Title: 1700W for Six 7950's? Post by: Ratman2050 on February 03, 2014, 04:55:16 AM I am running this setup:
Intel Celeron G1620 32GB SSD 4GB DDR3 ASrock PRO BTC 81 Cougar 1000W PSU Cooler Master 700W PSU 6 - 7950 (Powercolor, Sapphire, 2 GB WF3, XFX, His IceQ) I know, I know, I should've bought the same cards, but this was my first rig so I didn't know how much of a hassle diff. cards would be. For my 2nd rig I got 6 Sapphire 7950s. Anyways, I am a little worried though. I have 4 7950's on the 1000W and 2 7950's on the 700W, the 700W also powers the mobo. I am bit concerned about the 1000W psu not handling the 4 7950's, do you think two 850W would be better? I just don't want to keep buying stuff since I just finally after weeks of testing got the rig running. These cards are not really OC'd right now, they are running at 17/18 I and most are at 1000/1250 clocks. I think most cards are 1.25v but 1 or 2 might be 1.09v. Here's a pic: https://i.imgur.com/NZ48RKL.png They have been running for more than 4 hours now.. Title: Re: 1700W for Six 7950's? Post by: serge13232 on February 05, 2014, 04:50:47 PM In view days my (first) rig is complete in nearly the same config.
1000W + 650W LC-Power Gold. each. 6x Sapphire 7950's DUAL-X @ 1,092V I will inform you how its going. btw. you can tweak your voltage for each card with this method, which works in smos/bamt as well: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/vbe7-vbios-editor-for-radeon-hd-7000-series-cards.189089/ Title: Re: 1700W for Six 7950's?
