Hello guys and gals , it is certain that the field of trading is very profitable, but regrettably, I have seen many beginners start in this area without any knowledge of the basics. In fact, this class always fails and lose a lot of money because of their hastiness or rashness.

So, according to my experience, I want to give some useful tips, and hope they will help everyone, and will be as the following :

1- Read and learn the basics of trading:

-I think the best way to start understanding this field  is by reading books related to digital currencies,  but unfortunately, the issue that many people  read only the first pages of the book, then they stop.

-Learn how to analyze and deal with different situations ( pump, dump ..) in a smart way. Plus,  try to help yourself  with yourself, Do not complain and ask for help from the others, because no one is in your place. And even if you fail in the first attempts and lose a lot of money, then It is not the end of the world.
Believe me, learning from failed experiences will help you in order to improve your next choices, and you may start to gain a significant proportion of money.

2-Stay away from media news:

Media are always manipulating traders through some false news and even the social media (Twitter, Facebook..), They may even control what happens in the market (crisis, jump), in order to achieve the interests of some (the capitalists) and regrettably, many believe the information and fake predictions.

3- Be patience  and  try to be brave , not afraid:
The field of trading is profitable when you are patient and not hasty like many, and of course you must take advantage of the opportunities intelligently.
Fear is one of the most important obstacles that lead to losses, especially in difficult situations (big crash), like, panic selling...

IMO, Courage is by taking the risk, especially when there is an unexpected event (Big drop).

Nice tips you got there but I think your tips are lacking something. One of the most common mistake a newbie does is to invest in only one coin which in the end leads to loss if that certain coin does not perform well. That being said, you should have had included there this: "diversify your investments. Never invest in one coin only and always remember to not put all your eggs in one basket".

Nice tips, but now i'm in first one main tip for newbies - better don't invest in the ICO. Many scammers in the industry ICO now.

I just wanted to add that experience is very helpful as well. If you do not have any experience in trading I will suggest that before using your real money for trading you try to feel trading by using a demo account. If you are in a rush to trade then do not put in a lot of money. Once you are comfortable then start putting a big money. 

I always advise fellow traders who are new to the crypto world to invest theirselves first in studying and learning the basic principles and tips in the cryptocurrency trading world. Before they invest and put in their money, self-knowledge is important so that they can know how to handle their money and to trade safely and avoid being scammed.

tips for beginners in my opinion is you must be able to control the emotions you have and you should also be able to know the right time to buy and sell coin.

These are the only basic steps for the beginners and newbies in trading. I appreciate your post, we all came from a scratch and this may help beginners a lot. Read, study, research. We have to accept the fact that we started gaining information by just reading. Patience is also basic to say but very hard to implement. Lol. When our emotions are active, we sometimes forget the word patience. That is why self control and managing emotions are important things to work on in trading.

If I may just add up some advice to a starter in this field of trading, just do it when you can afford the money to lose. We may win or lose, but what's significant is that we may afford that amount to be lose.

What I will be very careful in giving tips to a beginner is they must have a very high fighting spirit. never give up and continue to learn to do analysis. With good analysis then a trader will be able to make good decisions. Indeed a trader must have a good experience so that when we fail then we must continue to try it. Wow those books! Lolz.. I never read any book about the crypto currency trading and neither I am expert in it but I do make money out of the crypto currencies. From my experience I have learnt that there is only one way to be good traders, and thats keeping patience, and choosing the right coin to invest. If you have that one in your mind then you can always make nice fortune. Reading books and stuff can confuse people in the long run as in the reality things can change adversely. So its not just about the books but also personal experience and at what you ended up while trading. You should learn from your mistakes and try to go beyond the line if needed. But nice work by posting those name if someone really like reading here.

Yeah, that is more like diversifying the risk and spreading them across different pairs. It is a great tip for beginners though and those books are some pretty good ones for every beginner to make good use of to be able to build themselves in the journey they are trying to embark on. Trading is not a small stuff, as it is amore of a profession and the need to do it right is always necessary due to the risk involved as well.

It is a good tip and with that at least a wannabe trader can know what to expect in trading before even starting. Problem is that a lot of people do not like reading and they are always looking for the easiest way out most of the time when it comes to trading, but one thing everyone should always understand is that trading requires great effort and you do not want to be caught up making wrong decisions every time or getting emotionally involved.

Yes, it is a good tip for investors but not mainly for traders. ICO may be a huge risk, but that does not mean you can stay away but instead find a way to play safe by doing proper diligence before investing into any market. The reason why some people always end up victim of scammers is just because they look at the physical appearance and not the inner one like the team, availability of product and so on.

Still, in trading there is a lot of risk as well, and this is the reason why you still need great knowledge to be able to do it well as well, while including something’s to build up your skills in making good decisions too.

First of all, study the theory in this forum. There is a lot of useful information, look through and ask questions in the topics you are interested in, be active in this forum and you will receive knowledge, a matter of time.

Well, It is certain that in this forum there are many useful information in different fields especially in trading crypto  ,  but regrettably, many do not want to search for the basics of trading  and that's because of laziness in the majority of them, they want everything in an easy way ( easy profit ... ), But that has bad consequences for the traders ( financial losses ).

For a beginner I would say start small and watch out for fomo (fear of missing out).

If you look at the market the past 4 months (well, the past 5 years really) prices go up and down. This is a no brainer, but what i mean is, if you really want coin x, but it has already gone x20 and went like 300% the last couple of days, chances are high that it will drop quite hard soon (correction).

Doing research on coin x is also a good idea (if you have trust in a solid business plan and community, a temporary price loss will not affect you as much).

So time your entries well and remember that in the current market prices will fluctuate and this market in my opinion will stay like this for a while.

The problem with some people is that they just want to earn money immediately because they have seen others earn from it in a short period of time not knowing the experience that they have. I admit that I started trading before without knowing the theories and I watch trading videos but I couldn't understand some terms so I decided to study the basics of trading first. Trading should be a step by step process and it is important to know some background about what you are trading.

You do not necessarily have to stay away from media news but instead make it a reference. Some traders use the news to trade may it be a legit news or just FUD. You have to take into account news because it has a big effect in the price but do not believe immediately what they are saying but instead do your own research about it and trade accordingly.

If you have a trading plan then eventually you will have no problem being patient because you know exactly when to buy and sell if you just religiously follow it but if you don't have one then that would be the problem because you can be persuaded to buy when there is hype and you don't know when to take profit or cut your loss.

I disagree with this postulation. A successful trader should read a media news very often. The problem is that some news are really fake and FUD which are written to make you commit wrong trading actions. A trader should filter the reliable information sources. Almost all of the significant pumps and dumps on the crypto exchange markets were widely elucidated in the media news. Most of these news were concerned to the banning, regulations, etc. A trader should use the information from the reliable media news, and of course discuss the current situation on the specialized forums.

I think the 3 important things you mentioned are enough for the knowledge of new players, if you want more then have to search for articles on google but I think it is not important, just doing 2 things is enough, you should be patient and do not easily affected with people else just that is enough.

the advice is pretty good and I just want to add a little when you've been looking for information in various media please try it because if you do not try you will not know what your shortcomings when getting a mistake in following a bounty or campaign do not make yourself guilty but make it a lesson for the better.

I'd suggest staying away from Tai Lopez, as myself and many people see him as a joke and a basic salesman, he is not a crypto genius, enthusiast is probably the most of his interest into trading. Taking risks is okay, not huge stakes investments though, as you're still a beginner. Patience and not being afraid of failure is also a very important tip, reading a book or two certainly helps.

I disagree it is true there are some small amount of media channels that offer reliable information but as a newbie how are you going to distinguish which is which? I'm agree with most part of it but not about "not following NEWS" , Fundamental NEWS are important whether you like it or not , We can put our head under snow or we can see a bit forward , for example if a coin or token is delisting from Bittrex and you have that coin or token in bittrex and don't know it,You may completely lose that coin or token!

Good start for newbie to understand real market is, very fit with your post. Read book and psychology is not enough with out practice, I suggest you to practice using real money to know the market work and risk. Trade/ invest is not easy way to make money, believe in you and trust no one.

yes, you are right. fundamental news sometimes can be our guide to make a decision and no matter what is the news, we can get prepared for the next thing that will happen. and if there is any news about coin or token is delisting from the exchange, it will make people become panic and you can get something that will useful for you.

Through that experience you'll become a better person because you know what is not good when it comes to buy an altcoin, so i agree with that, if you don't have enough knowledge to do that things ( trading ) make sure your fund that you put in the exchange site is not big capital, lets say $100 so that amount is like your tuation fee to learn how it works.

I'm still a noob (february 2018), but here are my tips, from my experience:

1. ALWAYS take profits! don't expect every coin to go up 10 or 100 or 1000x

2. by all means, don't invest more than you are "comfortable" to lose. invest your spare money, that way is easier to watch your coins go down 70-80%

3. don't buy when you see few green candles, don't buy a coin that is already 30-40%, try not to FOMO (you most definitely will, at least few times, but at least try :))

As a former Forex trader, I would say these rules are a must:

1. Don't trade with money you can't afford to lose.
2. Always use a stop loss.
3. Never hold a losing position open i.e if a trade goes significantly underwater don't continue holding, just close and move on.
4. Never average down - this means if a trade goes bad (like above) don't keep buying as the price falls in the hope that it will eventually rise back up and allow you to escape with a small loss or tiny profit. 9 times out of 10 this WON'T happen, and all you'll do is blow your account.
5. Don't trade without a strategy - a trading strategy is a set of instructions that tell you when to buy, sell, place a stop loss etc. A strategy can be something simple like "buy when the MA crosses the price" or "after a 2.5% drop buy X amount of coin". If you don't have a strategy, DON'T TRADE. Trading without a strategy, however simple, is not trading, it's GAMBLING. Don't do it. (PM me if you need a strategy).
6. Don't revenge trade i.e when you lose money don't place trades to try to make back what you lost. Go and do something else to clear your head and then come back later.

A few more.....

1. Always take some profits as the price rises, especially if an important news event/announcement is close to being made e.g hard fork.
2. Never buy after a large rise takes place - Usually the Whale traders (the people who cause 90% of the major rises) will take some profits off their trades after a big rise occurs (as the rise causes their profit to increase substantially). To take profits they have to sell some of what they bought, so when they do that it naturally causes the price to fall. Which means if you enter a trade after a big rise takes place you won't be entering at a favorable price (because the price will high likely to fall). It's much better to wait for it to fall and then enter.
3. Start off small - If you're new to trading start off by only buying small amounts of Crypto. Only increase size AFTER you've gained experience/become profitable trading at your current size.
4. Watch for reversals near the points where previous reversals have taken place - Usually the price will reverse i.e stop falling start rising/start rising stop falling near the points where it stopped falling started rising etc in the past (this is obvious if you look at a chart). So if you see the price reach a point where it's reversed in the past, get ready, because it might reverse again.

Do not invest in anything you do not understand how it works. If you don't know the system and the way it works, don't invest in it, same principle with coins, do not investing in a coin just because you saw in bunch of places that it will "skyrocket to moon". People here who hold coins keep promiting that coin so it can go up and they can eventually sell it. If one prefers to remain relatively sane investor during the dips and bear market that is the only way. It's in our nature, we all hate to lose even small amounts of money and it's really hard, doesn't matter if one is a trader or an investor.
But you have to be prepared for the FACT that YOU most definitely WILL LOSE some MONEY or even all of it. Crypto has elements of gambling and nerves of steel are very much needed.

Without the knowledge, you will never know what to do, how to trade and how to pick the best cryptos. I think that this is the most useful and wise advice.

Also to be careful with low marketcap coins, in one instance you could see massive 2x-10x profits if your coin starts to moon, on the other you could be stuck with something that'll take 6 months to move a few satoshis. Do your research carefully before plunging headfirst into the s***coin pool!

New investors need a specific investment strategy from the beginning to be able to develop more in the future. Investing in this period is very difficult but I think it will give the investor a lot of valuable practical experience. Take the opportunity when it comes to you and I think cryptocurrency is also a very good opportunity.

Yes, of course good tips for me as a beginner in trading with small amounts, we can take tips from experienced traders who trade for a long time and we can sit with them and see how they make us able to increase the capital we have to understand in Bitcoin , we must often read Bitcoin forums so that it's easy for us to understand.

I think people here would benefit from the discord group I'm in. Especially today as later on there will be charts galore (see my separate post on Firepit Friday) - it'll help you see what it is all about. We only want to stay in trades for a short time and therefore minimise risks or huge dumps. But of course - the more time you can devote to it - the better! For long-term consistent benefits you have to give time to study. There are no shortcuts and this is very good advice for beginners. I also want to add something. Don't think that in a few months you will make money instantly
