Hoping to hear from BITMAIN on the vouchers they promised to original buyers. I participated in the very first auctions 1 and 2 myself. Sushi could not give any discount/voucher benefit due to not being part of BITMAIN.

my biggest question. what will be on customs document.
If its a high price its better to order at sushi reviews . customs in europe is atleast an extra 20 to 30% of btc to euro converted price .

In my personal experience with the auctions BITMAIN themselves completed, the documentation was similar to Sushi's Group Buys.

Just sent payment for 1 unit =) , no errors in order process, waiting for payment to confirm!

I never really saw what came of it. I asked them about it on my last order and (either as a result, or simply a token) found an extra U1  in my package

just ordered from the site - waiting on a payment confirmation (guess they want more than 1 confirms?)

my understanding is that sushi was likely just an organiser who fowarded all the payments and shipping info to bitmain while providing his own support. The units almost certainly still shipped direct from the bitmain labs

So I guess someone just got to 2nd order my AntMiner S1 because it shows expired as status..

same here.  i had to run out after watching it hit 10 confirms without it being marked as paid.  when i got back it was at 20 confirms, finally marked as paid, but also expired.  i think they are going to have to sell more than 30 units at that price or return a lot of BTC......

Another problem.

The need to pay within a hour is ridiculous. If the buyers BTC in in a paper wallet then it can take over 1 hour to get the coin to a paying wallet, and if confirmations are slow then it will take longer.

What also happens if someone sends the payment but it is waiting for the first confirmation for a long time because the next block with transactions takes a long time but the deadline has passes whilst that is happening. The order gets marked expired but the payment is already sent, in that case do you refund.

EDIT: This can also happen is a order is part paid from one address but the other gets stuck waiting for a pool to add the transaction to a block.

The information that the payment must be made in 1 hour only appears after the order has been made. I am reporting the problems and showing other scenarios where it can go wrong as Bitmain has asked in his OP!

Another problem on the https://bitmaintech.com/accountInfo.htm page. It has an extra User Name field but there already is a User ID field that holds the login name for the user.

 I can understand your frustration, but feel you are barking up the wrong tree here.

Personally I am not frustrated, I had ample funds in my wallet and the status of my order is currently paying
I just find ridiculous the expectation that 1 hour is long enough when the payment system is itself cannot meet that timescale.

If there is a horrible block or an orphan that occurs that 6 x 10 minutes for a completed payment can take a whole lot longer.

Isn't the payback on these machines likely 90 days [and very little after], even excluding PSU and any taxes?

Mine is finally showing confirmed.  Although I have yet to get the email they said would be sent once confirmed.  Guess they are going through a website shakedown and we are test group.
It does appear that the 2.4 btc deal is still available.

As always the ROI is difficulty rise and electricity cost dependent but I agree you, I haven't found a better deal.

My order just switched to 'Paied' as well ::) - pretty much right after the 6th confirmation came in. Since they seem to be waiting for all 6 confirmations the 60 minute limit is indeed quite tight. So far I have not received a (payment) confirmation email either.

I am wondering if the website is not enforcing the 30 unit limit, or if 30 or so of these payments are not considered to have been received in time (and will be refunded?).

if I wanted to buy something at walmart on Boxing day, I would make sure my paycheck was fully cashed and in my banking account. I wouldnt go to walmart, pull my item off the shelf, and hang around the cash registers for hours/days until my paycheck deposited

You're good, don't worry. Where some of see it is that we have Expired in place of your Valid.

I agree with your assessment, with one exception: when making a BTC transfer can take surprisingly long before getting 6 confirmations (hence, over 1 hour). For example, we've seen 28 minute blocks today, IIRC. The aspiration for BTC blockchain is to get a block every 10 minutes, so in comparison to that 1 hour is somewhat ambitious - if 6 confirmations are required before acknowledged.

Then again, I think BITMAIN's website shop uses a similar software to what I've been using elsewhere where the software itself has defined 1 hour as the BTC payment window. So not exactly a fault of theirs... (Btw, I think you can re-configure that.)

I expect that the 1hr window is only searching for the first confirmation on the network - but wont mark your order 'PAIED' until 6 confirms.

as long as you send the transaction in a timely manner (lets say 30min), the system wont bump you from the line.

FWIW, one of my transactions to purchase an S1 has been confirmed to the blockchain, yet still shows Unpaid in the "My Orders" section as well.

I would recommend some patience. We are helping test their store after all. It's super early in the morning in China right now, and i would imagine they'll get these issues ironed out in due time.

Personally I'm fine with any resolution, I was waiting for BITMAIN to respond to the info-text I included in the order asking for the situation with the vouchers (also sent it by other means) and thus paid it only later when I saw that they weren't going to respond for the night (auction started at 11pm in China).

No confirmation email yet. I purchased within 10 seconds of them opening up. So if I have not received one I doubt anyone has.

Hey if you guys offered the U1 in quantities less than 500 (say 10 or 20) more people could buy them (like me).

Go buy from someone who is a reseller. There are a dozen or so in the group buy forum with STOCK to ship!

What forum is that in?  I looked around here but couldn't find any.  The "goods" forum seems full of everything including kitchen sinks but not ASIC gear that I could see (didn't look past page one though to be honest).

As my other posts explain, you do not find out it is an hour until you are in the checkout.

Using your scenario, you have gotten to the checkout and they have told you that the card system is down and ask for cash, what do you offer then, more violence?

I have the same problem, payment made from blockchain.info at 15:23:50... 40 minutes later have 8 confirmations but not confirmed in the web.

The revision of miners BITMAIN is producing has the white PCIe connector on each of the two "blades" of an AntMiner S1.

As you can see payment happened 2 minutes after the invoice was generated.
It got 6 confirmations well before the 1 hour window to expire.
As I write this, there are 12 confirmations already, but your website says "expired" ?!

I also noticed that under "Pay" column it said "Pay: 0 BTC" instead of "2.65 BTC" ?

This is bitcoin. there is one type of payment and one type only. Your cash example simply does not translate - it would be like the bitcoin checkout asking you to pay with paper wallets despite the obvious fact you are in a different county from the store

If you want to buy something priced in BTC, have your bitcoins ready. dont leave your wallet at home when you go to the store

24 hours+ and still no confirmation.  How hard is it to send out 30 emails.
They need to hire Sushi in the Corporate office.  He'll show them how it's done. :'(

No I'm not. last time I'm responding on the issue, because its not that complicated:

I can accept the merits of having an offline wallet or online wallet that you don't want to send the actual payment tx from.

But seriously: The price and time was announced about 24hrs in advance, with the clear knowledge of limited availability. A smart person would make sure to transfer the 2.4BTC to their payment wallet/address well in advance so they could be the first to complete payment. That smart person would recognise that unless they can both put the item in thier cart AND pay for it quickly, it may be given to the next person who IS prepared.

You did not do this. You did not think it would be important to pay ASAP after purchase, and when you bought the item it told you that unless you pay within 1 hour your Antminer would be for-fitted back into available stock. Because you did not have your money available to give the store, they gave you 1 hour to prove you have the money. You couldn't and the store offered the item to someone who COULD.

Hi all, we have sold out the testing batch. All the bought miners will be shipped no later than Wednesday, most likely Tuesday.

Now we only reserved some of the S1 only for testing antminer's mining pool. More Ants are being produced.

i just got a shipping notice, so it looks like they are making good on at least one of the very early orders that didn't flow properly thru their order system and showed as "Expired" yesterday.

Received a shipping number through email (having ordered within the 1st minute of the promotion sales, but also had the code 'Expired' with the 'Paid' code, so BITMAIN is indeed filling also these orders).

I don't think any other company responds as fast. I mean, come on, it was Sunday for them yesterday after all. Getting a tracking number on the next business day while placing an order on Saturday... what more can you ask? (Well, of course you can ask but you might not get!)

I think the biggest concern on mine (and I would assume others like me but I cannot be sure) is that I cannot make the correct modifications to power supplies to power these things.  Could you possible consider an option of adding premade wires or something that all I have to do is then connect them to a standard ATX power supply?  That would be helpful and I know that you would get at least a couple of orders from me, and a lot from a guy I know looking to buy a couple TH's of machines but is concerned about setup.

Yesterday after I bought the 2.4BTC miner I went back to the site to see if I could get another.
My only option was a price of 2.65BTC.  So I put it in my cart but did not buy it as I had no btc and really did not expect to have enough until late this week.
But I had a little windfall so I went to the site on another pc and tried to buy one, but could not.  It appears they were out.  But when I sign in to my account on my laptop my cart still has one miner in it for 2.65BTC.  Just sittin' there.  So I bought it and it's been confirmed.  Nice glitch!

Mine went sort of the same route.

UPS is just SO ANNOYING to work with... I need to vent a little.

I missed the package because I was at work on day 1
- day 2 I was home (especially for the miner) when I was out of the door for litteraly 4 minutes, I missed the UPS guy. I rang UPS knowing the UPS van would be very close, asking them if he could turn around or stop somewhere so I could go to him. Wasn't possible, they can't call their drivers.
- leaving at the neighbours wasn't an option because it had to be paid (ok, this makes sense)
- in the meantime I received confirmation about a 2nd ant being sent to me by UPS was also ready for delivery, so it's 2 ants I'm waiting for now
- Asked them if I could pay the amount upfront by bank or something so it could be delivered without charge at the neighbours (told them it was OK if they sign for me), wasn't possible
- sending it to my work was not an option. I work at a hospital IT department, so I asked them to deliver there. They said at hospitals they only deliver at the goods receivement. I work there a few days a week (hired, not fixed personell) so I don't know those guys. I asked them to call me when the driver is close so I can pick it up, but that wasn't possible
- Asked them to deliver at my office where I am today, wasn't possible because it was too far from my home
- Asked them to deliver after 17:00 or in the weekend, nope wasn't possible either
- Asked them if I could pick it up, well this was possible but only during working hours (09:00-17:00 weekdays only) which doesn't work for me this and the next week
- Asked them to deliver at my parents in law, surprisingly this was possible but it would take another day
- Asked them to send me an email with both amounts that had to be paid (I was in the car while arranging this), guess what... WASN'T POSSIBLE because she didn't have email on the PC she's working on
- Asked them if the amount can be paid by credit/debet card, wasn't possible
- Asked them if the driver has change, no he hasn't , needs to be paid the exact amount, "or you can give any excess amount to the driver as fee"

WHAT THE HELL seriously?

Conclusion is now it will be delivered 4 days later than the 1st attempt because UPS is as flexible as a concrete wall.

sounds similar.
-I ask them to hold it for pickup rather then sending on delivery attempt, told they cant do that until after first attmpt
-I ask the same thing again at 6:30Pm because theres no UPS delivery yet, told the exact same thing
- First delivery attempt shows up at 9:45PM - no notice tag left, I assume this 'attempt' happened at the same time as the truck returned to the distribution center
- I ask them to hold it for pickup ASAP, told its too late at night, and its on a truck for delivery attempt #2 the next day
- 2nd attempt happens at 2PM, theres a note in the lobby for them with my buzzer code and what floor im on. Me and a friend are home from 11am-3pm and there is no knock, no buzzer call, and no delivery notice left anywhere in the building
- I call to pick it up, finally arrange to pick up the next weekday morning

UPS is a terrible service. I never have problems with FedEx, Canada Post, or DHL - only UPS seems to skip my address and fail to leave any proof of being there (ie: attempt notice)

When did you order the 2.65BTC units? It makes sense that they ship a few days after the small fire-sale batch (if/assuming they are a different batch run). The 2.2 BTC units wont ship until sometime next week, close to the weekend.

I ordered on jan. 13 and it was shipped yesterday! The 2.2 batch will start shipping tomorrow ( Jan. 18 ) as stated in the OP, so they will arrive at the same time or one day later than mine that cost 2.65 BTC, so I end up paying 0.45 BTC for NOTHING other that Bitmains greed!!

I even asked them to cancel my order if I could not get it for 2.2 BTC, that mail they also avoided answering untill they had shipped the Ant ( that email was sent 2 days before they shipped )

I have mailed them, but they graciously avoid all questions and just give me a runaround about a coupon for 0.2 BTC! They are so greedy that they can't even give a refund of 0.45 BTC, or the 0.2 BTC... What is a coupon for their site worth, can't buy anything for that and who knows if they are even in business in a few weeks.

So all in all, I and all who paid 2.65 BTC are being scammed for 0.45 BTC  :o

Before joining this conversation you might read a little! The 2.2 batch will arrive on Monday Jan. 20, same as my Ant, so you tell me if I'm "greedy", I have paid 2.65 and will not get it before the 2.2 batch!!

It's a 1.9BTC AntMiner S1 with a 0.2 customer discount coupon. I've paid within a few minutes after ordering.

On the website it says "UNPAID UNSHIPPED EXPIRED"

But as you can see from the transaction ID, it's paid and confirmed!

Please look into this and fix it and ship the miner to me, thanks.

update:
Issue sorted by bitmain after sending them an email. Order now shows PAID UNSHIPPED VALID so I'm just waiting shipment.

does anyone know if the S1 has a CE certificate?

I think they have ROHS, so i would think they would also have CE? but don’t quote me on that
