I've recently acquired 2 Dell PowerEdge 2850 Dual Xeon Processor Servers. They have two PCI-e slots, one is 1x the other 8x. I see most of the GPU's being used for mining are x16. I'm sure the cards would work, but how much of a performance hit am I taking? Any help or linkage to relevant information is greatly appreciated. Thanks gents! You're going to need extender cables. You can get them from cablesaurus.com (http://cablesaurus.com). The good mining cards are all dual slot, I'd be worried about fitting those in a 2u server. |
