About sound i mad video in server room who are already very noisy and i use overclock mode (fan working 100% every time) NEVER change fan but you can change parameter can easily change the configuration cgminer .

Does it only need 12 volt power from the power supply?
Because I'd rather use server power supplies, I have some HP ones that can put out 100amps on the 12v line
I know the bitmain antminer only taps the 12v line, no 3.3v or 5v needed

That noise is such a shame! Makes it (at least in my opinion) not usable for using it in your own house. Too bad.

Power cable blade is include with update kit and with box withoupower supply

if you buy box without power supply you can buy atxpower more 1000W for 2 blades and more 1250 if you need add 1 blades (3 blades totals)

atx power must be : 6 x pci-e power 8pin + 2 x atx power cable 8pin . normally all supplies 1000w sold on these connectors

Standart use 1 blade power draw ~ 400W

For 2 blade with 1300mhz parameter power draw is ~820W
For 2 blade with 1500mhz parameter power draw is ~1000W

but if you need overclock box more to 1500 mhz you can change atx power .

For 3 blade with 1350mhz parameter power draw is ~1260W


And parameter to restart every 45min is security if you want to overclock your box. But if not overclock its is useless :)

Is the restart to prevent it from overheating?

Are these rigs in house friendly or do they need to be stored in a warehouse? I saw a youtube video on one, sounded like a jet engine. I think my wife would get pist at me if I brought that in the house. :(

3 box blades / no PSU / 2.3 each / total = 6.9

total: 6.9 BTC

question: why to buy update kits? maybe the price should be revised?

If you have the space and funds you better buy 3 units, with 2 blades. Gives you better overclock ability (less power draw, less heat) and better redundancy (if one fails you only lose 33% of your capacity). I think upgrade kit is interesting for people without the room or funds to buy more than one machine.

I sent freetrax an email about tracking numbers.

He emailed me back and said that they should ship within 1 or 2 days and he would email tracking information at that time. I'm already a bit saddened that we have already been lied to about the shipping times.

I just wanted to give you guys an update. We are experiencing similar behavior over in the btmine group buy.

I honestly believe these companies are working their butts off to fulfill these orders.

A local chip vendor apparently sold some counterfeit secondary chips (not the mining chips) which bricked a bunch of circuit boards in the btmine group buy. One of the members of the btmine team went to shanghai just to get some replacement chips. This could be a contributing factor.

It could also be that there is a lot of sudden demand for relevant computer parts. I did notice that the btmine casing has changed since the early orders.

I think we will receive our units, but I think it will be an extra week, on average, than we all expected. Maybe 2 weeks.

I do like that this group buy in particular has been much more disciplined.

I don't think we were lied to but I think that the suppliers are crappy.
As far as I can see our order was placed. And now we are waiting on the manufacturer to live up to there end of the agreement. I just hope we don't end up in btminers situation.

Shipping today 17 box and in few days complete other shipping (2 - 3 days max).

so I called both FEDEX and DHL asking if they had any packages scheduled for delivery to my zip code in the USA I had told them I had orderd some computer hardware from china and was not getting a tracking number so both dhl and fedex looked up any shipping to my zip and both came up with nothing. its Monday freetrax can you call your supplier and get tracking numbers. and find out if they really shipped the miners?

Just don't like being told miner shipped and I have no way to see it. Then finding out miners started shipping Monday not Thursday last week

I received first shipment today! Have to say that the rig is nice, good quality case, clean build. Some cables were loose due to shipping, but after reconnecting all worked fine. Don't put it in the bedroom, since it will make noise...

Rig is running on 1400 MHz now, and around 220 GH/s, so all is as promised. Don't forget to set ntp pool correctly, otherwise cgminer won't run.

Only downside is the longer than expected lead time, but that seems to be everywhere atm.. Think the factory is just telling freetrax that items have been shipped, but actually it's not..

Glad to hear it.  I hope we get some setup documentation with this or at least its posted somewhere.

DHL says my unit is "with courier" in my city... so I should have it today, perhaps tomorrow at the latest. So don't sweat it guys, freetrax so far looks totally legit and yes a few extra delays but compared to most sellers here they were very minimal and he has been very good to deal with.

I'm very busy last day , and i working hard to get a quick delivery, some people have recieve you avalon box, delivery delay  its longest but is chinese new year and dhl is very long for sending a final tracking number.

I order many machine for me but box for you (group buy) is sending and for me is sending after .

The avalon factory is overworked and I especially is no interest you deliver with periods longer :)

For future transaction i order all box and i send directly to my office in france , is better for shipping delay and quality controle.

My unit arrived! Thumbs up... I'll do some testing and report back here in a few.

Update. The Avalon "blades" of course didn't have the power connectors plugged in but that was easy enough to fix. The unit is up and hashing away at full speed just as freetrax claimed. I had to keep them at 1300 mhz as they are getting a little too warm for my liking at 1400mhz, even with the cover off and a good fan pointing at them. I need to keep the temp in my office down a bit more (or move this unit to the house... perhaps tomorrow).

All in all, everything is exactly as I had hoped and this unit looks very well put together indeed. I hope you guys get your units soon!

I actually ordered my unit with the great wall power supply. The limited reviews I found on it (amazon) were pretty positive. It is a standard ATX power supply but it has some additional cables to mate up to the Avalon blades. I'm at home and the unit is at the office but freetrax's pictures really show everything.

im just worried the 1200w powersupply I have may have an issue due to how it has 1 atx12v 4x4 pin power and 1 eps 12v power instead of 2 atx power I understand they are the same style rail but im worried the connector may have an issue

I just need if possible high-resolution photos's of the psu ctrl board and how they interface with the miners. that's it so a side shot and a as best as possible upclose of the psu ctrl board. the psu I have im worried that it wont interface with the psu board due to the config.

If that's that case then he can ship 2 units instead of just 1.  He needs to communicate with us on these issues.

In Hong Kong, any tracking number given can look live.  This does not mean the unit has been dispatched.  I'm not saying this wont be dispatched but giving tracking numbers doesn't mean the shipping company has it in their hands.

Well my second unit is scheduled for delivery today (pickup delayed from friday -> monday), so seems Fedex is having issues shipping on time.

Was wondering how the unit runs for everybody? Do you run overclocked? How is it with HW errors? Running 1400 MHz at times hash rate seems to stall, dropping back to 40 GH/s. So a cron reboot seems needed. It does get hot, ambient now is around 15 degrees C, so heat dissipation should be optimal.

My tracking is showing that my avalon is sitting on Lantau island in hk. Good news is fedex has it bad news Lantau island is like a fed ex black hole for customs :/

anybody get there unit today?

Received my other unit. Has an additional fan (so 3 in total), and drill holes for 2 additional cards. Assembly was fine, runs out of the box. Runs stabler than the first one, perhaps because of the later production date.

Got my unit and is hashing away glad it was easy to setup. The unit says it does have wifi on board. I may play with that later thanks freetrax I left feedback for you in your trust.

if you look on the psu control board there are 6 sata and 2 eps and then your regular atx mobo hookup just use them as they are labled
