Title: BTCmon - Bitcoin Monitor App for iPhone
Post by: danetix on September 18, 2011, 06:44:58 PM
What's New in Version 1.5
- Added merged mining support for BTC Guild, Mt. Red, Slush
- Added mining pools 50BTC, BTCMine, ABCPool, EclipseMC, BitClockers, Ozcoin and BitLC
- Minor bug fixes and performance enhancements

--------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone,

A couple of friends and I just released a Bitcoin app that's now live in the App Store. We had realized the App Store was lacking in well designed Bitcoin apps and felt the urge to remedy that.

We're looking for some feedback on what the community needs and how best to improve what we have.

Not at the moment. We're looking to add more features to the iPhone app before we consider moving on to iPad or Android.

Ah, well, looks great and works just fine on my iPad. I'll happily beta test your Android app when you guys need testers.

I doan see the correlation of the rating leading to more features, can you enlighten me?

for features:
I'd like to monitor Bitcoin-Adresses - like your own or the one of a project (donations) you're intrested in..

Could you give me an example of what you mean?

lets say my local computer club (or just a blogger/coder/designer I like to follow) offers a bitcoin-address for donations.
And I would like to know which of the ppl I follow lready get plenty of donations.. traditionally donations doan make that possible, here since bitcoin that can be transparent.
I do not want to note all their addresses and use the blockexplorer on each manually - but "monitor" a list of addresses (multiple could be grouped to a single name).

so you could make your users adding addresses on a list where your app requests the corresponding data through some blockexplorer and show the data ner to the address/assigned name.

hope the description is clear :) if not plz ask for the detail that aint

also if awaiting a customer to pay - you can add a custom address on the list and easily get to know (optional alert?) when he paid

Bought your app for 2,39 Euro! Not that cheap but it's more then worth the money!!! THX for this great app!

One Problem:
I added my API Key from Eclipse - is it possible to "not show" the deleted workers? EDIT: Inaba fixed the problem! THX anyway!

Greeting from Germany!

Hi, I like your program, but I'm having an issue with my EclipseMC API. One of my workers is showing as 0 MH/s, but the other one is accurate. I talked to the Eclipse Admin, and he thinks its the way you're calling the API in the app.

PM me if you need more info

Looks like thread hasn't been updated in awhile, but thought I'd ask here:

Could you cache the last stats from your workers instead of just showing a blank unable to load data screen for pools that have timed API restrictions (like BTC Guild). Maybe show the last data pull with time stamp and a msg across the top or bottom that says the "unable to load data" msg on a red warning banner.  That would be more useful than the error msg screen.
