Title: Does Doge Coin have any chance?
Post by: HemiTruck on January 18, 2014, 01:18:00 PM
I am new to bitcoin and mining. I have a decent graphic card but nothing fancy to mine the satoshis or litecoin. So, I sign up for multipool and I am mining dogecoin at a slow pace. I am wondering if I am just wasting my time and electricity or if there is any chance that this coin may be worth something in the future. Thanks for you point if view and feedback.

Wrong forum section. I think there is one for scamcoins. You will get better advice there.

Wrong section of course, but yes, it certainly does stand a chance. After all, it has more daily transactions than Bitcoin and Litecoin combined! :o

How Kh/s do you have ?
How many coins you can get per day / week ?
How much do you pay for your power bill ?
Consider to buy coins instead to use only 1 GPU.

Dogecoin will increase in value over time but not as much as bitcoin due to its limited uses, also I struggle to see large merchants ever taking the coin seriously and accepting it.  But it has it's niche.

dogecoin no longterm value.  basically litecoin clone. main benefit to mining/buying is that we talk like doges wow! Also awesome has community support reddit!  So many redditers wow buy so much coin I think.

I think dogecoin's value is a flash in the pan.  A really, really funny flash in the pan. I would not hold onto it. Unless you are a shiba inu.  If you are a shiba inu,  you should buy so much dogecoin wow.

Sorry but the answer is no.  What is impressive is their marketing effort.
