Title: Securing My Bitcoin Wallet Post by: plogank on August 30, 2011, 05:31:44 PM I sent a few Bitcoins to my wife's wallet. I then encrypted my wallet with GPG and stored a copy in a secure location.
I then opened my Bitcoin client and of course a new empty wallet was made. I then transferred the Bitcoins I stored on my wife's computer back to my wallet. I did discover I now have a new address and the old one won't work. I lost .001 Bitcoin testing but I'm guessing I'll get that back when I open my saved wallet. This worked for me and I hope it'll help someone else. Title: Re: Securing My Bitcoin Wallet Post by: greyhawk on August 30, 2011, 06:10:54 PM Here's a lot of info on securing your wallet
