Considering that they seem to be quite open to new technology and that Bitcoin is quite popular in the pirate scene it shouldn't be impossible. Since they are new they will probably appreciate the attention that this could bring them as well. So send them a feature request at their site. I already did my part.

Maybe a programmer will get in touch with Bayfiles and talk geek to them, figure out what features are needed for these download sites to accept bitcoin. Seems like a killer app.

On thinking about it I wonder is it poorly phrased and the point they are getting at is to do with the fact that the wallet is unencrypted by default currently. Should have said something like "protection to users" rather than "privacy". Bit of a leap to make perhaps?
