Title: MinPeon Dualminer Image
Post by: lajz99 on February 04, 2014, 12:26:23 AM
Does anyone have an image with the dualminer version of cgminer to run the new USB's?

unless dualminer releases a linux version it will never work on any linux..

You could try:

https://github.com/gridseed/cgminer-3.1.1-GC3355-SV

Just follow the instructions.

If you compile it will install in /usr/loca/bin/cgminer and not where minepeons bin are located ie. /opt/minepeon/bin

I dont have the dualminer USB sticks yet but i'm waiting for the 5 chip miners. Should be delivered end of this month \0/.

AFAIK that is only the BTC driver code. Nobody has released the Scrypt driver code yet for these (though I've asked).

I'm wondering this as well since I'm looking into trying out the DualMiner (once I can get my hands on it) with a Raspberry Pi with a pre-made image (where all that needs doing is,download image, flash image to SD card, boot up Raspberry Pi,input miner settings and off you go) as I wish to retire my aging PC asap from Scrypt mining as I'm fedup with the high cost of electric a day (£1.82 or more each day now) associated with running this.

I figured out that if I got the DualMiner (70Kh/s) and reduced the Power tune (or OC settings, whichever saves more power/noise),I can save a considerable amount of electric and payoff that dualminer rather quickly (as I sell mining contracts on eBay as mining directly is unfeasible for me).

Can someone who's more knowledgeable create a MinePeon OS image that's ready to use from the start as I don't understand compiling/terminal commands? Thanks :)

P.S Can the guy who offered to sort me out with the DualMiner ASIC please get in touch with me as I sent a PM a few days ago? :)

Looks like your right about that.

only thing left is the cpuminer, its pretty straight forward to compile this, downside there is no api so no graphs in minepeon.
