Title: Tiger Direct Now accepting Bitcoins! Post by: desertfox470 on January 23, 2014, 09:41:45 PM Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I wanted to tell everyone Tiger Direct is now accepting Bitcoins! I think this is really cool. Here is a link to their website. You can also now buy gpu's with bitcoins! http://tigerdirect.com

Title: Re: Tiger Direct Now accepting Bitcoins! Post by: tvbcof on January 23, 2014, 11:45:47 PM This is pretty cool (...but for the fact that I think such developments will ultimately kill Bitcoin...) I think I've bought one or two things from TigerDirect in the past and don't remember being overly impressed, but at least they have an inventory which is a bit more to my liking than Overstock.com. And I am kind of due for a new set of HDD's. I suppose I should wander over there and shop around a bit. Or maybe I'll wait and try to fill in the gap after the initial rush. Among my many rants on the subject over the years: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=334520.msg4691189#msg4691189 Separately, thanks for the feedback on TigerDirect. I honestly don't have any recollection of why I was not left with high marks for them. There may not have been any particularly good reason. Hope not because I do intend to do some of my shopping there (using BTC.) Title: Re: Tiger Direct Now accepting Bitcoins! Post by: BTCisthefuture on January 24, 2014, 01:55:58 AM 2013 was the year of massive speculation and huge price increases(and some crashes) and bitcoin becoming a 'household' name.
2014 is the year of large merchant adoption imo. We are quickly moving away from accepting bitcoin as being a niche thing or soley a publicity stunt for smaller merchants and heading towards an era where eventually some day bitcoin is a common form of payments online. |
