So, what exactly is happening here? Why do I find many blocks during one hour, and none in the next? Look at the gap between the block found at 11:46 and 12:38. There also is a big gap between 13:38 and 15:17. And at the moment it is 16:06 over here, with the last block at 15:36.

The hashrate and internet connection have been stable all the time. With other coins I've never experienced something like this?

But wouldn't I then get just less accepts/hour, instead of no accepts at all for about an hour, after which the amount of accepts rises again? This could only happen I think if someone has a very powerful asic, which makes the difficulty increase very fast, but then he stops mining again after an hour or so?

But anyway, I haven't seen the diff rise above 8192, which it is at now.

when hash rate goes down the 168 blocks re-target time is not too hard and too long to achieve and the diff will go down gradually
plus the tera machines are coming out soon

Netx diff retarget will be very very important........if will double...... :'( :'(

the diff should adjust down 2x with low hashrate and long target time span
waiting for diff to go down and release the modified re-target algo code

I hope is a recalculate each block, too high the risk that someone with a high haspower will destroy coin with few miners. (Remember that in the next month a lot of people will have 2TH of power)

No it will be a new release with the diff retarget changed, 168 blocks is too risky and now Chicoin is near "frozen".
1 Person with 1 Terraminer could kill this coin in some hours....but if diff retarget time changes.........problems is resolved.

It's syncs, but it's stopped at 5039 from hours....

if i start from a new installation, new client download blockchain until block 336 and then it stops.

iSpace Pool has been update but no block source ....

could we use the block chain from the pool as block source ?
right now the pool block number is up to 5089 and is most updated

the debug log show message coming from the pool but the checking between the two peer seems unsuccessful and have incorrect proofofwork
will post the detail debug log after job

the block source 172.248.73.130 is now working with new release v0.9.1 and sync with the pool at chi.ispace.co.uk with latest block 5095
resolved the no block source issue by first use the 0.9.0 version to sync at block source 172.248.73.130 and it will update to latest block
and close v0.9.0 client and open and run updated release v0.9.1
ALWAYS backup ur wallet before doing any upgrade !! wallet.dat and peer .dat

currently undergo testing and code check to make sure it will diff up and diff down correctly

the pool might have a different version than the 0.9.3
or somebody use the older version to mine as block node and some how got sync in the pool node

I wish someone with the blockchain would post a node.
Someone went through a lot of work to convert to an sha coin.
I agree with the last person that a relaunch (by developer or community) is really not fair to those who hold coins now.
Hopefully a few people who have the blockchain will just leave your wallets on for a few days and let others get it, then we can see about getting some support for this cool experiment.

I will wait a few weeks, if no one makes an active post here that this coin is alive , I may 'relaunch' a similar sha coin.

I really don't want to see people who mined before lose their coins , I would rather join the network if it is alive.

If I don't see activity here in a while I will assume this coin deceased & would probably lean on a different set of specs if I redesign, rename & relaunch it but I am open to suggestions from anyone who may have something of value to offer.

wtf they made the old coins invalid? I also mined a bit when this came out (6000 CHI and I mined until block 2778 when the ASICs came in) that sucks.

I'm sorry I cannot participate in a relaunch that wipes out the other holders of the coin,  if i could have gotten that blockchain I could have restarted it from where it was, since in active for a while would have moved a little faster, If i develop a project or run a coin I plan to run it permanently.

its false positive from the packing software
0.9.5 has 3 hits compare to 0.9.0 2 hits false positives
uploaded the bin.zip with qt binary and dlls which are all virustotal free
there is no virus in the chicoin-qt no need to worry

blockchain won't download connected to 3 nodes

debug log shows all orphans
