1. Im not the dev of the coin!

I just read the german forum here and found a nice catch of Maddin0815.(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=398456)

He discovered something on GitHub, called LeproCoin [LPC]

Some info / thoughts:

2. Seems to be a coin of some (big ?) russian forum / group (http://leprosorium.ru) it´s kind of famous as reddit or 4chan over there….
3. Kind of a “soft-launch” Coin is working but actually mined with very low speeds.
4. They made the wallet nice, translated the text and got a cool logo!
5. I highly like this idea, launching a coin without making too much dust, so thats why we will
launch http://lpc.poolerino.com for that coin.
6. They got a Win-Wallet, Mac-Wallet, Source, cool gfx… all the things most new alt-coins are missing…….


Now some coin specs from the source at github:

LeproCoin (LPC) - a shameless clone of SmallChange, which uses scrypt as a proof of work scheme and is intended for microtransactions.
15 seconds block targets: beat that MinCoin! ;)
42 007 680 total coins
no subsidy after approximately 5 years;
4 coins per generated block
difficulty retargets every 0.35 days
currently peers are looked up over IRC only
Other than that, this coin is exactly like Litecoin and could be used as a real cryptocurrency. All of the coin parameters are chosen arbitrarily or at most with 'fairness' towards everyone in mind.
Credits go to the original authors/communities that created Bitcoin, Litecoin and SmallChange.

PRE MINING (!) Please read! IMHO:

“getmininginfo” shows block# 50645 ...so:

50645 x 4 Coins = 202580 Coins are out
202580 x 100 / 42007680 (total coins) = 0,482% of the coins are mined until now. (may be a bit more, don't know when you read this...)

BTW: Difficulty is at: 0.01033983 atm

haha of course you will root for this coin. you have had  ago at it for 600 blocks like you said. 600x4= 2400. that a lot of coins for a slow 4 coins a blocks payment. you know you will be able to cash in once the difficulty hits above 1 and people will barely get 100 coins a day.

it's not exactly the % that matters ...it's block reward and time. I mean you could only mine 0.1% if it was going to take 10 million years to get the rest it would be a massive premine.

200k when it's only 4 per block is a big premine to me anyway - if there is a full ledger and not going to just be dumped and abandoned it could be okay.

Okay, fired up my gui-scrypt with the parameters provided, but I'm not connecting. It's giving me that error where it says to check passwors, ports, etc.

I don't know why but I really like this coin for some reason.

Mining it is more like playing slots than the lottery, small payouts more frequently so even if you have a lull in block finds you still get something.

I was expecting more orphans with such a short target time but it's actually not been that bad.

So I take it that the pool is down for everyone else as well? Is this just front-end, or should I point my miners elsewhere?

The pool is working, just that the front-end is down so you can't register and set up workers. You can still solo-mine though (it started to get slow, so I had switched to another coin, but before writing this post I switched back to LPC and found a block in 30s, nice).

I solo-mined with 730 kh/s throughout the night and found 13 blocks + 4 orphans. It seems the net hashrate is going up though, since it was more than an hour each between the last four blocks I got.

I like that logo more than them that now is used...     but it must be smaller....     and there is an issue with the position of this Logo when Blocks are found, then the immature line will push the logo a little bit down....      sometimes the orphans still in the transaction tab until restart....

I'd love to know how to not get most of found blocks rejected while we're on it, especially now it takes 2-4 hours to find one solo  :P
do we have to put some super large expiry time / replace most of those timeout nodes / something else ?

do you use these cgminer settings for solo mining:  --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1

without them you get of course many rejects, because cgminer make a scan only after 120 seconds, with these settings it will scan every second....

same problem that i had yesterday  :D

these settings made sense when difficulty was so low you got blocks every second (when difficulty was 0.01) but now (80 times higher... and about 256 times higher in some hours...) , I fail to see how they could help... especially the expiry 1. If you specify not to wait for the result more than one second at current difficulty, I fail to see how you could get a single block accepted. Now if expiry does mean something else than its name, that's new to me, and I'd love some explanations  8)

with these settings, and the current difficulty i get about 4 blocks per hour with my 2,800 kHas mining rig

Hi, I´ve one question. I´m solo mining... I got 1 share to 3 stale at my 3 GPUs in my rig. At the forum they said, that I should use this: --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1 to get less stale.

I´m using GUIminer scrypt alpha and there are no setings for queue, scan-time or expiry.

Is there a possibility to optimize my settings?

My settings are:

GPU: x280

Extra flags: "empty"
Thread concurrency: 8192
Worksize: 64 (put it down from 256)
Vectors: 1
Intensity: 13
GPU threads: 2

If you're mining before you've downloaded the blockchain anything you find will be orphaned blocks already found by other people.

Net rate is increasing, is it because of dropped diff?

Something strange is happening with the diff; the change came 30 blocks early, and was double of what was expected.

From what I've seen from other poolerino pools, this is not normal behavior. Is the net hashrate on the pool reliable Mike? It feels like there is a lot more hashpower at work here than we can see.

cryptsy is just piece of ...
it only has volume from historical reasons, but that is all.. and slowly but streadily that volume is moving on better exchanges, where you dont have to wait half an hour for canceling order or day for seeing deposit appear..
