Realy, it's not worth waisting words anymore on such threads. Every time the price goes down so called experts appear from every side spreading panic with their predictions based on nothing. You could at least put some more efforts in explaining your theory.

Well most of the coins are in connection with btc value-wise and that is why btc influences them. Not unusual for it to go down once in a while because the price is determined by supply and demand, not something you could touch, for example gold or $$$

What I want to know is how you know this, very few outside of institutions have access to that information, unless it's just a wild guess which happens to match the institutional game plan, stranger things have happened.

Wow, I am seriously getting a flashback from 2014. Posts like these littered the forum in 2014/2015. It really is a trip to see how far we have come now that these type of posts are saying "BTC will drop under $5k, sell now" when they used to say "BTC wont go above $500 again! Sell now!". I would have never dreamed of BTC hitting $5k in the first place. Also Sell now or cry later, lol totally forgot about that one-liner, what a classic! Reading this post has taken me back to 2014, and because of that, I am more bullish than ever and not concerned about this price drop. Anyone remember falllllling? lol.

Its important!The whales may be creating this as you say, but it is a ploy to trick the chickenhearted and the disillusioned to sell and loss big. Then comes the bend or turn that drives the prices right up, making the poor sighted why he ever sold in the first place.

You do understand that once the loss hits 50%-70% it is virtually impossible from a psychological point of view to not take the loss, the human brain hits a pain threshold which cannot be sustained unless you understand what happens next in a very timely manner, which the markets won't allow.

Unfortunately, situation is worse now, a better way to get coins from dip and wait for the future. Even, if you can get the risk, you can sell all the coin you have.
I am in such a situation that I don't know what to do, because technique analysis doesn't work in the cryptoworld.

Well it is not good to sell now, buying bitcoin is the best now to do this is a big opportunity now to earn more bitcoin to hold. Im ready to laugh for those who will sell their bitcoin.  Bitcoin will not go down to $5k what will happen is bitcoin will recover and will increase its value everytime.

I will hold no matter what because I'm not in Bitcoin to get a few dollars right now. I'm interested in real value and in keeping my money safe, far away from the banks.

Bitcoin has lost about of 7% of its value in the past 24 hours, currently trading at $6,780. The majority of the decline took place over a period of just recent hours, earlier today.
I guess that we have seen the sharp price decline because CFTC has requested trading data from crypto exchanges: Coinbase, Bitstamp, itBit and Kraken.
It's no surprise that these platforms might be involved in crypto price manipulation - we will see about that soon enough.

Presumably South Korean crypto exchange Coinrail has been hacked. They are now checking their systems after a suspected hacking attempt.
But from what I can tell this event is unlikely to have really impacted the price action on the markets,
Coinrail is not a big exchange, as thir trading volume is just about $2,5kk - so it is more of a tempest in a teapot.

I have seen any real evidence of educated guesses to say why 5K. Just seems a number plucked out the air. Unless you meant £5K because it's pretty much that now lol

Guess you might be among those manipulating the price in this little way. Only newbies will listen to you and cry after sale. This is practically how manipulations are being done.
 

There is a possibility that bitcoin will go down to $5000 but I'd rather hold my bitcoin than join the panic selling. I believe this correction is temporary and is normal as a part of its volatility and reaction from factors that affects it. Bitcoin has its own time to bounce back again so it better to wait and be patience for its next recovery. Panic selling will give further loss on your investments and instead of selling it's better to buy some cheap but solid coins while the market is still in red.

There is this word everybody should know. HODL. It is normal for bitcoin to be down like that and it is normal too that bitcoin will spring back after that

Possible bitcoin hit at 5,000 USD this month of June and for me, it is good opportunity to buy bitcoin at that point. Maybe nowadays your losing profit or money because of contant price fall in the market but don' t panic and measure the situation happen in your investment intead thinking possitive to this existence is much better. My opinion, keep holding your bitcoin even the price is fall and wait again for another price rise. We all know that bitcoin value is very unpredictable and in a few days bitcoin price will recover again.

Unlikely, because big investors are pooring their money in the market and buying huge amounts of Bitcoin which will result in rising prices due to demand and supply law.

Well if that will happen I will still keep on holding even if the value will fall to 5k.I wont cry since the value of bitcoin is volatile so if you want to earn big you must need to wait for its value to rise again and also you must be patient in waiting as well.

Fact is no one really knows for sure now, your prediction is only a prediction. Some say the support holds at 6.4K and some say once 7k support gets broken, we would touch 1k. But we can only say so much based on our different strategies of predicting.

I will keep hold Bitcoin in spite of any predictions the bitcoin price will drop to 5k, because the prediction is not necessarily true I will wait until the normal price to sell it.

My advice to all bitcoin and cryptocurrency investor is to hold there investments strong green period coming soon.

Nowadays the value of bitcoin is less than 7,000 USD and not too far in 5,000 USD. Many people now are waiting to see bitcoin fall to 5,000 USD varier. Today bitcoin is constantly decreasing its value and bitcoin holder and investors hoping to end it and sadenly recover again to the highest price of it. In my perception bitcoin fall is normal and it has a possitive impact to everyone who want to buy. Also, this scenario is giving chance to everyone to buy bitcoin at lower price.

It's normal if you've been holding Bitcoin for a long time. Drops like these won't be a surprise anymore unless you're new and this is your first time losing money. Bitcoins seems to have a good low support around 6500, but if you make a low trend line from march 2017, then the lower support would be down on 5200 now. But I cant really see we will get down there right now.

That positive decentralisation also makes it a snake with many heads, not easy to see exactly where it'll move next.   I will need more convincing then just exchange pricing, I think thats the tail that is following a direction set in motion by other means and reasons.

The problem is they are correct, the question is how do they know, the issue isn't the price as such, it's the psychology. Most people bought in at $13k, once it hits 50% to 70% loss they cannot sustain the pressure, it will go up again, but that could be months or more of stress with money they don't have, exit is the only short term solution for unsophisticated investors.

Psychology does not allow you to hold on to something 50% to 70% underwater, no exceptions. You can see why they don't let the public participate in hedge funds and give them things like Pantera and Eureka hedge with a eye popping return of 11% year to date.

Make it a simple choice, if they can't take the market drop then sell or set your stop loss, buy the dip then hold to profit later the bull run, it's your funds do whatever you want to happen to it don't over complicate the situation if you knew what is the price last year you will know that bitcoin has the capability to go up in due time, I'm curious what are they going to say when bitcoin is mooning.

Exactly haha, but all of us have different views when it comes to this kind of moment where we didn't expect to have a decline like this. It's up to him if he wanted to sell his coins to those who wanted to buy, he's helping those people to bought bitcoins in a cheaper price :)

Im not sure its that simple or we'd maybe make money betting on it happening.    What I think anyone can do is if the price goes down is to buy reguarly, in this way you gain a better average price.  When eventually BTC has cleared out sellers as it has previously like the 2014 decline for example then all your slow buys on the way down become part of your gains again.

Its less stressful to split up your buys and sells and so you are not reliant on just one price point in time.   Its a process not an event imo

Price of the bitcoin as of now is $6700 and I think it's not go the 5k dollars because if we notice the pricr yesterday until today the price range at $6600-$6700 each bitcoin and possible to become $7000 in this day or next few days you need to invest to bitcoin to earn more profit.

We have different ideas for the price movements and i don't think it is good to say sell now because at first if you knoe what to do you will never sell just because you know or you speculate it will go down more. There is an always perfect idea and strategy for every person. Trust no one but yourself and make your own strategy.

And from what they know, each of them will certainly have different predictions that respond to the price movements, sometimes those who are out there are easily influenced by the things that affect it, and those who are strong in their belief in holding to waiting for the price return to the heights. And also... it can be influenced because of needs or related to life that needs some money till have to sell it. For a true holder.. of course, they will remain firmly standing with high confidence.

I do not know, today bitcoin prices continue to experience a severe decline. I just hope in the near future, bitcoin prices go back up. we know how long this keeps happening, but I hope that bitcoin will soon rise from its decline.

I think presently it is not possible for bitcoin to decrease its price too much. Still people say many things about it some people say its price will in increase in the future while some think that it is going to decrease in the near time but in reality no one knows about it and it is very hard to say something about its future because its price is variable and it varies within seconds.

Even though bitcoin falls in the price of 5k, I will not sell it, because I think this is not the end of bitcoin. If you want to sell the bitcoin you have, it's up to you, but when bitcoin can rise to a better price, then do not express your regret for selling at a low price.

We're not sure about it, everything happens with relation to the market circulation and the demand for it. All that we can do is have patience, because in the past when gradual growth was expected price pumped high, now when large scale growth is predicted to take place the price is going downwards.

Many traders wanna to take profit even markets gonna to crash but they dont want to short with their margin accounts. 5k$ level is support level on charts and breaking this level will cause more panic selling. Let's trade markets no matter it goes up or down.

Yes its below under $5K only, it strugggles to reach $5K. Better if you have funds just invest that is buy more bitcoins now and hold it for future. Most of the people predict the price will increase but dont know when. Maybe it takes some time to increase. Till that we have to wait with patience and hold the coin. One of my friends in workplace also keeps suggesting bitcoin will go below 6000 dollar levels to 5k, I really cannot accept this. I mean bitcoin was around 4000 dollars already before huge pumps started.. It cannot return.
