Title: [Supp] Bitcoin.de - the support thread for spanish customers Post by: C. Bergmann on January 25, 2014, 12:42:01 PM Dear Bitcoiners of Spain,
this is the thread for your questions about trading Bitcoins on bitcoin.de. Feel free to ask what you want to ask. Critics and propositions are welcome. If you have problems, I can help you or contact someone who can. I am curious how our business works for you. To my misfortune I am unable to speak spanish. So please let's talk english. Bergmann on January 25, 2014, 06:30:32 PM said to here this. Thank you for the information. Can you tell me about your options and your problems with them? I will send this to our stuff and talk with them ...
we have a forum which has since some days an english section: https://forum.bitcoin.de/forumdisplay.php?f=31 -- Maybe you meet there some other people from spain who have solved the problems ... I heard from swiss customers they went to a notary's office to receive an official authentication document ... but I have to admit this is not ideal. De otro modo vais a perder muchos clientes potenciales.
550 000 000 de hispanohablantes lo avalan. Title: Re: [Supp] Bitcoin.de - the support thread for spanish customers Post by: elbill on January 27, 2014, 04:11:38 PM I was a customer with over 2000 bitcoins sold and over 200 positive feedback, and even then my information and verification of my bank has been insufficient to verify my bitcoin.de account, dont even allowed to close my account. Great service but a complicated policy of verification.
Title: Re: [Supp] Bitcoin.de - the support thread for spanish customers Post by: C. Bergmann on January 27, 2014, 06:49:25 PM Hallo everyone,
our service doesn't aim to cover only germany. We welcome customers of whole Europe. I talked to our support-chief about your verification-problem. We have to comply to Anti-money-laundering laws, for the background. The procedure is we need a "trustworthy third party verifying your identity." A notary is one, but a complicated and expensive solution. Easier are banks or your communal registration office. After we receive the verification document we check it. Usually this is done in 2-3 days. Sorry to say this, but you'll have to leave your laptop :( In germany we have to partizipate in a post-ident-process. This is even more complicated. Quote I was a customer with over 2000 bitcoins sold and over 200 positive feedback, and even then my information and verification of my bank has been insufficient to verify my bitcoin.de account, dont even allowed to close my account. Doing hard to believe this. You can send me a pm with details, I will ask our support.
Title: Re: [Supp] Bitcoin.de - the support thread for spanish customers Post by: C. Bergmann on January 28, 2014, 07:13:59 PM Most online banks perform the verification of the identity by requesting to receive via ordinary mail a photocopy of identity card. The coming and going correspondence (contract signing) certifies the authenticity of the client's address. I know that that's enough, in Spain and also in other countries of the european union. That should be enough also in the case of Bitcoin.de and Fidor Bank. I didn't dive deep inside the verification rules. I am sure, if we could do it easier, we would, cause its in our interest to allow our customers to trade more. I also know mtgox handles it in the way you described. I guess our rules have the intention to be on the safe side regarding Know-your-customer rules. I hope they are acceptible for you Title: Re: [Supp] Bitcoin.de - the support thread for spanish customers Post by: C. - 2-Factor for everyone: we enabled 2-factor for every customer. You have three options: 1) Yubikey (soon you can order the stick from your profile on bitcoin.de) 2.) Google-Authenticator (or some other OTP [one-tokken-password]) on your smartphone 3.) most simply, but not as secure as the other options: email. We send you the tans. - we enabled a "read-only-version": If you enable it, you can loggin without a tan, but only to read. - choose the bank of your trading partner: on your marketplace you can sort the offers due to the bank or banking group. If you share a bank with your trading partner the transaction happens faster - new chart: you see it. If you have questions - I'm here :) - automatic suspension of people which don't pay the check: We received some complaints about traders ordering bitcoins but refuse to pay. Especially with dancing prices this is annoying. Now people who do so repeatedley are automatically suspended. - coming soon: a subwallet for your taxes. After 12 month we give you a confirmation you didn't spend / sold the bitcoins. In germany income from bitcoins is taxfree if you hold them 12 month. Questions are welcome.
