Title: Solo Mining w- CUDAMiner - How Do You Receive Payment? Through Open Wallet?
Post by: gandar on January 28, 2014, 06:59:32 PM
Hello all. Brand new poster to the forum but long time reader.

I used the search function but wasn't able to ind an answer to this question.

I am using CUDAMiner to mine for a lesser coin.

Will Cudaminer tell you when a block has been found and will a payment of coins be automatically transferred into my open wallet?

If so, in technical terms, how does that work (how does cudaminer communicate with the open wallet and the alt coin company know when to make a payment?)

Thank you for your wisdom and sorry if this is a dumb question or covered topic.

I'm not as much into the technical aspects of things but I get this much:

The wallet is constantly updating itself with the blockchain (as it's running). When your miner finds a block,  it becomes a transaction on the network and a transaction is created to credit the block reward to you (You login via the wallet and IP 127.0.01). The amount will appear in the wallet as "Mined".

I've mined Franko coins before, the wallet open and the miner open. You can't mine without the wallet being open, it's the gateway to the network. A message will appear in the miner indicating Block Found and the wallet will show a credit.
