Post by: wusel on August 28, 2011, 05:01:45 PM
Just wanted to warn about this mail that i just received:

Sender (faked): info@mtgox.com

Dear Mt.Gox user,

The last week has shaken the confidence of the bitcoin community as a whole. Thanks to news of MyBitcoin.com collapsing with an as yet undisclosed amount of bitcoins (now in receivership), and a critical technical problem that resulted in the loss of 17,000 BTC from Bitomat.pl (bitcoin's 3rd largest exchange), the price of bitcoin has dropped into single digits for the first time since May.
Full news: https://www.mtgox.com/press_release_20110811.html

Thanks,
The Mt.Gox team

note: To be save, I removed the real bogus link from the email quote.

The Link in the email really pointed to:

     http://mtpox.tk/press_release_20110811

and it redirects to:

     http://wfq44w.tmweb.ru

Simple made site with advertising banners and a page rip from mtgox.

DO NOT PUT YOUR PASSWORT INTO THIS SITE!

Watch for Security Certificate on MTGox - this fake site has none!
