Simply follow the instructions and add the IP address to your hosts file. I tried just now before and after updating /etc/hosts; failed before, worked after. I don't like messing with the hosts file because I've forgotten in the past that I made changes to it and then couldn't figure out why I couldn't reach a site by name because it moved.
Title: Re: MtGox is down Post by: theymos on March 03, 2011, 07:38:52 PM Many sites nowadays require that your browser send the correct "host" header ("Host: mtgox.com") so multiple sites can be hosted on one IP address. This is why you often need to put the name in the hosts file.
