However, there is no way to know if this author is representative of Anonymous, since they seem to reject anyone who attempts to speak for them.

Anonymous is to groups what Tor servers are to web traffic. If enough people rally around the cause then it might be considered an action by Anonymous, though the Anonymous acting may have no connection to any Anonymous that has acted before. Anonymous is just a name, really, not any particular group. You might as well say "a sizable group of people" as that's basically what it boils down to. |
