I use the GA-Z68AP-D3. It can run 4X7990 or 3X7990+1X7970. If I use 3X7990+2X7970, one of the GPU can be detected by GPUZ and MSI afterburner. But the frequency shows 0MHz for both core and memory.

I need to jump A1B17pin of PCIEX1_2 and 3. The first PCIEX1 slot does not need shorting.

I use powered riser just in case.

Get the H81, it is purpose built for what you want to do.

i had a very tough choice to make but i chose the h81 pro btc because it has 1 more pci-e slot and seems to have more frequent bios updates i can save bit because i wont need as many powered rises cuz this board has extra 2 molex connectors digi power and 4 phase vs 3 and all capacitors are solid all of which isnt a very big deal the first two are for cpu and the worse electrolytic caps withstand much longer than you normally use a mobo anyway but they might affect stabiltiy minimally.

so in my situation for this board i choose g1820 cpu and 2gb goodram

BUT the other has more features better specs which i dont care about now so i would choose that one if i wasnt getting a gpu mining board.
The same goes for this board which I was also considering http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4783#ov

Also all shops sell the first version of these. It isnt a huge difference in the specs but gigabyte seems to make bios updates only for the newest version.

What convinced me the most was that im unsure of the bios settings stability etc so i thought that  the h81 is prolly be a better choice for mining and overclocking etc
