The way I understand it, during times of high load, the forum restricts the access to non members. Pay $10 for an account. I did the other day, and I can't stop laughing over some of the threads. There is an excellent tech subforum too. It is a surprisingly diverse community, not one of 'paid professional trolls' at all ;)

I am myself am not a mason, but I have friends who are and I have done my share of understanding what it is based on (good original intentions based on lofty spiritual ideas) that I believe have been infiltrated. If you know so much about this than why didn't you call it as it is named. Yes, you are correct, at the highest levels this is what appears to be going on at least from all the research and evidence I have been able to ascertain.  I am not for this at all, and if you look at my website you will see sections on financial awareness, spiritual awareness, and health awareness that help people be more aware and not sheeple.

However, you can't call free masons evil just like you can't call any one group of anything evil.  I think, like many secret orders that tried to teach hermetic and ancient traditions through gnosis , the highest levels were infiltrated and since the order is so compartmentalized and secret, the sincere good free masons would have no idea and consider all negative talk about their organization an attack, and from their perspective, they would be correct.  We all view the world from our projection of it.  

Basically all entities polarize at some point into believing we are all one and connected, or separate and I better look out for only me - survival of the fittest.  There is a third camp that does believe we are all one, but that that one must be controlled through power an might alone - hence he sees the other selves as being weaker and needed to be enslaved or controlled, along the lines of demonology hierarchic rule. The world is currently being run by the negative second camp who believes they are absolutely correct and just in what they are doing and that if they weren't they wouldn't be at the top of the pyramid - but the world is waking up and hierarchic structures times and darkness are coming to an end.  The individual must awaken though.... no shouting, fighting, trolling, insults... attacks.. are going to do anything but fuel the weakest most trivial parts of your being.

I think I read this is one reason Hubbard went the route he did when he made up Scientology, where you do all that crazy Thetan stuff in levels and only if you get high enough in the org then the whole lunatic alien stuff is revealed. I have been consistently disappointed by the Bitcoin enthusiasts that I have encountered on the forums and in real life (with the exception of a few professional individuals).

I first got into Bitcoin as a miner, because it was just too damn bleeding edge for me NOT to get involved. I thought "hey, this is both hilarious, unique and a technical challenge!"

I sold all my Bitcoins today. Perhaps it has a future, but more likely it will be replaced by something else, and hopefully it will not be so full of nutty conspiracy theorist, government hating perverts, pedophiles, scammers, fraudsters and their ilk.

After mastering mining and getting bored, I started looking at how Bitcoin really works. I'll tell you this: Very VERY few people in these forums who are proponents of Bitcoin actually understand how it works. Furthermore, their banal assumptions that Bitcoin transactions are anonymous makes for great entertainment, but also makes me wonder how much more this whole grand experiment can take? If you purchase drugs, kiddie porn, or anything illegal with Bitcoin, you are incredibly ignorant. "They" can find you, as can I. The whole blockchain is public, transparent and ultimately simple to investigate.

The paranoia that is seeping out of these forums and threads has at least a basis in the fact that many of these insane and misinformed individuals have used their Bitcoins for illegal purposes, under the flag of freedom and libertarian values that TRUE libertarians simply don't subscribe to..

..and the paranoia is only going to get worse, especially once people start getting arrested and prosecuted for real world criminal activity, unfortunately centered around their use of bitcoin as a medium of exchange.

While it's unfortunate that the experiment seems to be ending this way, I only hope that Bitcoin 2.0 is even more transparent, where people don't hide behind proxies and stupid user names.

Our Lodge's symbol is that of a train, because as the railway was being build from Eastern Canada to the West, the lodge moved with the line and the workers.

I received my Master Mason degree on November 15, 2007, and it's an experience I will never forget. A brother in my lodge is a tattoo artist and I will be getting my first tattoo as a half-sleeve, commemorating the many aspects of my Masonic life.

I decided to join the Scottish Rite and we are now on break for the summer. I am currently a 9th degree - Elect of the Nine.

The degrees in Freemasonry
This is starting point for all men who wish to become Masons. The Blue (Craft or Symbolic) Lodge confers the following degrees:

1. Entered Apprentice
2. Fellow Craft
3. Master Mason

The 3rd Degree, that of the Master Mason, is the "highest" degree the can be given in all of Freemasonry.

After the Blue Lodge, a Master Mason may receive further teachings through the Scottish Rite. The Scottish Rite can confer an additional 30 degrees to the Master Mason.

An honorary 33rd° is conferred annually to certain 32nd° masons who have exemplified, in their daily lives, the true meaning of the Brotherhood of Man. The recipient must be at least 33 years of age and may not apply for the degree.

Although the Scottish Rite degrees are numbered, it is not to imply that masons who have achieved these degrees are of "higher" rank. The highest degree in Freemasonry is the sublime degree of Master Mason or 3° which is given in the Blue Lodge.

The York Rite is another organization that can give provide additional Masonic teachings and confer additional degrees. The York Rite is Christian in nature (Commandery degrees).

I had a friend in Alcoholics Anonymous that told me about the requirement for believing in a higher power. I asked him what if the person was an atheist and he said that you could be your own higher power. I tried to explain to him that the meaning of the word "higher" precludes one from being higher than oneself but he didn't get it. This Freemasonry stuff sounds a lot like that. If you need to be told not to rape and murder people instead of just coming to that conclusion on your own, you might have deeper issues that joining a cult will only make worse.

Actually, Alcoholics Anonymous is a subset of Freemasonry. Their 12 step program, is called the 12 step program for a reason. 12 is a powerful number. Freemasons recognize this fact.
