Frank,

I have not heard about this company until your post just now. I did look at this miner your describe and see it cost around $2,400. That's a bit much for a 200GH machine since butterflylabs.com has a 600GH for under $2,200. This being said the 600GH from butterflylabs.com is a pre-ordered product and you would have to wait for it to be produced after your order it. Looks like the 200GH you're looking at from A8IM.com is in stock ready to ship.

As for your other question most the companies that make mining equipment will only accept wire transfers and bitcoins as these are the forms of payments that can not be disputed.

Good luck.

Looks legit to me, their prices are significantly higher, than the cheapest you can get somewhere else, so there is a big chance they will deliver, also they are not producing, just reselling available equipement.

Let's just assume for a minute that you'd not a shill.

What makes more sense...

Ordering directly from the manufacturer who is known to deliver immediately via UPS for $1160

Or paying $2500 for the exact same thing, but from a website that no one has heard of, which was setup last week, out of someone's house whom also cleans swimming pools...

If you choose option #2 you deserve whatever you get really.

@dave111223

Have you personally ordered from either company?

I've ordered from Bitmain yes; products arrived in 3 days and worked.

Have I ordered from the website that was setup last week, that using a "domainsbyproxy" whois and sells for 150% markup....no

So your suggestion is ordering from a factory in China, because domain proxy and sells 150% markup.
After checking seems there is no address from your refereed company Bitmain and they also us domain protection.
Delivery 3 days within ASIA, isn't that where your are located? Are you the Shrill?

I asked a newbie question and my point may be a little aggressive simply because all the fraud going online because people are so quick to refer someone based on "price" rather than assurance and that's what my self really look at.

Can anyone suggest a website located here in the USA that they have had experience with?

People are suggesting Bitmain for good reason.

They deliver, and they are NOT a scam and they are the best price.

Why would anyone order from an unknown entity at a greater price with no guarantee of shipping.
If you can pay on pick-up that's a whole other story.

Look through the bitmain threads for the good the bad and the ugly. It is mostly all good...

Yes I suggest ordering from the manufacturer in China because:
- They are trusted by 100s of forum members
- They have a proven record of delivering
- They offer the best price because they are the manufacturer

I'm in Thailand, so it's 3 days to Thailand via Express Saver; which is worldwide 3-5 days, so might be 4 or 5 days in US.

But then again you could just hang around here and wait for the next 2 post noob to show up ask about FOuwqf.com that no one has ever heard of and then just buy from them instead.

Let me re-ask the question:
Does anyone know of any company that is located in the USA that sells bitcoin miners for a better price than http://a8im.com with local pickup or delivery?

From my research and talking directly with a8im.com they are:
Register business in the State of Florida since 2010
They offer local pickup and fast delivery
The lowest price on complete 200GH and 400GH miners
Offer 6 months warranty in the USA

@dave111223
I seen your signature about buying soccer shirts with bitcoin and being the "noob" that I am you are contradicting yourself when giving advice on this forum.
Your website http://soccershirtsonline.com/ is "WhoisGuard" should I trust your site?

My website wasn't setup last week; it's been in business 7 years.  https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://soccershirtsonline.com

Where as https://web.archive.org/web/*/A8IM.COM for your website shows it was are parked "For Sale" page as little as 6 months ago:

Plus you could also search customer reviews, you'll see google returns 40,000 results for "soccershirtsonline.com"

Let's see how many results for "A8IM.COM"...800...and not a customer review amongst it.

So let's add it up again for A8IM.COM:

- Website created extremely recently (possibly days ago? certainly less than 6 months)
- No trusted reviews
- Address appears to be a residential house, which is listed as a swimming pool cleaner
- Price is 250% the manufacturers price
- Owner not present on bitcointalk? (or instead uses puppet accounts to try to promote)

Adds up to stay the **** clear

If you want to start selling mining equipment you should come on here using your real account and introduce the business; and be straight up with it "I just started this website, I'm reselling bitmain in US, I have X amount is stock and it's available for pickup" instead of create puppet accounts and sneak in links via bitcointalk and readit.

I mean come on...what exactly did you search for that you happened to "come across" this website?  Wait lemme guess a *friend* (same friend that got 50% defective bitmain stuff) told you about it?

@dave111223
I'm not affiliated in anyway with a8im.com I came on this website to find out about them. The replies I received was to buy from Bitmain since the price was low and I simply stated that a friend bought from them and 50% was defective.
After multiple replies and engaging in somewhat of a conversation there was facts and non factual replies so clearing each one up with you seems to be a one sided conversation and accusing affiliation with them (sound just like paranoia), and reaching out to see if there is anyone out there in the USA offering Bitcoin miners at a reasonable price. A link was given to amazon. If you wanted state something worth more than POM 2 PLY you would have put the time behind the reply. Did you think I was going to take your word all the way to the bank or is this an open forum for discussion and knowledge.

@ anyone with a difference of opinion
Lets compare apples to apples

200GH asic miner amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Visionman-ASIC-Bitcoin-miner-Prospector/dp/B00HFI4420/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1391408422&sr=1-2&keywords=200gh+bitcoin+miner

200GH asic miner a8im
http://a8im.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=59_60

and when I compare the
antminer s1 on amazon
180GH @ $2258 + $110 (psu) = $2,368  I'm paying $13.16/GH
Warranty 90 days

Avalon Asic Miner on a8im
200GH @ $2500 (nothing needed) = $2,500  I'm paying $12.5/GH
Warranty 6 months

So where is the savings?

Title: Re: Who heard about A8IM.COM

There are no savings, even the antminer is so close to negative ROI it is of debate @ 1.45

If there is a couple of weeks delay on shipping there's a huge chance your negative, buying btc is better than risk with an unknown.

I'd still go with Bitmain,I've been watching their threads for a month or 2 now & am satisfied with taking the chance on their miners.

In fact I'll be ordering 2 of em tomorrow  ;D

If you can pay when you pick them up,then give a8im a try  ;)

Good luck!!!

Are the shipping delays your talking about because of the Chinese New Year?

Likewise, am happy with the product, nearly clicked the button a few times, but decided to wait closer to the 8th. A week is along time in this game.

But each to there own, there is enough info in the ant/avalon threads to make a risk/reward decision.

Ant's start shipping again from the 8th after cny

same applies to most Avalon that tend to be built to order, so expect further delays.

Most Avalon based have had production issues with poor quality control from what I have read..

Edit : Frank, you are aware of the groupbuy section I guess, most Ant/Avalon suppliers are split between there and here. Have a good read..

I would like to add A8IM.com is a home address and has no commercial premises.

The website states they order direct from factory ( no mention of the factory being in US ).

Am sure your just paying a middle man here.

Good Luck

Lol, great idea!

Poor Frank has no idea what he's in for.  And dare I say, he deserves what he's going to get since he refuses to take advice from experienced, knowledgeable forum members.

Frank's choices... buy directly from a well-respected, proven manufacturer of ASIC hardware... or a website no one has ever heard of until now that, at best, is a unknown middle-man who is marking up and reselling AntMiners.  And, at worst, is a complete and total scam.

Full disclosure:  I have ordered 3 Antminers, two from Sushi's group buys and one directly from BitMainTech.com.  All three arrived in the U.S. Southwest very quickly (average 3 or 4 day shipping from China. They have these things called airplanes and they're fast!) and all three have worked flawlessly.  And I'm not a shill for BitMain.  I have gear from KNC, Bitfury (MBP and BFSB), ASICMiner and Butterfly Labs.

A friend of mine showed me a8im and i was really skeptical, after all if they were legitimately selling miners at thousand of dollars they should have a decent site (i mean 12 year olds can make a better looking site if they used the right templates, lol). But we live in south florida and said, "well, lets meet with the guy first."

His name is Angelo, he lives in Sarasota and his family has a connection to the manufacturing company. they buy miners oversees and send them to him.

As far as customer service, he's great (he walked my friend thru an issue we had (our own fault) at 1am!) Its not a staff of service reps, its his direct number.

This setup might not be what everyone needs, but since there is no shipping involved for us (we drive a couple hours and just pick them up) its a pretty sweet arrangement for us.

hope this helps.

ps. we asked him to see if we could help him make a better site... he said 'dont bother.' Appearantly, during his previous business venture he spent tons of money on making an awesome site, only to have his rival competitors recolor/reword it and use it as their own for free! not cool.
anyway, hes trying to have repeat customers by the care that he gives them instead of thru his site (idk how well its gonna work in the age of ebay)

What!? This entire country is a reseller of foreign made goods but no ones ordering Nike shoes or under armorer from china... we're ordering from the local mall or store that buys the product wholesale oversees and sells them here in the US.

So why is a8im.com being bashed on for a quality product and a Very competitive USD price???

My name is Rico D. and I have bought a terahash worth of machines ( 5 200Gh/s miners) and there not a scam one bit. ( THE FACT THAT HE OPERATES FROM HIS HOUSE DOESNT LOSE HIM CRED POINTS... IT ADDS ON  CRED BECAUSE HE'S SMART BUSINESS MAN THAT UNDERSTANDS LOWERING EXPENSES DOES MAXIMIZE PROFITS). Technically All us miners are running our equipment at our houses and are doing bitcoin mining business at there residence too (so cant knock the residence address thing).

ANd if you want to go the route of getting things across the world for a cheaper price than STOP purchasing ALL things in the USA all together because nearly EVERYTHING is more expensive here. As for me, I live in the US, do business in the US, and I try and support small business in the US that deliver.

$$$What your paying for is the warrenty, service, and a really awesome miner.$$$

***opinion below***
I believe the whole PREORDER process is a ruse/game/hustle that some manufacture use to one up people that dont know better. here let me show you:

-the bitcoin per gash per day difficulty rate today (2/3/14) is .000228.  200GH/s x .000228= .0456 = $50USD a day (about the first day u plug it in depending on pool also)
-then theres Preorder 2 TH machines "being built" aka doesnt yet exist aka trying to figure it out

----for giggles let's say you waited four months ( since some did that and longer with other manufactures)
Day 1: drive to a8im.com and pick up your machine and drive away with it or get it in the mail shipping out of FLA not CHINA
day 50: you get your initial investment back and use it to double up & buy miner#2 ($2500)
day 75: it takes half the time to get the cost back, and you double up again and buy miner #3 ($2500)
day 87.5...miner#4
day 93... 1 Th/s
96 1.2 TH
97.5 1.4TH
99.25 1.6
100 1.8 TH at this day your making nearly half a bitcoin a day and recuping all your investment

or
--Preorder a machine--

day 1: wait... watching your bank account minus the thousands of dollars
day 50: wait... checking your email freq for preorder updates...
day 100: wait... and having dreams of a miner and finally getting a confirm of batch shipment
day 120: ... your package arrives you plug it in and start to make back you investment at day 120
****THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS:... a 200Gh/s today is worth MORE to you than a 2 TH machine 4-6 months waiting from now

*this is spectulative example based on the price of a bitcoin staying constant and made by using bitcoin difficutly rate if it stayed the same for four month but its just used to demonstrate a general idea)
