yes you can make your own ltc miner assembling it like that. Maybe choose better components

Hi comienzaBTC,

your Link to CryptoBadger is a good start to build your mining rig...

When you search a good Case for only two GPUs look at "Coolermaster HAF XB (High Air Flow)" or more GPUs take "Aerocool Strike-X Air Benchtable"  ;)

I'm mining with 2x Sapphire R9 280X REV2.0 at each 700kh/s and cgminer 3.7.2 - Undervolting to 10.2V and GPU Clock 1020MHz

greets

Buy the cheapest Case and open it, it has the best airflow :)
It is more noisy, but it works

How about NO CASE? like hang it in air using strings going through the screw holes for best air access? and maybe suround it with airfans outside? Maybe even bladeless fans like Dyson's (This isnt a troll post)
Would that beat watercooling with a case?
Can I watercool without case?

Who needs a case?  One of my rig's case is just made of the boxes the parts came in, and my cards all run under 70 even with full OC.

How much would my second post above idea improve temp? would it beat watercooling in a case? How much better can it be overclocked with lower temps??? :D

You really can't beat water cooling, water transmits heat way better than air. You can make up for it with higher airflow though. In my experience you can't overclock much more with lower temps, but it does keep things a lot more stable. This guy has focused on airflow over any water cooling systems: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=280614.0

Actually i'm of the opinion a frame is better for airflow/stability/mobility and stacking, i've built my own with box aluminium but based on these ones being commercially sold from South Africa: https://openrigs.com/

There's also this guy selling open frames for mining: http://richchomiczewski.wordpress.com/home/trays/
