Although you can use GUIMiner or bitcoin-miner.exe to mine, you will only get around 2-3Mhash/s so it would take years to generate a block. Absolutely, but, mining on laptops isn't generally a good idea, because of the stresses associated with bitcoin generation. You can mine whenever you like, but it's only really worth mining if you have a decent GPU.
My recommendation to you is to try out mining, use some different miners, get a good understanding of how things work. I caution you though, do not mine for extended periods of time on a laptop. You should also consider joining a mining pool, as it's unlikely you'll generate any bitcoins on your own. Title: Re: Mining with a notebook?
