If you are not familiar with what this is, cryptostocks is a site in which you can buy fee shares that coinex.pw generates via its exchange and mining pools. You can make a profit in two different ways,
1) the value of your early purchased shares will increase as the later released shares will be climbing from .04 BTC each to .12 BTC each, and
2) you will begin earning dividends on all of your purchased shares that you hold coming up soon in May 2014.

A total of 25% of all fee shares will be offered to the public in this way. Therefore, if you were to buy all 100,000 available public shares, you would earn 25% of all CoinEX exchange and mining revenue, and also be able to sell those shares that you own. Meaning you both hold growing value and earn monthly income on the number of stocks you hold.

For example, if CoinEX collects 100 BTC in trade revenue, each share would receive 0.00025 BTC" (taken from the cryptostocks offering) ==> there is no word on earnings from pool mining. Is it going to be included in feeShares? If yes, add this info to the offering doc.
2) What is your current overall volume? (for last month/week)
3) What are your earnings from mining for last month/week (in case it's included in the fee shares)

I have these same questions!

I see #1 has been updated and changed on cryptostocks.
As for mining volume, I can see the current rate for SHA-256 is around 27 Th/sec and Scrypt is like 560 Mh/sec. (pool + switchpool).

I don't know the exchange volume but I can see it has been growing quite a bit lately. A few months ago, I remember there was very little volume.. but it seems to be increasing now.

80 000 shares at 0.04 btc = 3200BTC which is 20% of the entire coinEx shares.
So CoinEx is about 16000BTC worth ???
16000BTC is about 14 400 000 $
I am not sure it worth it.
And I am sure it's not going to be sold out any time soon (considering Cruptsy shares history)

In addition: "The first payout will begin in May 2014"  - So, no need to hurry buying :)

That's OK.
But some more details about current volume would help people to make an estimation/decision.

Sounds about right to me, Scharmbeck is .05 BTC x 1,000,000 shares = $45 M, Cryptsy is currrently .19 BTC x 500,000 shares = $85.5 M and so on. Was up to $171 M a month ago. Big numbers I know, but did you know that places like BTC-e have days where they make over $100k? And that's in one day. I can see CoinEX competing with Cryptsy very soon.

Note that 100,000 shares of cryptsy represents 20% of their revenue. That's how I got to the 500,000.

Have you seen the dividends Scharmbeck is paying? :)) Their ROI at current price is what? about 1000 years :)) does Not sound right to me. +++ now I see that they have not payed dividends in January at all :)

In case of coinEx it might be right , but I need some more details to see it.

I did some quick calculations based on cryptsy current payouts

45 BTC since okt 25th = 45 BTC in 3months = 15 BTC a month paid out.

15 BTC / 100,000 shares = 0,00015 BTC per share per month.

This will never be profitable, unless volume goes through the roof.

yes, you have few problems with your math:)

the first one is: only 7,948 shares were sold and now are held publicly (not 100000)

another greedy stock sale, they want all the money from investors but don't want to give up ownership and profits.

A valuation of close to 20million? Ouch. I'd like to be as much of a dreamer as you..... i don't even think btc-e is worth that much....

I think it's speculating on the future of cryptocurrency. Just like buying coins. The price you pay now may be high if you compare it to current revenues, but im betting it will be worth it in the longer run.
I think the whole digital currency happening will get bigger and bigger and so will early investors. In currency and platforms. And next to that its a tradeable stock also, so a nice profit is possible there also.

I don't believe you're thinking correctly about stocks vs. dividends. I bought several Volkswagen stocks in the past. The value of the stock went up and I made money. Along the way, I earned dividends as a bonus. If you spend $50,000 on a stock and expect the dividend to pay you back in full, you may not understand the purpose of those dividends, they are meant to be a bonus, not a complete ROI.

As an example, I believe everyone that bought Scharmbeck and Cryptsy early on made money, not including making dividends.

And I think that you do not see difference between Stocks as FeeShares (leave a side Volkswagen and coinEx difference)  :))

I now exactly what the volume of Cryptsy is every week
I know what the ROI of Cryptsy is.
And I know that Cryptsy's volume got higher about 15 times in last two months

Can you say all above about coinEx???

Just so you know, as you may already... a nice dividend payout is about 2 - 3.5% on average for an established company.
As an example, here are dividends based on the DOW Jones Industrial Average.

Now if you are expecting any company dividend (Cryptsy, CoinEX or Volkswagen) to ROI on dividends alone, you will be waiting a while.
I'm sure after 35 years of waiting, your stock would either be worth an exponentially higher amount, zero, or you would have long since sold the stock at a profit.
Dividends are meant to be a bonus to stock holders, not a short-term ROI.

If you have reason to believe a company will become more successful then they are today, invest in their stock, let it go much higher over the next few quarters or longer, accept the dividends as bonus and multiply your investment later by selling. If you are looking for a company that pays out enough in dividends to cover your original investment in a few years, move to another planet. Lol, just kidding on that last part, I couldn't think of a good sentence to finish that up. But basically, you don't judge stock growth potential on dividends, and they aren't meant to ROI short-term at all. I own many stocks that pay zero dividends, but still make money.

I somewhere in my mind switched bitcoins and dollars but 1 share is only 0.04 btc. So you get into the range of your table.

Glad to be of service sir. Just that so many familiar with Bitcoin, but not necessarily the stock market, do such a good job at convincing others something they do not know too much about. I don't mean to be rude to you stas, I'm really talking more about some other people on Bitcointalk.

The risk in crypto is far greater, so rewards must naturally, be higher.

Hehe, you must not have heard of the companies General Motors, AIG or Fannie Mae. But seriously, penny stocks are even more risky to me; I've lost so much on penny stocks. Maybe just my luck ;)

I see all of the 24hr BTC volume listed on the Market Volume column. Not sure if you have to be signed in or not. DOGE alone was like 150 BTC's last night. Seems to be doing better than cryptsy's volume 6-9 months ago. Interesting to see who outdoes who, though cryptsy has a head start. I'm a little biased since I had a lot of money stuck at cryptsy for like 3-4 weeks during their mess in December.

 after seeing the calculation from this post, i sold my shares at 0.03999999, maybe buy back next month, see how it goes ;D ;D

They usually take months. But should multiply your money. I've bought many cryptostocks and it's not a day trade, like altcoins. But CoinEX I believe in long term... they will be the new Cryptsy V2, and those stocks will be .3 BTC and up.  ;)

Who are CoinEX? There are no details what-so-ever about who owns CoinEx. Where they based? Just a little info like a verifiable address would be nice. I would more inclined to invest if they operate under US, EU, or UK law. Otherwise, I'm staying well away.

by the way - what is "customer service" like for cryptostocks ?
How long does it take for email do be replied to ?
Their facebook site is totally dead.

Why would I invest in any IPO on the CoinEx exchange when you will not respond to my support ticket of missing coins that I tried to withdraw that never made it to the destination?

we have to clear some issues with our cat client before i can answer all cat tickets.

There are some problems with withdrawing BitCoins on MtGox.  Altcoins have the same issue. I guess you should pay attention on how MtGox will resolve it and do the same.

What's going on with CoinEX on cryptostocks?  The order book is empty and there aren't any new announcements.

Yes, what is going on?
When trying to sell "IPO active, you can only place buy orders at the current ask price." error message comes up.

I'm more concerned with the fact that coinex.pw has been in "maintenance mode" with a "security issue" for the last 20-24 hours...

Gues we gonna lose some coins here :)

When is this IPO going to stop ?
You are selling less than 1 BTC per week. There is 247.6 BTC left.
If you wait for all the shares to be sold, it will take about 4 months.

Also why no dividend has been paid since 26 Jan ?
