Change the source code that is used (alt-chain) and voila. Plus there are much more bitcoins than the alt-chains. The supply part is out of whack too. Bitcoin was a proof-of-concept. All we can hope for is it doesnt hit 5. If it hits 5, the floor will drop out and everyone will panic and sell, equals crash, bitcoins worthless.
