Title: Intro Post
Post by: Keith Kimball on January 08, 2014, 07:54:16 AM
Hello,

I'm fairly new to cryptos - just a couple months in. Since then I've built a couple of mining rigs and turned my desktop into one also. I was able to grab a bunch of 280xs while they were still $300-$350. The amount of troubleshooting I've had to go through to set these things up is crazy (I had only a small amount of exp with building computers). Now I've got them all running smoothly and churning out about 8Mh/s with scrypt mining of course. If anyone has any questions about their own set ups, dont hesitate to ask.

how much power your  8Mh/s consume ? did you manage to earn enough money to pay those mining rigs ? what coin are you mining ?

Power consumption is roughly about 4kw/h. I've been mining some FTC and doge since I got everything set up and have been holding when I probably should have been dumping. So far I've recouped about 20% of the cost (about 3 weeks of mining). Should have been up to almost 50% by now. I think I'll point my hashes toward a profit-switching pool, probably see better profits from one of those

How about you try to go on multipools.com and you turn multiport on (auto switching to mine most profitable coin). Then you go to criptsy and put auto sell option on and you don't have to worry.
All time you mine most profitable coin and auto selling it on crptsy if you set option for multipool to autosell that coins.

What coins are you pointing those bad boys at??

You only need to dump if ur are trying to make short term money..... just leave your BTC for a good couple of months and it will go up, never rush at this stage u'll make very little.

Most scrypt coins are profitable and all for PC only really at the moment.
