Title: MTGOX PROBLEM - Sold BTC was never credited USD - Check YOUR History
Post by: mike85123 on August 29, 2011, 07:47:11 PM
I posted this in the Economy Forum and it got very few views.  Thought this may be a larger audience for my problem. I mainly just want to see if any other Gox Traders got hit like I did.

This happened when MTGox was being DDOS'd the other day. I have emailed them and they have said they are looking into it, but still no USD.

I sold BTC in 4 different transactions. On the BTC History, it shows 4 transactions going out. But on the USD History, it only shows 3 transactions being credited.

In the BTC history:

In the USD history:

As you can see, I was credited USD for the transactions ending in 332, 479 & 182, but not for the one ending in 747.

I WOULD CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT ANY TRADES IN YOUR ACCOUNT WERE CREDITED PROPERLY AROUND Thu 25 Aug 2011 12:14:41 AM EDT. I HAVE A FEELING THAT IF THIS HAPPENED TO ME, IT HAPPENED TO A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE

This happened 4.5 days ago and I notified Gox of the problem within an hour. Something like this should have been taken care of ASAP, yet Gox is taking their fucking time with mine (and likely your) money.

Did you speak with MagicalTux directly?

I made a small trade that day. Everything worked for me but I am not at the same time frame as you
in an hourly sense.

I emailed admin at Herodes suggestion and the trade was reversed by Mark within 30 mins. Wish I would have thought to do that earlier.

I'm out $3.50 since the value of BTC has dropped $2 since I 'sold' but not too worried about it since it was less than 2 BTC.

Thanks for the quick turnaround Mark.

I still think everyone else should audit their trades around that time to make sure nothing happened with their accounts. Kind of surprised this hasn't bothered more people...
