Title: thebitcoincore.org (BTCC) is the new bitcoincash.org (BCH)
Post by: JollyGood on May 30, 2018, 09:20:34 AM
With 1TB blocks it seems they have done to Ver what Ver tried to do with Bitcoin but without having the bitcoincash.com domain  ;D

https://hype.codes/coingeekcom-funds-eu36-mln-scale-bch-1-tb-blocks (https://hype.codes/coingeekcom-funds-eu36-mln-scale-bch-1-tb-blocks)

"CoinGeek.com, the cryptocurrency media outlet and blockchain company, announced on Monday that it is funding of up to 3.6 million Euro to support Terab, an open source initiative that will solve a key technical issue to enable the Bitcoin Cash chain to massively scale to terabyte size blocks and 7 million transactions per second. The Terab project will be managed by Lokad, the French quantitative supply chain technology provider, and will receive technical support from nChain, the blockchain research & development specialist."

Does that mean we can start calling BTCC the real BCH Bitcoin Cash as long as Ver keeps calling Bitcoin Cash the real Bitcoin?

I guess Vers followers and whole BCH can't call real bitcoin the bitcoin core now if this was the whole idea of these guys that made bitcoin core. I mostly see this as some kind of a joke as there is not many information regarding BTCC like who is behind it and all that stuff. This could also potentially confuse the public even more because of the fact how much cryptos have "bitcoin" along their name. Not many information regarding this coin either.

Nice, I just want to see the face of the average user when he tries to sync his client and has 200 GB of data waiting.
My old computer was having troubles because of the HDD with 1MB blocks if I left it unsync for more than a week, image what a 1GB block would do to your HDD. 1 TB, that's going to be nice...

Probably Samsung will start spamming the network as each cent in spam would mean another 1000 SSD for the nodes storing the full chain  ;D ;D

With 1 terabyte blocks, there will be only SPV nodes for users. All full nodes will be in total control of bitmain or large corporations. This is not trustless blockchain, it's worse than banking system.

Electrum wallets and servers would be a great solution for that issue :)

1TB block? Are you sure?
If you want to decentralize it means that you need to think as generic user who can afford the disk to store and secure the block chain.
Can you imagine when they want to sync the block chain and the data we are talking about is 1TB per block?
Rule in this forum is: never full retard! :p

Electrum servers sync immediately without the need to download blocks

jes you are right,

BTCC is the true BCH

and BCH is the true BTC

sooner or later this will wreck the entire cryptoindustry and the decentral pow coins

in india people sold BTG as BTC to farmers, and run away with it people are abusing the confusion, in the end there will be no trust left anymore, and no one will wont it.

the opposition against state legislation has its consequences no way you can now corrupt the system to fight it

this is the oldest trick in the book my friend. it is called capacity not reality. for example there are altcoins that have such fast blocks but as long as these blocks are empty having fast confirmation means nothing. the same with block size. it can be 100 kB or it can be 100 trillion MB (capacity) in the end they are still producing 100 kB blocks (reality) so yeah everyone will sync happily and newbies feel awesome.

did you know BCH had 8 MB and now 32 MB blocks and also it has produced more blocks than bitcoin but still bitcoin blockchain is bigger than BCH blockchain?

Not much going on in this thread.

Is the project still alive?
