Post by: samiul12 on May 27, 2018, 08:47:24 PM
If it is possible that bitcoin can get as prize money it will be revolution. Is it possible that in many championship or national event bitcoin will be given as prize money?
It also can be given as a achievement or something in TV shows.

Giving Bitcoin as a prize depends on its value for the participants in that award. If I did not know the significance of the Bitcoin, I would be surprised when received 0.5 bitcoin "Looks like it is a low value." which is about $ 4000.
I remember that a television channel asked random participants what better to get one dollar or one bitcoin. The majority chose the dollar because they did not know Bitcoin.

It's already being used as such. Off the top of my head, an artist is essentially giving some away as a prize (http://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-puzzle-artwork-solved-3-years/) for solving a puzzle within his artwork. I'm sure there are plenty of other instances.

I don't necessarily believe that giving some away as prize money is revolutionary. If I were to choose, I'd much rather have more merchants (major commerce giants like Amazon, especially) accept it as payment because it would have a much more lasting effect towards adoption.
