Today in South Africa on our radio station 90.6 at 13:00 the presenter even read the current Bitcoin price. This is amazing to keep our radio listeners up to date.
Does your country radio stations keep you updated with the current Bitcoin price?

reading the bitcoin price on radio is not exactly the same as advertising it though. when you announce the price the listener will just hear another name with another number, they may not even bother thinking twice about bitcoin and what they are hearing.
advertising bitcoin is more about teaching people about what bitcoin really is not what it is worth in USD.

 I have read that Google banned advertisement about blockchain in March of this year. The reason is: While this market boom has generated a lot of excitement and many people got rich by it, this is still an uncontrollable market and has discovered countless games. Now, do you can find the update news?

That is a good move, the radio station is indeed one of the media to promote bitcoin. But I think the internet is the best media, because Bitcoin users are people who already want to enter the era of digitalization so that the internet can be menajdi bridge someone to more easily recognize the digital currency and in particular is Bitcoin.

This is a good idea can attracts many investors and they pay attention on what is bitcoin in a real world.

In our country there was a month in which they focused bitcoin. And after that month they stop tackling about bitcoin. And by that month, bitcoin was persecuted in our country. But after that month, it stopped. All of it stopped. It is said that bitcoin is okay again.

Well it was a good news because bot all people have their own television or internet to be aware about these cryptos. Advertising bitcoin through radio makes people aware especially those who are in remote areas who don't have access to internet. It was a big step to make people knowledgeable about bitcoin.

I agree but for what is worth many people in our rural community does not have internet. They are relying on the news to keep them updated. Many people in these communities cannot always go to the nearest internet caffee. At least my country is trying its best.

we usually say this as a "joke" but you would be surprised to find out how many people actually believe this and also act on it. meaning they stop at nothing to prevent the adoption of bitcoin for example by spreading a lot of FUD day and night so that they can buy more bitcoin over time.

Unfortunately they only say about the price and not about Bitcoin like a platform. From the price prospective it is better when media keep silence ;D

In my country Indonesia I do not think there has ever been, and if in South Africa there are bitcoin advertisements on the radio it is really very good and can make a positive impact on bitcoin and also cryptocurrency.

For me , that was really great because using some advertisement can help bitcoin to promote and more become famous .

advertising these days is about being subtle. some conspiracy theorists call it subliminal programming. hearing a certain word repeated several times makes that word stick

advertising companies dont talk about how dough is made and cheese. they just talk about the price of a 12 inch pizza. you may then see in town a Pizza hut. and then when they get home you'll see a leaflet on their doorstep of a pizza menu.

I was thinking the same thing. Great thinking but it would be better if people at least have the basic knowledge about bitcoin. How it works, the power and the abilities of bitcoin.

That's really a short yet effective way of advertising if you'd ask me. If the target audience don't have much knowledge about the coin, there's a huge chance that most people would be curious and look it up over the intenet. It generates some form of unique interest from the masses that stems into more intriguing questions. They'd soon get hook, and hopefully get theirselves involved in the ongoing craze about cryptocurrencies. Subtle yet effective advertising always works wonders IMO.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that spreads and usage through social media or the internet is much more dominant in the cryptocurrency market but if Bitcoin's reporting through electronic media is also efficient because the general public also needs to understand about the existence of Bitcoin digital currency.

Yes it was a good move to advertise bitcoin. As we all know thatany of us don't have access with bitcoin because they don't have internet to be aware with bitcoin especially those in the remote areas they rely more in radio. So I believe that this would be a steppingstone to make bitcoin well known around the world.

Radio channels do talk about bitcoin sometime or the other. However, it's more of education rather than a pricing board. Advertising is very limited, as the government is undecided and have still not taken a final decision on regulation.

Really?! Well, I know Bitcoin is very popular in South Africa. However, the South African government does not regard Bitcoin as a currency, but its usage is legal as it's widely used and accepted as a means of payment. Just don't know if this is good or bad for crypto enthusiasts, Bitcoin along with other cryptocurrencies also been subjected to normal income tax because the government and/or tax authority regards them as intangible assets that must be declared as properties and not currencies.

Nope though it doesnt alert us whether it would increase or some news around crypto news but then again hoping to legalize it someday , still its illegal on our country but despite the problem , our government was planning to set a regulation in regards legalizing bitcoin.

I don't think that is what you call advertising as what is he saying is only counted as a news. Advertising Bitcoin needs to be promoted by the host but merely updating listeners with the price of Bitcoin is not considered as promoting it. We do have a similar situation here in my country where before they only update us with stock prices now they sometimes mention Bitcoin and even Ethereum prices to their news. But even so I don't consider that as a form of advertisement.

realy? wow that was realy amazing because in our country i never heard any good news about bitcoin or even other crypto currency. they just only reporting on tv if there is a big scam accusation in bitcoin lol.

I do not think that broadcasting price of bitcoin constitutes to advertising. In general, advertising involves marketing communication that sponsors a product or a service in order to promote or to sell it. By just broadcasting the price of bitcoin in the radio, this entails that your country impliedly accept its utilization in the market and in the society. Though it may not be a form of advertising, we still cannot deny the fact that it gives importance to bitcoin and its implication to the society. If your country accepts it as an alternative payment, then it might be a step-forward towards the development of cryptocurrencies in general.


Unfortunately, what gets on the news are the things that are currently relevant. If the hype dies down (like what happened to the price of bitcoin when it suddenly skyrocketed and decreased) the media tends to deviate itself from the current situation and only broadcasts news that may seem important currently to the situation.


If that is the case, then the implication of it is its legality and status of cryptocurrencies in your country. Unfortunately, if no news are spread then it implies that the country prohibits the utlization of it. That's a great news to hear something like this because in my country the media houses are owned by the large business groups which are close to government and thus we only hear criticism about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as of now. However, there is a good number of people having awareness of cryptocurrency in my country and thus we do have good communities to discuss crypto industry on social media and even in the offline meetups. Most of the radio presenters in my country don't know what bitcoin is or may be are just playing politics with the whole thing, I have never hard any radio station that has air any bitcoin advert or show. But I have hard seminars which are hold in hotel about bitcoin being announced on the radio.

Bitcoin related posts can be usually found in social medias, there were great number of post created in twitter. Social media is a very effective platform to make greater number people in the crypto community. This kind of platform allows bitcoin to become popular and gain demand from more people. Publicity in mainstream media is not to effective, since the news related to it are just negative effects of this technology.

My country is still at the kindergarten stage of bitcoin awareness, Bitcoin is within the knowledge of few who are involved in its use. My government has no official regulation on bitcoin. so only few online business owners who wants to organize seminar that are talking about bitcoin on radio.

Nope I don’t think I have heard our local radio stations mentioning the current price of bitcoin however there are some local news which flashes bitcoin price today on the tv screen together with other currencies like Dinar and Dollars.

I do not think it's worthwhile to advertise on media like radio because just hearing sounds is not good, it's better if the ads on youtube are very clear there is a picture and vote, so youtube or some other media is currently suitable for cryptocurrency ads.

I did not even listen to the radio for a long time, nor did I watch television. I am too busy with my work, so when I want to read the news, I can only read it digoogle. Yes, even though most of the news digoogle only contains ads.

Bitcoin is gaining popularity and adoption on daily basis, yesterday there was a seminar which was air live on television station in my country and the seminar was on how to trade in bitcoin, that is to show that very soon bitcoin will become the world universal currency which will be use across borders.

Bitcoin advertising like we are working to invest in this bitcoin we invested our way or opinion to answer or fill in the problem that is provided in the bitcoin forum that already includes us invest in bitcoin.

In our country Bitcoin is less prominent for public media like radio and televisions but in social media and in the internet, Bitcoin is pretty much known. People in our country also made a dedicated app for Bitcoin to store it their and other currencies. I think in your case and for being an example that any country can go for, its nice to publicize Bitcoin and crypto as its something that can impact our future and its better for the public to know it and learn it for them also to gain from Bitcoin.

Bitcoin doesn't need any marketing. It's a grassroot movement and is spreading around the world by word of mouth. Companies adopt, accept it as payment method and therefore more people recognize it. And from the investment point of view, institutionals will get in, drive the price up, which will bring us more headlines when the next bull run begins, and again more people will recognize Bitcoin and join the space.

Usually i dont use a radio everyday, I used social media, mobile phone and watch television in my daily habit but I cant see any news or an update to the television that tells us about the price of bitcoin or any cryptos but instead I am the one who will search it on Internet to know the current price.

reading bitcoin prices on radio is not exactly the same as advertising it. when you announce the price of the listener will only hear another name with another number, they probably will not bother to think twice about bitcoin and what they hear.

Well in my country I never heard or watched vedios and advertisements about bitcoin.  But I heard new that involves bitcoin in scams.  Inthink if I amnot mistaken this happened early of 2018 when a woman ask for investments in projects. After investigation police offers found out that she actually ask money for the people and telling that if funds invested in bitcoin the money will get double and triple. Ut was over the news for a week and some asking what is bitcoin and do bitcoin exist. So far that was the latest news that I heard about bitcoin in my country.

I think if bitcoin ads are not just on the radio alone I think the public will know and know about what bitcoin is because rural people may not yet be affordable for internet but if via radio or media like television maybe they will know because I think people in the countryside generally already have a television or radio as a tool to listen and know about the news but i think in the television media and not just over the radio should be advertised because the small community will soon know about what bitcoin and cryptocurency ;)

I never listen to the radio so I do not really understand whether bitcoin prices are updated in my country. But as far as I know, it may not because my country is banning bitcoin so that if a radio station does that it will get government warning. But I've seen news on the television that bitcoin price updates and other crypto currencies too. But at the end of the story, the presenter warned not to invest in this risky crypto currency. So I lifted the public news station to give news with the tendency of the government's policy of the country.

For media like tv and radio until now I have not found in my country .. But quite often I find news related bitcoin through online newspaper, website advertising and so on. Perhaps it is very much influenced by the legality of bitcoin itself in my country, if it is legal it might be more media that promote bitcoin on a large scale.
