I've got few question hope someone can help me here. 1) How can i keep my wallet because i am going to format my computer? i've got some coin in it. 2) Does the bitcoin software have to be on always to receive bitcoin? 3) Why my bitcoin address will change by itself? Will the bitcoin burn if my wallet address is different at the mining threshold one? please... can help me out? Title: Re: Anyone can help me out? You do not need to have the software running to receive coins. Kind of like email, you'll find out about it when you come back. Your addresses aren't really changing, it is just making a new one for you often. You always have the old ones. Using new ones all the time makes your transactions harder to match together. Put it on a usb drive or some other storage media before you format your computer. Once you've formatted, reinstall the Bitcoin client and restore the wallet.dat file to the new location.
