitally and you still want to take us back to the traditional age? Come on bro! I guess you still have so much to read about blockchain technology.

Nope i think bitcoin is fine the way it is, that's the whole point of being a virtual currency so we can transact money digitally and not physically. And i think it's more convenient this way cause some countries has some limit on how much amount you can carry from your country to another country, and physical currency is hard to transfer especially if it's a lot.

Digital transaction also came in fiat cash medium through online mate. If any one want to invest your money for the future dependencies means we should go with the bitcoin and other alts only because if we see the currency revolution in upcoming years that will be goes to bitcoin usage only.

It is even arrant nonsense to be considering that when we are trying to run away from cash in the first place. The question is who or which country is going to be printing the physical notes and how is that not going to end up centralized. There are simply some questions that are basically stupid and I understand that it is the level of ignorance that some people have about the space that can warrant such anyway.

Well, except for that and since the amount there is not going to be fixed anyway, it is more like just having a cold storage like a paper wallet where you can simply store your digital currency.

In the context that the OP has brought, it is just simply absurd for him to have even asked such questions, and maybe he should go find the bitcoin whitepaper to understand the idea of satoshi about bitcoin and blockchain technology. It is more like while trying to move forward, he is simply trying to ask us to go backward.

No one want to say as we know bitcoin is the digital currency which is best for digital currency payment for online shopping, people use to buy thing but they pay online, bitcoin is better technology than physical coin so if we will get physical coin for bitcoin then there will be no difference between bitcoin and other fiat coins, so better if we let it be as digital as it is.

I don't think it will be possible because we all know that it is CRYPTO currency which means it is in the technology and internet thing not like physical thing there are many way to promote cryptocurrency and i don't really like that statement for it.
But it can never be because it is digital so we can't make it into physical and why we need physical structure for an digital thing. This is like a silly question asked from OP.

I do not like this idea at all. All cryptocurrencies have to be on the blockchain and the cyber network. Being physical can easily harm the mainnet alot. Therefore, I just want to use cryptocurrency in a digital way. There is no need in creating physical notes or coins

I have not ever seen physical notes of bitcoin but I think your idea is excellent and it need to discuss it widely. Bitcoin is money and it would be very conveniently to use also physical notes like cash, physical notes of shares or bonds, if so, payments with bitcoin will not depend on internet anymore. I am sure that this approach will add popularity to bitcoin among the eldest who does not use internet.

I  like  both physical notes and bitcoin both.  Some countries don't accept bitcoin because their government and banking don't control bitcoin as their capital markets, so those countries physical notes is appropriate but which countries bitcoin is legal then Bitcoin is appropriate.

Well, except for that and since the amount there is not going to be fixed anyway, it is more like just having a cold storage like a paper wallet where you can simply store your digital currency.

In the context that the OP has brought, it is just simply absurd for him to have even asked such questions, and maybe he should go find the bitcoin whitepaper to understand the idea of satoshi about bitcoin and blockchain technology. It is more like while trying to move forward, he is simply trying to ask us to go backward.
Your project is good too. Hope it has the potential in the future.
Will help the community as well as investors.
Good luck.

Bitcoin is better suited for digital use cause it's way faster and efficient than fiat currency or credit cards. Where if crypto currency where to be made physical it would be risk to be damage and can be easily stolen, burn, wet or be torn into pieces. And the features of bitcoin will be compromise like it's anonymity.

Bitcoin isn't rivalling paper currencies. It's rather improving on it

Bitcoin is a digital currency made to be used online and it is better left that way. Making a physical copy of it will make it lose its aim. Remember this is decentralization and printing it will be what exactly. That's making it centralized, and who will control it's printing. There are some things that should not even be given a second thought. Many people don't know the aim bitcoin is playing and why it was created in the first place. I advice you go back and do your research proper before asking questions.

It is not possible to have BTC in physical currency. The only charm of bitcoin is the blockchain or digital currency. Let's suppose if someone is going to have it physically then how to spend it ? We have to take care of the platform on which BTC is built. It's value fluctuates every moment, but physical currencies have their fixed value. I think it will create many problems.

Nope i assume bitcoin is pleasant the manner it's far, this is the entire factor of being a virtual foreign money so we will transact cash digitally and not bodily. and that i suppose it is more convenient this way cause some countries has some limit on how a whole lot amount you can carry out of your u . s . to some other u . s . a ., and bodily currency is tough to switch particularly if it is lots.

That would be highly superfluous. Crypto currency is changing the way we view money, not imitating it.
All the crypto currencies which there are virtual currencies and that they don’t have any kind of physical existence and that even the ones who own these crypto coins cannot see or touch them. I don’t think so that anything like that of physical notes will ever happen and that these crypto currencies will remain the way they are for now and that they will keep on helping the investors in making huge money.

I do feel your optimism but these thing wont really happen since its not the way on why satoshi do create bitcoin for that purpose. All would be on digital because if it do comes to a point where it would be on physical then i dont see its difference into a common local fiat.
This is the most important point that has been brought up in this thread. Who would make paper notes or metal coins for BTC? How would you avoid counterfeits? Why would you even actually want paper currency? Everything is going electronic anyway. I can't remember the last time I used cash. I just use Google Pay on my phone to pay for everything. If that's the case with fiat, then it most definitely must be the case with crypto. Making some transactions with paper BTC would completely defeat the purpose of the blockchain.

For a Crypto lover like me, I will definitely want to spend Physical Bitcoin currency. I will like to do with Physical Bitcoin Currency all I could do with Physical FIAT currencies. These fantancies being drawn up, some facts should be made know too. Physical bitcoins that can be exchanged like cash have been discussed for years. Physical bitcoins have been often implemented, but there are several challenges. Many physical bitcoin operators active a few years ago have either disappeared or don’t show signs of recent activity. Others are just novelty collectibles that don’t store actual bitcoins. But there are still some interesting options both on the horizon and on the market in the physical bitcoin space.

Physical bitcoins are a real killer app for many reasons, first and foremost because they can be exchanged privately and anonymously without leaving any trace whatsoever, just like cash. Of course, this is exactly the reason regulators hate the idea and will do anything to stop physical bitcoins from spreading. Also, designing physical bitcoins with both high security and high usability is difficult.

In an ideal world, simple paper wallets could be used as physical bitcoins. In fact, anyone can make a paper wallet, load it with any amount of BTC, print it out and give it to anyone. The recipient can easily check the balance before accepting the paper wallet and folding it in their physical wallet for further use, just like cash.

It is better to maintain bitcoin in its digital form than to try to make it physical, besides there is not really any need for that right now, if at some point bitcoin is used by billions of people and we want to make trade easier for those that do not have a computer available all the time, it might make sense but for the time being those that adopt bitcoin are people that have access to computers and smartphones so there is not any need to take that step.

Honestly, physical notes for bitcoins is new to me. So I search about it and this is what I saw " Physical bitcoins — yes, they do exist — are not just great collector's items, they also let you store your digital currency on them. Or to be more precise, most of them do. Different types of physical bitcoins exist, just as currencies have coins of different monetary values."

Well, I think it's possible but how can I divide it on some service that I want to use to be? For me, I see as a trophy or something than making virtual currency to be more complicated.

No, I never ever wish something like that. How silly to think that a virtual and intangible asset like bitcoin will also have its own paper money or coin ;D. Now, if it happens (though it's impossible), what would be its great difference compare to fiat money? Nothing anymore of course. Btc's or any crypto's uniqueness by means of being virtual yet still have a value makes them special, and I think it would be better if it will remains :).

Anyway, there are still existing tangible coins such as btc, eth, ltc or even doge also but it has no value and only intended to made for memorabilias.

As of today, there is no physical representation of bitcoin in the economy. Money that is circulating in the economy is back up with value with the central bank of the nation. Any money circulating should have approval with the goverment to use within the community. Any form of money that is not supported is considered useless. So I think its not yet happen to have physical representation of cryptocurrency.

Really? Notes and coins? Then what is the point of the whole "digital currency" thing. One thing is sure; they don't exist at the moment. And I don't really envisage their existence. Because we primarily don't need them. If there are notes and coins, then just like Fiat, there needs to be a central minting unit of some kind. This will ultimately defeat the essence of decentralization. That's my own perspective though.

The most popular reason why bitcoin is in demand is because of how flexible a virtual currency to get around the world.  Well, if you do a physical or tangible thing of bitcoin, that will be same as local money on your pocket for sure. Also, bitcoin price is not so stable value like your tangible money on your pocket so think about it man. Just adding some thoughts on this thread.

Just because of having bitcoin in physical format, we cannot assume that bitcoin must have only a constant or stable value. We can use physical bitcoins in the same way in real life how we are using right now online. Bitcoin's volatile nature of value is not a barrier to have a physical form to it. Gold is being used in physical form but its price is also daily fluctuating then why not take bitcoins into physical form. Everything will be possible in crypto-world then wny not just the physical form ;D.

No. It will not. Already physical coins are available everywhere. But when you are using physical bitcoins, you need to refer its value online or from somewhere else where the most recent prices are available to get the exact value of it. Other than this, there will not be any other inconveniences are possible especially having bitcoins similar to fiats.

For "physical notes" of Bitcoins you need a centralized service, that garants the worth of the "Bitcoin note" and that it wont be used after selling by the seller.  There are two possibilities of creating Bitcoin notes. The first one is handing out the whole wallets for a certain amount with the private key. The second is a kinde of gift card or coin and a service, that hands out the Bitcoin and transfers the amount to your wallet. But you need a third party for it.

Necessary or not I don`t think it will happen, bitcoin is good as it is in digital world. I don`t need paper notes, or anything else, we have wallets on our computers and our phones that`s enough, why would I need to have one more wallet for those paper bills, I believe we are going in other direction, paper money will disappear soon, so why would Bitcoin make a step back? If you are looking for alternative you can make a paper wallet with some amount on it, but in both cases you need online to check the status of those bitcoins and to send them, if you just give paper to someone what that means? When he try to access it online and he see one big zero what will that person do? Paper is easy to forge, there will be much more scams. Leave it as it is, it`s already great.

I don't have such need, for Bitcoin to have banknotes. Bitcoin is digital currency and exists only in virtual form. That also differs it from traditional fiat currencies.
I don't see any reason why we would spoil that.
Besides, even traditional money is less and less used in physical form, credit cards are having dominant role.

Obviously he is not bringing up the idea of a paper wallet but rather bringing up having bitcoin as a paper currency which is absurd because that was the reason a lot of us are investing in this space in the first place as paper currency has brought even more harm than good with the way the government and banks have manipulated and monopolized the fiat space.

Moreover, if we should start talking about paper currency for bitcoin, which country will be printing? Decentralized digital currency is what it is and there is no point trying to go archaic like the OP.

I don't want a physical structure for a digital product and it also impossible in the bitcoin's case, since it is mined and stored on the blockchain technology we are never going to make them in any physical form other than creating the paper wallets and store them in a safe lock.
Dude do you even know what you are saying? First you said that paper currency has done more harms than good and yet you’re still talking about making cryptocurrencies to be in paper form, so you don’t think they will also do same harms? Lol… Try to reason your comment before posting.

Money is money, and they are always the root of all evil… though it depends on who it is, but you don’t let money control you. And I also want to add that I love Bitcoin the way it is and I don’t need any form physical note or whatever you guys are saying which I’m very sure is never going to happen.

How it would be when we have a physical bitcoin currency note? Do they already exist? If created, will it impact the market growth and loose it's value in the market?  Any thoughts?
That doesn’t make any sense to me, and there is no way it’s going to happen. The only thing that can be used both digitally and physically is conventional currency; dollar, euro, sterling, yen etc. These ones are controlled by banks and how they work is totally different from Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies works.

By the way, if you are using physical for Bitcoin who exactly is going to mine it, or should I say who is going to confirm the transactions you make? So just forget about it, it’s never going to happen.

If Bitcoin has real things, how should it flow and calculate? I am very curious about this! And I think that only with the support of the government, Bitcoin can appear in kind!

it seems that it's not really needed because this bitcoin has been recorded all your transactions are on the blockchain so that you can better use the existing facilities.
Absolutely not needed! And for someone to even be thinking about it, I wonder if they even had an idea what the essence of blockchain technology is all about. Physical notes have played a huge negative part in the world economy since it is controlled and centralized.

Bitcoin is a decentralized space, which is why minting new coins require a lot of energy and effort, and that decentralization is one of the great values it brings which physical notes can never offer.

could it possible?  only governments accepted currency have physical notes fiat paper money. but bitcoin is globally online currency and only few countries accepted bitcoin. so physical currency or metal coin is not possible.
That’s right, just having governments’ acceptance so that physical notes or coin for bitcoin can appear in the market like the way of fiat. However, I also agree that we are not necessary to care about whether bitcoin may become physical notes or coin, because as we all know that bitcoin fundamentally characterizes its virtual or digital currency, we mostly exploit the benefits from its anonymous and the likes. Anyways, just let what bitcoin be - a digital currency with big usage.

I have not seen Bitcoin's physical notes yet, but I think it should be discussed extensively. Bitcoin will be very convenient to use as well as physical notes such as cash, most importantly because they can be exchanged privately and anonymously without leaving any traces, like cash.

bitcoin is not anonymous anymore if they will port it to a physical form . not only that , bitcoin will now also be charged with tax because  it is now controlled by bank or a government . so do you think it will be a good idea for us to be traced and charged by tax ? no right ? then suggesting this idea is not actually a good idea but rather it is the worst idea ever imagined .

why cant we just think of other suggestion aside from this one ?

I wouldn't want bitcoin to become a physical coin or a paper currency. I'm attracted to the cryptocurrency precisely because it's digital money and there is no need to carry it with you, keep it or count it. For me it's very convenient as for the majority. But I read about one case that scammers have managed to sell 2 coins with a bitcoin image to a trusting buyer. It's understandable that this person didn't know at all what bitcoin really is but so simply gave his money. So there are even such stories.

I like the idea of exchanging bitcoin without making any trace, but I think if this thing happen who will be the one to print bitcoin? And maybe this market will become more centralized. So I think this is not a good idea and bitcoin is actually a digital currency used to transact online therefore it cannot be seen in real paper money.

i would not like to have physical notes because then bitcoin would just be like any other currency currently in the world. bitcoin not actually having a physical currency is what made it so popular in the first place. it the new thing about it that got all the attention and hype about it in the first place. having it only digital reduces lengthy transfer cost or exchange fees , everything is done electronically. this is the main thing that makes bitcoin so attractive.

We already have bitcoin in paper and metal form but they are for collectors
and are not mass produced. The general consensus here is that it is not viable
to have notes and coins for everyday transactions of bitcoin

Visit the collectables section of the forum to see the coins > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0
and visit polymerbit for the notes > https://www.polymerbit.com/all-products

Cryptocurrency promotes cashless society and physical representation of it would make the contrary. If that would happen, crypto would have no difference with the fiat currency we have now. Also, it will not happen because crypto is a series of datas who changes its value from time to time and should be stayed inside the internet. The system itself is intangible.

There is absolutely no need for real currency notes or coins.

Also to get physical stuff we will require the government permission to accept it and make it legalize in their country. All depends upon the government of that country how they want to treat it and want to scale it to the next level than they can make this notes and ask people to use it.

I think that is very unnecessary because all the transactions that exist and those using blockchain technology all have been recorded and you can see the history of all transactions that have been created.

I won't support a bitcoin physical note because it is against the decentralization policy of cryptocurrency. Banks would monopolize it and make us return to the central banking system which cryptocurrency is against. Having a bitcoin mobile storage wallet is good but a physical note is a big ''NO'' from me.

Why do we need physical bitcoin??? Cryptocurrencies are created to get away from cash and coins. Even regular Fiat currency is increasingly moving to card.I am sure that in 10-20 years people will begin to implant chips with all the necessary information - documents, electronic keys to the apartment, car and garage, cash card(including cryptocurrency). The first experiments are already underway.Remember that 15 years ago we could not take pictures on the phone, and now phones with photography successfully displace the segment of cameras.

This is a debate to this day where bitcoin does not have a physical form and the reason is very clear where crypto is a digital asset without the need to have a physical form. the formation of the value of bitcoin and crypto as a whole is due to trade in the market, additional investment and also positive and negative issues

It is way better for bitcoin to remain in its current form, I say this because even if there are disadvantages to having a form of money that is only electronic at the same time there are many advantages, for example you can carry all your money in your pocket and no one knows what you are carrying, for example if you have your wallet in a USB no one is going to suspect that in that USB you have a lot of money.

Maybe in some context, physical notes or physical coins for bitcoin is helpful. I guess we can use that as an alternative if in case there is no internet connection to make a transaction in the blockchain.

You don’t know what you’re saying. Do you even know what is cryptocurrency? Cryptocurrency doesn’t need a physical form, they ate meant to be digital only.

So this is stupid, and it’s not going to work, nobody would think of making bitcoin to be physical like having notes and coins, who on earth or what Blockchain are you going to use it for that? Well, going further with this is just making me look stupid, lol… so it’s not possible and it’s very bad question.

You can find a number of bitcoin physical coins in the goods section. Already there are some coins for bitcoins which can store a fixed amount of bitcoins and than yiu can utilize it to pay for someone. Bitcoin notes is something new and really hard to implement as we can  hardly store bitcoins in a note and if yet the notes for bitcoins are into circulation than they might be given some importance as per the localised currency notes like dollars.

In future, if bitcoins are been legalised than these kind of new currency could be into much demand and also some major alternative can be drawn out for it ahead.

There's no point on physical form for BTC, or any other Cryptocurrency for that matter. Tokens can't exist without a wallet to store them on and a regular flash drive works perfectly. It's possible to make sophisticated flash drives (or just something that contains the key) just for this purpose, but what's the point? Let digital money be digital.

No, I don't want that, what would be the point?
The meaning of Bitcoin is just the opposite, it's virtual digital currency, it represents new era where paper money is more and more replaced with new digital payment methods.
I think that with paper banknotes Bitcoin would lose its very essence and idea of digital world that it represents so there is no need for physical form of Bitcoin at all.

What you are asking for is not going to be possible and I also don’t think anyone needs that. Having a paper note or coins for cryptocurrency is not going to work because it is open and not being controlled by anyone. It’s just an electronic /digital money and you can only spend it online or offline stores where Bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency you own is being accepted.

Like many other users has said, bitcoin is designed as digital currency. There is no need to make physical notes or coins for it. I wonder who will own the regulation of the physical notes if it is created, and it can be very dangerous as it can be faked. Keep it as digital currency is the best thing for bitcoin. There can be physical notes or coins, but it must be unofficial version or just like a souvenir with no real values.

There already lots of physical coins (Bitcoin), there are many of them but I don’t they are worth having. Maybe you should check out the Casascius coin, they even have a website—and it’s casascius.com. Each physical coin is worth a real digital Bitcoin. But the problem I’m having with them is that I can’t use cause nobody is ready to take that from you. And it will be considered illegal in some counties if you’re found with it. So you better stay clear.

There are already coins like that, physical coins that are worth Bitcoins, but it doesn’t make any sense. If you bring such to my country, nobody would look at you, not to talk of collecting that piece of metal from you. And to be sincere, it’s illegal to make use of such things, cause they are not currency of any country, so it’s illegal. It would be better we just stick to the online Bitcoin, and I never wish to have a coin or physical note for Bitcoin. Those of you who wish can continue to wish.
