Look for a really good ICO project, in the sense that the project is very useful for everyday activities. And read, understand whitepaper, goals, vision, mission of the project. Usually if a professional project will refund you if the project fails. So you have to know who the members of the project team.

Not all ICOs are scam as speculated by most people. You can invest in ICOs and make some gain in future. For instance an ICO such as https://yumerium.com is one of the best ICOs in the crypto space. However you have to carry out a due diligent search  to verify authenticity of the project. Thanks

ICO are the best place to invest for larger profit. Do some research before investing in an ICO. It would take time but it's not difficult to find a good ICO.
Look for attainable project, visible development, real world involvement, some people or some work you could verify personally, clear economic model, news on traditional medias (not the sponsored ones.) and community.

Depends on how well do you want to earn and what risks are you willing to take. Of course, investing on ICO has higher risk compared to doing bounty. Because participating on ICOs would require you to risk your time, money, effort, and the most important of all although some don't require this, your identity (through KYC) so there's a lot to lose in case the project is a SCAM. Bounties would just ask your time and effort for a little exchange, so there's nothing much to lose but a lot to gain.

There might be some ICO projects managed by scammers but also you can find out a few  promising ICOs if you research well.
Do not trust and put your money into any ICO blindly, before investing you should check roadmap, look how good is the developers team behind the ICO and check other aspects so that you will not get scammed

Yes, participating in an ICO is a great alternative investment.

The do's when investing in an ICO,
1. You should know how ICO works
2. Be sure to be active in the crypto community (btctalk, reddit etc.)
3. Be updated in the news (especially the project that you're investing on)
4. Read the project's whitepaper
5. Do a detailed research on the project(background of the team, etc.)

I think you have made a very good decision to want to invest instead of selling, I think ICO is a good investment option but just as you have said there are truly scams so I will advice that before you choose an ICO to invest in make sure you read the whitepaper of the ICO very well to be sure they are worth the investment. Don't invest in an ICO that are too ambiguous in their figures, they may not be able to meet the target they have set and hence loss of investment.

In my opinion ICO is a great way to invest and get much money but you are right, there are a lot of scammers among them. So, before investing you should research the backgrounds of all team members including profiles on social media, thoroughly read the white paper and ask a qustion to yourself "Do you believe in the idea and its potential?". If everything is ok then you can invest, I think

ICO is never a bad move but you need to consider a lot of things so that you will have security with your investments. You said it yourself that you've heard a lot of scams when it comes to ICO so I highly suggest that you find a coin or token to invest in which has a very good performance in the market. I can recommend some few promising altcoins that could give you decent profit in the future.

Here is my top list of altcoins:

1.IOST
2.EOS
3.XMR
4. DASH

Always remember to invest an amount that you can afford to lose.

Hi,
Generally, choosing what to do with your money should be yours. Yes, there are quite a few ICO projects that prove to be a scam. But if you do a good research, you can find what will prove to be very good. There are projects that achieve unique successes. But finding them is not so easy. I would personally assess on how much capital I have and would invest in an ICO.

Good luck  :)

Not all ICO projects are scam, there are still genuine projects around. However, you have to research well before investing. The ROI will take longer time to achieve since it is a new project, hence you must be prepared to hold for a longer period.

icos can be rewarding, but dun put all ur eggs in one basket. i would keep some of my eth/btc. and i would do A LOT of research before investing into any project.

i prefer to evaluate them on some form of the following. scam projects fail on too many points below it's easy to spot from a mile away.

Hype:
twitter users
reddit posts
telegram members
discord members
responsiveness/truthfulness of moderators in these channels

Fundamentals:
Availability of MVP
Team strength (number of experts in the field; linkedin profiles)
Whitepaper originality/technicality/clarity
Independent reviews
Partnerships with corporates/academia
Use-case strength
Clarity of roadmap

Others:
Existing Competition (other coins in the same space? how established are they)
Regulation Risk (does it have security characteristics?)
Hardcap (is it asking for too much money for its use case?)
Share of tokens distributed (are the founders/team keeping too much for themselves, escrow?)

Of course you can invest in some ICO project. It will be worth it if you think this project can bring you more profit in one year, for example than the ETH or BTC that you are invested. If this is not like that, it going to be an unjustified risk, I think.  ???

I wouldn't recommend investing in an ICO is you are new regarding this field. Investment is pretty risky and if its in an ICO, the risk is triple. This is not being exaggerated but investing in an ICO is very much risky. Scams are everywhere. ROI is not guaranteed. Who would invest in that? So I think this is more like of a gamble than an investment.

ICO's could be worth it, if you choose the most reliable and profitable one. But it might be worthless also if you don't take it seriously in choosing the best ICO. That's why you have to make a lot of research first about the ICO project that you'd like to invest, to avoid of losing a lot of money and regretting later.

ICOs maybe is too risky to get into. We don't know how ICOs could really survive And you said there are too many scams. This is part of the risks of getting into it. I think the best way to participate in ICO is to really spent more time examining details like the team, their plans as shown in their whitepaper, and the contract address to where your coins will be deposited. There are smart contracts that returns your money once they will declare failure. So this is very good.

In the sense that the product can already be used and will bring the impact of such great benefits to investors who have supported the project. Remember to learn the whitepaper of the project in detail and see it's project rating on a trusted ICO site. Hopefully help and the decision remains in your hands.

I think that would depend on the ICO you are putting your investment. First things first, need to check thoroughly the ICO, it's platform, whitepaper and the team of the ICO should be considered before doing so. However, if you prefer to minimize the risk of your investment, you may go for the existing alternative coins in the crypto market. Atleast, these coins are in the market for a longer time and it's market performance can be easily checked mainy on the price chart history record.

We all know that there are scam ICO but I have seen that the rate of scam ICO this year is very low. If you invest in about ten ICO's just know that it is not all of them that will succeed and not all will be promising even when the token is listed in an exchanger, So expect to make gain in 5 out of the ten you have invested.

The main advantage when you participate in ICO is that you can buy their coin at discounted price. Investing in ICO is good as long as you invest in a good one.  You should perform your own research to ascertain that the ICO is a good project.  You should join their official communication channels such as Slack or Telegram to receive the latest updates and ask questions directly to the developing team.

You are right. There are lot of scam ICOs. So you should learn how to analyze ICO before investing. In any ICO you should check the project first. What are they want to do, if it has any potential. Also see their private sale and pre sale progress. How successful they are in those events. Read their whitepapers. Good ICO will deliver top notch presentation. Also investigate the members.

I love exchange tokens because they provide passive income!

Good day fellow investors,

I have some spare eth and btcs and I am searching for an alternative way to invest, is ICO really worth it? and if it is, I heard there are scams, what can you recommend I should do?

Regards.

I had invested in an ICO and it did not turned so well in my favor. It always came to me that I should not have invested because of the price change in Bitcoin. I should've had more profit holding than investing.
In fact, Investing in an ICO is profitable as long as you invested in the right ICO. They will say that research helps, it does but everything will not turn out in our favor. There are ICOs that is promising but in the end turned out to be scams. At this market, we cannot be too certain.

If I will choose, I'd rather hold than invest in ICO.

I believe in  Productivist ICO.  Productivist offers supply chain management which will not only search for the right local supplier, at the right price matching the timescale according to the Client’s needs but also has a means of tracking the process, monitoring it by means of an App.

Before you start invest you must know that there is many risk when you choose to invest in ICO. And the biggest risk is SCAM. You must learn first how to choose good one. Beside that, some ICO can failed in the middle way so you must ready when it come. I think it's better to invest in strong coin in long term than just gambling with ICO.

Even if an ICO doesn't turn out to be a scam, there are a lot of cons of investing in ICOs.
The first and foremost is that the moment ICO will be listed on any exchange, the price wouldn't be as much as you paid during the ICO or pre ICO. That obviously is very disappointing to see.
Second like you've mentioned, a big percentage of ICOs turn out to be scams and it breaks the trust of all the investors out there when such companies run away with people's money.

The right question is,do you really know the field of ICO?because if not better stay away from this because they are really good in misleading people, making them believe that they are useful and functional, legit and reliable but after you have invested, they will gone with the wind so think of many things before putting money into it

That is mainly due to all investors who have got coins with some bonus will dump their coins to take a quick profit so most of these new coins price will go down after the exchange listing. But those coins which have got a very high demand may do better but very difficult to find out those so-called good coins to invest. These days I'm buying coins only from exchanges after listing the coin.

There are really risks in investing, even this icos that really have a great features suddenly turned scammed. Like everyone else is saying, only invest what we can afford to lose.

ICO is attractive due to the volume of the audience and the speed of fund-raising, in turn, ICO promises a high profit for investors, which you can take a chance. ICO is similar to IPO – the initial placement of securities on a stock exchange. In the case of the ICO, the process is as -cryptocurrency or blockchain start-ups announce the collection of a certain amount, after which a new cryptocurrency is distributed among investors in accordance with the amount of each investor’s contribution
The reason to invest in ICOs, may be the possible high returns .Here are some example:
The most profitable ICO at the moment is the placement of Stratis. From June 2016 to September 2017, these tokens showed a yield of (more than) 151,082 percent.Spectrocoin , Since November last year, its cryptocurrency has grown in price by 18,700 percent.
Storj decentralized data storage service) showed an increase in the price of tokens by 12,000 percent.
Golem, which tokens in less than a year rose in price by 5000 percent.
Please remember , there are as well, ICOs which have completely failed, with numbers ranking much greate

We can not restrict scam and fake projects, but you can use the exclusion method and verify the authenticity of the project. Few projects have roadmap and investment, as well as strict management for development. ICO is one of the most charismatic ideas, the opportunity to increase and improve profits quickly. You should read some of the key ideas and trends of the future.

Investment in a ICO is always risky. Because you never know the future of that project. If you are interested in a project then buy tokens when they are listed on an exchange this will minimize your chances of lose. Finding a potential ico is another challenging thing.  I suggest you to go for the coins which are already listed on exchanges and have good market cap.

Despite the fact that investing in ICO is a risky thing, I think it's also a nice option to earn, although finding a worth project to put your money in is challenging. Nevertheless, such projects are out there, you'd better find them)) I can recommend you to read about Fantom. It's a very serious project, and it's really difficult to get into its whitelist (only 2k members, but there are 40k of people who want to take part in it). Another nice project is Asura. it's a neo-based ICO, the Asura World platform acts solely as the platform provider on which users can host, compete, and interact with each other in a number of ways.
but this is only a recommendation, you'd better double check every recommendation you get)) https://asuracoin.io - here you can find detailed information about Asura project.

Like other forms of investment, opportunities and risks exist for the ICO. The scope of ICO is getting wider as more and more gadgets and products are created. It is also more competitive. But just find the project quality, prestige, serious with development. You will really surprise with the profit generated after that. That is also the most attractive feature to attract large investors in the ICO.

Only invest what you are willing to lose. Dont put your money all in one basket. Proper financial planning is important in every investment we make. Try looking in in SafeCrypt.io. A high security exchange that has high standards of quality and every piece of software is being tested multiple times before they make it publicly available.
I spent some time to study SafeCrypt ICO. I think this ICO could become one of the best this spring, because of several reason:
 1. This is cryptoexchange. And this cryproexchange has some advantages compare to existing ones: instant transactions, lowest fees, absolute anonimity, large select of crypto assts and others.
 2. They lead very good ICO policy.
 3. THey have Adequate and reasnable bonus rates.

Personally I would steer clear at the moment, very few projects are hitting the exchanges above their ICO price. Better to find projects you are interested in and scoop them up at a better rate when they reach the markets. I'm sure there are exceptions, but they seem to be few and far between at the moment. Confidence is in short supply, at least short term anyway. I've managed to pick up a couple of coins I was interested in at way below their ICO price (unfortunately not before I got burned myself though). No reason you still shouldn't be doing your research though, still plenty of potential out there, it's just going to take a bit longer for investments to pay off.

Yeah! Why not?

We should not worry too much about the current ICO project that scammers a lot. With more care then we will get a legit project.
Surely we must have a basis in advance to determine it, such as a review of the project, both in terms of objectives, roadmap, team structure and its ICO structure.

And my advice should not be too easy to believe in a person's judgment of a project, because the judgment is relative, and it could be just to incite rather than invite.

You should follow the exchange rate to be able to invest at the time of billion prices at the bottom.

True with the increasing number if ICOs turning into scam it will be hard for investors choose which ICO they will be investing.  They will likely have a doubt and the risk seems bigger.  Any investors will not just invest in any coin that they think have the potential to grow and will be an interest for others to.  As much as possible,  they would invest on the coin with the highest possible profit.

ICO is a good idea, but currently there are too many unsuccessful projects or scam projects members, you should choose and consider when investing!

Yep thats true. maybe we should look not for the ICOs but for the existing projects. Many ICOs are scam but ones who aren't may do a great product as for example REMME. In my opinion, they are doing great! have a look at their site!

In wouldn't say that you should, because there are other options like participating in bounties. But ICO investment does produce huge profit as long as the project becomes a success particularly with its ICO. But like I've said "as long as the project becomes a success." Which means there is also a huge possibility that they will fail. It's really up to you. If you're bold enough to take the risk, then do it!

If you would like to invest in ICO, you can find a project for investing and make profit from it. However, before investing in a project, you must carefully consider about that project because perhaps you will loose your initial investment. Firstly, you should have knowledge for yourself about cryptocurrency market, know how to realize, identify what is a good or a bad project, which depends on criterion such as: projected team, white paper, sectors for investment, hard cap, soft cap, advantages of that project compared to others in the same field. Good luck to your investment!

Investing in ICO is very profitable but very risky because some ICO are scam. But you can lessen the risk by reviewing, studying and researching the whitepaper of your chosen project.

The best thing to do is perform a personal research on the project before investment. Know about the authenticity of the project by reading the whitepaper for the idea behind the ICO. Some ideas should give you a certain level of assurance that project will be successful or not. Read about the team members and their credentials too. Find out who the advisor is.

It is a good idea to invest in ICO since the price of the tokens are still low. It is a good chance actually for all the investors out there who have spare coins like you. But if you want to invest in ICO, much better if you research first the ICO you're investing to. There are some websites that rates ICO try to check them out.

Dakuce project focuses on providing a powerful cryptocurrency trading platform, which not only involves cryptocurrency exchange but also other great services. We have deployed DApp and smart contracts based on blockchain technology where cryptocurrencies are
exchanged for fiat currencies. Investing in our trading platform will reward you with heavy discounts on trading fees at our platform and high returns on Dakuce token. Dakuce is a decentralized exchange platform with security being paramount guaranteed to all the traders. On Dakuce platform all the cryptocurrencies are on real market rates and hence involves no manipulation in it.

How it will be a better way to invest in crypto currency ? Even some projects are giving good returns for our investment, many projects are turning scams after some time of their life cycle. ICOs are just another opportunity in this crypto world hence we must need to invest with them very carefully.

Risks are always there so we must invest only what we are afford to lose. Those people who are spending more time for finding out good project, might be getting good returns for their investments. People who are simply rushing for ICO contribution, definitely will burn out their hands.

Actually you have a lot of fertile land to be a place of investment. Not necessarily investing in ICO. Indeed now many ICO are just deceiving. If you really want to invest in ICO then choose ICO appropriately. You can read the ICO website or whitepaper thoroughly so you have a thorough understanding especially for the chances of success of the ICO project. If you are unsure of investing in ICO then you can hold your crypto currency while you learn about trading. You can do daily trading only if you do not want to risk following ICO. The key to your daily trading should have a smart play strategy and do not be careless.

ICO investment is indeed profitable. The risk involved larticularly with scams is unpreditable and that's why an investor should be careful on choosing projects. Much better if there'll be consultants from other people before joining or investing into a project. In that way, the risk will be lessen. ICO's produce huge amount of profit considering they become successful with their token sales. Meaning, being able to reach their soft cap and hard cap. Projects hitting their hard caps usually gain market value through time. Whether or not to invest in ICO's is always a personal decision. There are lots of risks involved in any investment and ICO's are not exempted. As always, we should do our research before jumping into anything.

Look for attainable project, visible development, real world involvement, some people or some work you could verify personally, clear economic model, news on traditional medias (not the sponsored ones.) and community.

Thank you for your advice since Im a newbie, I will research for a certain ICO that is profitable in my part, The ICO foundation and the team behind the ICO are what Im going to assess before investing.

But entering the cryptographic market requires some adventurous. In my opinion, you should do a research before investing in ICO.

from investments in ICO, not only developers, but also investors benefit. developers get the opportunity to put tokens at the expense of investors to bid for them to rise in price, and investors, buying initially tokens for the minimum price, can after auctions sell them more expensively. It is noteworthy that tokens can grow up to 600%!

ICO is actually very legit and promising to invest. However, some notes must be learnt. We must analyze the ICO whether they have good concept and team or not. If you are sure that the ICO is very promising, just invest in ICO. I have some experiences that I hold my coins from ICO for more than 1 year and the result is awesome.

Before you jump in with real money, you should make a mock investment or a very small token investment, evaluating the opportunities that you consider to be most promising, and then track the token price from the pre-ICO stage to the post-ICO stage, and then watch to see what happens to the token value as the project moves to commercialization. Finally, you will make a decision whether invest or not.

Ico is always a risk. It can be good or not. The team can run away with the money after the Ico. You have to be very careful. I invested in a new exchange this month. 0.5 ETH at Telluria. That's not much money. But only a little risk. I think when the project starts you can make a lot of money like you used to with Binance

Investing in ICO is your contribution to the development of the crypto currency and, accordingly, to the development of your deposit, it seems to me that you need to invest despite the fact that the market is currently experiencing instability, or rather, a very stable decline, but this is a temporary effect.

You should select project carefully, investment might be good, some projects are really promising, but it is some kind of lottery, so some research is needed before investment.

You should look through rating platforms, for the first step, for example - www.icoguide.com, I am often looking at their rates and they seems to be trustworthy.

Planning to invest in ICOs is a very good decision but there are certain things that you have to note about ICOs to ascertain its authenticity before you go ahead and invest. First of all read the entire whitepaper and get to know more about the project and what they wish to do by looking at its vision, mission, the identified problem and the proposed solution. You must also consider the feasibility of the project whether it will be achievable. Again, you must also consider the team members who are behind the project and know whether with their fields of specialty they can actually see to the success of the project. Not forgetting to check whether the team members are not being faked about the project. some projects would present high profile team members who are not even aware that their profiles are being used as team members of a project.
Currently the two top ICOs that i would recommend you join and invest massively into is Kimera Systems and WEMARK. I wish you all the best in your investment plans.

Anyway, 2018 has not been very kind to ICO's, I suggest that you study the previous ICO returns and their performance after they got released on exchanges before burning your money.

You need to choose ICO yourself, do not listen to anyone, do a full analysis, reinforce the team, study the project with fullness and if you think that the idea is very good. In conclusion, the selection process became more rigorous, so the purpose of the project and team can be considered as the basis for choosing a good ICO.

I suggest to make some research first to prevent joining scam or fake ICO because most project nowadays is copy paste from legit project which is turn to ponzi after thi initial coin offering, so much better to seek some information first. Which is you can obtain more information about the project, such their social media sites and etc, where more people or investors sharing their experiences about the project.

I would prefer investing in altcoins over ICOs. This is because usually altcoins have already proven their worth so there is a higher chance of being successful. ICOs may just be starting but they can prove their worth later and soon can be profitable.

ICOs are inspired by standard initial public offering, although in habit they are very different. The simplest way to understand an ICO is that it abide of crowdfunding on top of a blockchain. Investors buy tokens which are typically meant to be an essential part of the application that the startup wants to build.

The name of the project is DAKUCE! Dakuce is a crypto-exchange startup striving to achieve exceptional results through the involvement of the customers. It has all best features of top exchanges and some additional advanced options.
The ICO is now LIVE and ends on 12th of july 2018! Do research and take your decision wisely! You can also checkout their official website https://dakuce.com/

My friends suggested me to invest in Tourist Token (TOTO) ICO, I ignored and laughed at him, because that ICO Project looks garbage to me. But now my friend earned 1400 USD By investing only 97 USD! Just unbelievable.
And, I thought hashcard ICO will take big hit, I trusted the Hashcard Project but Hashcard scammed Us. So, it is really too tough to find a good ICO. But if you see them, of course, you should invest in ICO.

certainly it is still a good chanel to earn money. However, you also take care and research carefully before choosing. Because there are too many fake projects in the market now. I suppose you invest in DAICO projects. they are safer
Investing your money into ICO is not a bad thing but investing at a wrong place is something which can result in loss of money and that you must be careful while choosing any of the project as the entire earning will then be dependent on this one decision. So, it is better to think and study well regarding all the projects and then you can choose any project which seems interesting to you.

But if you want to invest in ICO, much better if you research first the ICO you're investing to. There are some websites that rates ICO try to check them out.

It always depends on the ICO you will choose. Very often, some luck and intuition help you make the right choice. Those guys that invested in a trusted and promising project a lot can become rich people in less than 2 years.

However if you decided to go far from this comfort zone you can invest in an ICO but make sure you have all the research and all the data that you need from the ICO you are planning to invest to be able to minimized the risk and loss of your investment.

definitely, it is worth doing, since the crypto currency has a high occupancy due to the low cost of emission. the cost of the tokens of a particular project depends on how much money investors have invested in it and how much it has "bought" itself, and also on the effectiveness of the advertising campaign. the more successful the project, the higher will be its coins. but because of the recent fears about how some states relate to the crypto currency and the increase in the scales, the attitude towards ICO becomes ambiguous. Nevertheless, many investors, despite these facts, see the potential in ICO projects and continue to invest in it. in principle, if you invest in a promising product, the profit will justify the costs, so it's worth it.

you should but you have to analyse well. so you can read that!
1- Project
(what are they targets, different from the target and others. you should know deficiencies in the market)

2- Team
(Which country they are citizens of, what they are related to Blockchain, whether they have succeeded in this job before, the companies they have worked with before and Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook profiles.
Actually, I can say that is the most important thing. A team that works and puts out something that constantly improves the project always does business.)

3- Completed Road.
(When you give the money, stay away from those who say we'll start a project!. you can trust started projects before you)

4- Total Supply.
how much will be presented to the market how much will be used to burn. what will happen. and what does it take into account when making a supply. it can be simple trickler. for example, everybody does not supply them. becomes selective.

5 - Distribution Schedules
(Consider the amounts to b provided to the Bounty, which will be stored on the shore).

6- Road Map.

7- Whitepaper
(Please read and pay attention to the language used.)

8- Advertisement
(The importance of advertising and the quality of advertisements should be considered.)

9 - Simple Tricks.

In general, investing in ICO projects is worth it, if the project is successfully completed, such investment can bring a very significant profit and multiply your investments by dozens of times. However, among ICO projects, approximately one-third to one-half of fraudulent projects that only collect money and disappear. Therefore, the risk when investing in similar projects is pretty decent. You decide to take risks, or not.

Beta worked perfectly. Link to Airdrop and ICO in my signature.

Yeah you should but before you do. Research on them properly because its your money here we talking about.
My primary goal in investing in ICOs was to research and understand how this new market is working now. It is overhyped and it looks like a bubble. Nonetheless, the blockchain technology and decentralized ecosystems are likely to change how our societies operate.
Still, I didn’t want to throw money around randomly. My first step was to narrow down my list of potential investments to a manageable number of five to 10. To compile a short list, I looked at three aspects: 1) basic concept; 2) team; 3) interest or hype.

First of all you need to analyze the projects in which you want to participate. Now you can find a very large amount of information, especially if you use the search engines competently. If the information obtained suits you and you are sure that there are no skamas before you, then invest safely.

Ico's are profitable, that is if you can find the right ico to invest they offer a huge pre-sale bonus and a big discount provided that the coin that you are investing can get into exchange at a price that is much higher than the ico price they offer, but the risk is quite high that you need to do a lot of research.

I invest in altcoins because it's the way to invest into your future. But I choose consciously in which project to invest.  The best way to profit from ICO is to invest into ideas which are already turned into projects. It is important to choose a project which is aimed at solving real-life issues. If you are afraid investing, start from participating in bounty campaigns.

The most important thing is to DYOR (DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH)
For icos, you should not depend on anyones comment or views because these are your investments,, your hardearned money and it needs to be invested wisely.
Thus, for icos, or dipped tokens, go through their whiepaper, roadmap and figure out every basics needed.

Then you can invest, hodl and then trade your profits
Thats the perfect way to go about it.

There are really risks in investing, even this icos that really have a great features suddenly turned scammed. Like everyone else is saying, only invest what we can afford to lose.

You are right with this, even the most popular ico can even turn scammed after their successful ico, this happened many times now and I have seen those icos already made their exit scammed. We just really need to invest good amount that we can accept if ever we loss it.

not all ICO projects are successful, but if one successful investment can profit and beat 9 problematic, why not.

as an illustration, suppose you have 10 ETH
and you are investing in 10 ICO Projects that you think will benefit both short and long term.

and fortunately you are lucky 1 big successful ICO project and you get 1000% profit from your investment.

then if there are 9 projects that failed. one good project can cover it all.

of course if you are lucky.   8)

I would not at all rely on the opinion of the site with ICOs ratings. On the site ICObench in general, the assessments of experts are made for money. Evaluation of the project before investing should be done only by yourself. This will help reduce the risks of scam, but will not protect completely.

It all depends on how you look at it but you have to research the ICO project extensively before investment.

Read whitepaper, examine social media accounts and project team. Also team members are one of the most important stuff for project. Research their past works, linkedin accounts, attended events etc. Also there are so many cryptocurrency for worth investing in market. Research is key point in this regard.

Even if you conduct a qualitative study, you can still run into scam. If the project is not scam, then this is not a guarantee of the economic success of the project. It is likely that after the ICO the price of the coin will be much lower than it was at the time of the ICO. This is largely due to the situation on the crypto market.

Investing into an ICOs is one of the many things you can do to make a lot of money. Even if it's not the best investment strategy, it's one of the most profitable investment that you could do if that project you invested to succeed. Base on an article that I've read, 1 out of 10 ICO are surely a scam and rest are either going to succeed or going to fail. I'm not going to recommend an ICO that you could invest to to avoid confusion, but I'm going tell you the means before you invest. One of the best thing that you could do is to read their entire whitepaper, never miss a single thing. The last one is to know the background of every people behind the project.

Yes there are scams out there. So the responsibility is on the investor, to do his or her due diligence and fact checking before deciding whether or not to invest in an ICO. There are several online platforms who host genuine ICOs, because they themselves have done the due diligence on behalf of the public for example "kickico". Another thing is to decide if the project resonated with you and you are interested. Do not just invest randomly.

If the ICO is good and the team is honest, the ICO can also be to the moon on the Exchange.

I would recommend to wait until an ICO is coming to an exchange. Only few ICOs at this year could gain profits, 95 percent of all ICOs got a big losses for the investors. So if you are interested in a coin, just wait till it will be live on exchanges and buy much cheaper :)

I agree. Even ico got 50% you can experience to lose your money because after it list in exchange for sure the price can drop and that is the reason why many people invested in ico got lost.

Good day fellow investors,

I have some spare eth and btcs and I am searching for an alternative way to invest, is ICO really worth it? and if it is, I heard there are scams, what can you recommend I should do?

Regards.
If you lose the all money in the coins. ICOs is the best way to recover the money in the short term without any harmless and investment. But you too have to be careful to use the ICOs. Because at this moment the most ICOs are the scams.

It sounds strange. But you still can get good profit from ICO.
But you should get the best price, it possible on the private sales. Unfortunately you need to have  quite significant amount for particiaption on the first stage to get the biggest discount.

Well, it all depends on you and your preference. Do you think if you come upon a certain bounty campaign, is it worth spending a ton of cash on this project? Think about how much will the project fly if you placed your money there and how much you will be making once everything has been set after the ICO.

Of course mate most of the time you can buy cheaper and big bonuses ! But i only suggest to participate to ICO that has 30 lock period for bounty hunters to avoid dumping of coins ! But on my cased i always based on industry popularity specially energy sector , One of the Projects im joining with is WPP Energy because of huge demands in electricity purchasing such services required expensive fees , WPP Energy will solve this by providing Renewable Energy to meet the demands of users in a affordable price and will also promote adoption of Clean Energy solutions to help our environment preservation !

Now there are a lot of blockchain technologies applied to people's work and life. His development space is very large, so I personally think that the ICO project is worth investing, but you have to know that there are some ICO projects in the encryption world. It is a scam. I suggest you Before you invest, you need to understand in depth (white papers, goals, visions, missions of the project) and spend time choosing high-quality ICO projects.

ICO investment is risky without knowledge. Thousands of dollars are raised every year. However, not many projects succeed and create real value. Some ICOs call for capital to succeed and disappear, causing damage to investors. So you need to learn to have more experience before investing to avoid losing money

Before investing money, make sure that you know what you were investing at. If there is a bit of a doubt on the ICO, don't proceed with the investment until you are 100% convinced that the ICO was legit. Check the community if they are accommodating to clients. A slight rudeness might define their professionalism. Also, check the CEO if they are active, if they are hands on the campaign, most likely its a legit campaign.

The ICO is still believed to be one way to get maximum profit, but "smart investment" needs to be reviewed before deciding whether this step is right or not. I heard a statement from my friend several times saying that he got X3 to X4 profit from what he invested. Moreover, the current market conditions are unstable so that some projects have decreased prices from the ICO rate when launching in exchange.

This is not good time for invest on ICOs. There may be few projects that will hype even in bear market. But it is too risky. Instead of investing on ICOs you can wait for bottom of market for buying reputed  coins for low price. This is the less riskily investment that i see.

Now a lot of scams in the ICO. And if you don't research the ICO properly, then you are more likely to face scams. And investing in ICO is a very risky business, and here you either earn well or lose everything.
You are right there are many scam ICOs out there that's why we need analysis fundamental of ICOs projects before makes investment in them, we must calculate about the risk of losing money due to investment in the ICOs projects. Also we must make management of money, how much the money will be invested in the ICOs projects, this method is useful to anticipating all of risk investment in the ICOs projects.
It will be a pretty big advantage by investing against the ICO progress will produce many more advantages that make it the progress that continues to generate more prosperity for the future.
the number of successful ICO shows advantages and developments making it an advantage to have a great investment towards ICO.
I suggested to continue to invest against the ICO to benefit much more through investments against the ICO.

creating an ICO is a fairly easy money grabbing scheme so many scammers utilize it. Although now it's less and less common because of higher community standards (escrow, dev Linkdins, whitepaper, credibility etc). There could be two types of fraud. In ya face fraud where the scammer is vanishing with collected funds and more legit ones where there will be some sort of development but only to burn the funds and at the end dump remaining on the crowd.so do a good research first.

20 years later and enter an ICO, or ‘Initial Coin Offering’. Cryptocurrency start-ups raise money by offer tokens which fund the firm’s operations. Early investors hope to get in early enough that the cryptocurrency will be successful. Many of these ICO’s are offered at fractions of a penny, in hopes of rising exponential in value down the road. However, no investment is a sure thing. And even if you have a long-term focus, finding a successful ICO will be difficult. ICOs are a new industry venture and have many unique risks that make them different from an IPO you will find on the stock market. If you do decide to take a chance on an ICO need to collect data about them by reading everything .

The most important thing when choosing ICO project don't fall for scams, for this make your own analysis and follow the ratings of ICO. But don't risk all the money, allocate 10 percent of the total Deposit and try to increase it.

I want to add a little, I think the ICO that is worthy of your participation is if the ICO has Product or Project Innovation. If their product or project is nothing unique from the products on the market, it certainly won't make people like it. obviously that is very bad for the future of the Token or Coin price itself. try to find an ICO that is really unusual. I think it's potential...  :)

Yes, there are a lot of good and pleasant people who are ready to help you with good advice, however, until you yourself study this specifics, you do not understand the principle and the main advantages and disadvantages of investing in ICO, no matter how many people you have not expressed their opinion, it's still useless.
