Sure... if you can find one the Sapphire 7950s are some of the best Scrypt miners. The reference model! If you find any for sale new please share.

what would be the hashrate of Sapphire 7950?
and what you mean with The reference model!?

I don't know if links are allowed?
but its around 300euro shipped and you can find him on fleabay

I also found
ASUS PCI-E AMD HD7990-6GD5 LITECOIN 1600khash

would this really do 1600 khash?

but this one is just over 700euro shipped

worth it?

also could you have different khash cards together
so lets say I buy 1600khash and later 600khash would this work together?
or do all need to be the same khash?

Yes you can mix cards. But the configs get tricky. You basicaly need to specify the settings for each gpu in the command line. There are references. But to simplify things seperate different cards to different rigs.

This should be a good card, all 7950's come highly recommended for scrypt mining, in particular Sapphire/MSI/Gigabyte branded ones. You can also look up the part number and see if it's listed here: https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison

To give you an idea I get about 580khash's from my 7950 Sapphire. I haven't really played around much with the settings yet, or overclocked it so I am sure that I could get it higher.

partnumber is 11196-19-20G and is not on the list?

so what do you guys think, would I really get 1600khash with this ASUS PCI-E AMD HD7990-6GD5 LITECOIN 1600khash

You can snag used 7950 for about 150-180 euros, so I reckon it's better to get 2 of those. THat'd fare ya about 1200 kH/s maybe a little more considering some people run their 7950 at 700 kh/z.
With the money you save you could build another machine using old parts /used ones and yet another 7950 or couple 6870.

Consider the risk of hw failure, if your 7990 goes bust you're screwed (even if under warranty you're no go for a while).

Plus with a dual gpu setup you could even game and mine at the same time using one 7950 for each.

I only have 1 pci-e slot

however I see what you mean in case of hardware failure

now I am wondering there seem to be many different versions of 7950
could you put multiple different 7950 together? without having config issues?

Probably go with an R9 since 7950 has gone up in price recently

Don't forget about electricity, the 7950 is probably the cheapest electricity cost per hash. For example the R9 280X, which is basically a refreshed 7970, has a bit more hash power than the 7950, but uses a lot more power/electricity, hence will become more expensive the run now and in the future.

FYI, in Europe there are still/again various 7950's for sale, just search Google in the various localized version, ie google.de/nl/fr/etc.
