Where in the UK are you? I might be interested in picking up if you can upload a screen with your username & the unit hashing...

There are three in that picture, are you selling all 3?

Cheers.

Please explain to a newbie like myslef how come 3BTC is considered a good price for a used Antminer S1 when a new one costs 1.9BTC ?

You will have to wait atleast 2-3 weeks for one at 1.9btc as they are on a chinese new year for the next 2 weeks and then you have to include shipping time as well.

Thanks for uploading the screens.

As highwave has pointed out, BTC3 is way over the top for a used unit I'm afraid, even with next day postage included. I can offer you BTC1.5 - otherwise I wish you luck with your sale  ;D

Peace.

Well some people don't have BTC and want to pay in cash... Also, you wont be able to get one for probably 3-4 weeks and by that time you'll have lost btc waiting.

anyways

VV would you be willing to ship them to the US? If so what are the shipping costs

Isn't the new 200->230 GH/s Bitcoin Miner for £1700 from Mining Hardware a better deal ?

It's in stock and shipped within 7-10 days.

Still overprices IMO but at least it has more GHs, it is new and from a UK store.

Hi, they say they ship in 7 days...where have I heard that before plus who are they (not heard of them) and how good is their hardware?

Antminers have been shown to be EXTREMELY reliable from an established company and has plenty of support on the forums.

Also I can ship tomorrow, or you can collect.

I am happy to negotiate on price, but 1.5btc is ridic.

1.5btc maybe be ridic, but anything over 2btc will be considered expensive.

Nope I hadnt noticed them.

However I have just found out that their units r avalon clones and are very power hungry...1250w overclocked!

Antminers use 400w overclocked.

Quote from their website:

"Typical: 1.2-1.4 GH/s at a standard 0.9V, with 2.05W pre GHs.
Low Power : 1 GH/s at 0.8V with 1.5W pre GHs.
Turbo: 1.5-1.6 GH/s at 1.0V with 2.5W pre GHs."

so for 230GHs it should be 575w - where did you see 1250w ?

Last week I had the option to buy an antminer S1 for 2BTC and didn't buy at the end so quoting myself:

anything over 2btc will be considered expensive.

So thank you, but I will wait for a better deal. :)

Stop using that calculator as some holy grail of future difficulty.  It does not make use of a gradient for network growth.  If you had ran TGB calculator in November of 2012 it predicted the difficulty of January to be 4B with Feb hitting over 8B.

The antminer S1 will make approx. 0.045BTC per day.

That means it will take approx. 13 days to make 0.6BTC which is the difference between the minimum price asked here (2.5BTC) and the  price from bitmain (1.9BTC - assuming the price won't be reduced by then).

I don't know about you but I'd rather get a NEW miner and wait until the 8th of February (12 days from now).

See ? no complicated difficulty/ROI calculations - just simple math and some logic. ;D

I hear that, I still don't see a point in spending the same amount of money, Just to use more electric in those few days, Still, I know you said you wont go lower than 2.5, So I will understand you rejecting this, But I could go 7 coins for the 3 units, Escrowed and shipped (next day) to me, Thats a respectable 2.3 per unit plus just under 0.1 towards postage.
Offer valid till 7AM tomorrow (before you would ship)

I was just trying to be nice.  However now i think about it I can see how it looks.  I joined to make contact with vvknight.

In buying from vvknight I was able to get an ant on the same day as others who had ordered from china.  OK I had to pay a little more for the privillage, however I am a noob who don't wanna get scammed, I dont have BTC yet and am certainly not brave enough to send BTC around the world to a stranger  I knew I needed to act fast, I was able to do a good old fashioned deal, see the ant working before parting with cash, worth the extra to me, and no VAT too.

I do not care if the price is now 1.43BTC.  By the time the factory opens and i get one delivered the diff will have changed along with the game and I might be able to afford two by then.

rammy2k2 I may already have the ant for sale with bids higher than i paid, knowing that i will not have to dispatch the ant for at least another 7 days, one could be looking at least a %50 profit within a few weeks.  It appears there are many ways to make money in this crypto game.  Those of us who did not get in at the start have to learn and make gains where possible so we can upgrade our rigs.

This is entirely correct.  Look at the BFL Jalys when they came out people buying them for 3-4k on ebay.  Now the other poster offering $25

Yep, its irrelevant that its 1.45 now, you wont get it until the 12th of February and 2 weeks in this game is a long time.

Anyway mods can you please close this thread down, I have sold the ant now. Both me and the buyer are happy.

Also put a stop to these idiots putting their nose into other peoples business.
