why does everyone jump to sell these coins so quick. If you hold of your sell orders you will build demand for the coin raising the price. If you fill the sheet with your sells as quick as possible you flood the market with the coin and the price goes down.

Can someone explain the current market rate? (0.01BTC = 25PX = 40,000 satoshi/PXL)

Let's say PXL has a market cap of $500K USD in the near future with total 2,073,000 PXL coin cap.

Each PXL would then be worth $0.24 USD or 28,750 satoshi (0.00028750 BTC/PXL). Now, this is based on an extremely optimistic outcome, good recognition by media, community, internet, etc. Most on CMC average $500K...

People are already trying to sell the coin 40,000 satoshi and the coin is 1 day old. There's a reason why no one is willing to accept your stupid sell offers

People have different time constraints, required returns, and expectations of how any given coin or market will react. Also, it's not presently possible to control the actions of everyone else and restrict economic free-flow of goods (maybe some coin will do this in the future?). With that said, these various constraints will cause users to monetize their positions from mining by selling the product they mined as quickly as possible. I think this is a GREAT coin and truly unique concept, but I still need to generate revenue from my mining activity, and can't speculate on the future value of this or any coin at the moment. I assume many other "miners" take a similar approach.



How'd you come up with a 500k USD market cap? I could just as easily assume it will be a 100MM USD market cap and have outrageous assumptions on valuation.

I think most people are basing their valuation on the goals set forth in the announcement of a concept comparable to the $1,000,000 dollar website of 2005. Marketing is a pretty big industry. Companies are willing to pay a lot of money each year through various advertising avenues. Owning PXL is effectively owning a piece of internet real-estate. You could even lease your pixel space out to companies if you wanted to (theoretically). I personally think PXL is worth far more than .4btc / 1000pxl, but that's the nature of the business we're in. You're free to buy pixel if you feel it is appropriately priced. Otherwise, you can pass. Up to you.

$500K market cap is optimistic? Just look at most of coinmarketcap. And most of that crap on there is long post dumped stabilized too! Put back to $1M.  :D

in fact 'raistlinthewiz' is a really good account to hack if you are a scammer. the account is pool operator's, reputable, has personal information available. In last few day i've noticed a few disconnects from bitcointalk.org when i opened the page, but thought it was cookie stuff that was messed or somehow bitcointalk was having difficulties.

But i understand then that, I'm hacked, somebody logged in to my account using my password, didn't change it, just used it to scam people and deleted the pm's and post's he used.

Believe it or not but this is the truth. Put yourself here, would you scamming people with a reputable account that had links to stuff that's bound to your real-life information? I guess you wouldn't. Which I wouldn't be doing so.

I suspect that my account password was same with my freenode irc password, and I guess I somehow sent nick identification message to some public channel by mistake and somebody got the password from there to use the account.

another possibility is that as you know bitcointalk was hacked a few weeks ago with man-in-the-middle account, they may have been captured my password during that..

How much is this coin going for per 100?  I am seeing anywhere from .04 - .1 per 100, but i would like to know what people have been actually paying for it.

I sold shortly after I posted this thread @ .01btc/50pxl. Difficulty has continued to increase. Interest in the coin has continued to increase. I'm not locked in on a current valuation, but I'd say it certainly has gone up from .02/100. I'm not selling any more of my stock for less than .04/100.

Tell me why they would go higher? With those crazy sell offers we've already reached a $1M USD market cap. Guys, if you buy @ those prices, you will lose.

I really don't think we will see prices much lower than now. also I highly doubt there is a $1M market cap. reason being is that would put me @ $37,118.15 total pixel value @ market rate. the market cap is probably closer to $39,408 based on the average buy/sell prices since launch. this seems pretty reasonable to me.

might even be some room left to grow...

formula is: coin cap (2M) * btc rate * usd/btc ratio = market cap (in usd)

if this reaches an exchange it will be dumped to death. Most coins on CMC average $500K USD market cap

as of right now the market cap is ~ $39,408 based on the average buy/sell price I have seen since launch. this calc is based off .1 BTC/ 1k PXL. I have bought above and below this rate, I think its a fairly reasonable estimate. (1k satoshi/pxl)

even we assumed some of the more optimistic sell orders out there are being filled, there is no way the market cap is over 100k.

you should be starting with 410500 as the coin cap, that's how many pixels there are right now.

even a high side estimate of the cap puts it ~60k.

so u should probably learn to do calculations before you tell everyone how the coin is overvalued based on your calculations.

**edit** to be clear, if anyone wants to buy my pixels at say...  .001 / pxl (10k satoshi) consider them yours lol... I get what hes saying, I just don't like the math.
